Particles are a bitch btw. Also, fun thing I learned from making this video is that if you lock your camera on two different objects, it will try to find a wierd middleground between the two if you modify it in the animation set editor. So if you try to rotate it or move it, it will freak the fuck out and do all manner of weird movement.

Most of the exporting options don't work right at the moment, so I had to export as a PNG sequence and recompile in virtualdub, which made me add compression so it looks kinda bad (the turret eye wasn't so flashy in the original).
The animation itself took a few hours to make. This is the portal 1 turret model (because the portal 2 model doesn't load in the SFM yet - I guess I could look for a gmod one), so no eye animations, unfortunately.

Good job! Walking/Running animations are something I want to practice first once I get SFM. How did you do it in this example? It doesn't look like you animated each step over and over again, it looks like you replaced the running animation.

You can record yourself playing and then simply replace parts of the animation with your own. Like, keep the leg animations from the game animation and then animate the arms or whatever yourself.
