Your end result isn't bad but because of the smoothing, the timing of vowels is screwed up. It doesn't mean that they look off-time, it means that the mouth opens too slowly for a wide vowel, like for a normal AE sound, most of the time, it wouldn't take more than 1 or 2 frames to open the mouth. What you end up with instead is 5-10 frames of mouth-opening laziness.
