1.) When it comes to words, less is usually more. Especially on the Internet during the age of Twitter and such. Get to the point stat 2.) Facepunch is not a Deviantart-esque hugbox, nor is it an all-out trollfest. You will be critiqued. 3.) Critique is not a stain against your unblemished character. Listen to it, there's usually something vaguely useful within. 4.) Making mistakes is a key part of learning to make an arts. Screw up, get critique, learn. Rinse and repeat for the rest of eternity. Being constantly told I was a "gay who sucks my mom's cock on the regular" was the best several years of my creative exodus. Those days gave me a thicker skin, and forced me to look at my work and improve. I didn't look at the criticisms and think man these people are all haters who should go fuck themselves, I thought man, I must be doing something wrong to be stirring up all these assholes. And yeah, you'll always get haters, but learn to distinguish between hate directed at you, and hate directed at your work, because one of those should be ignored while the other should be focused on intently. No matter how shitty or hollow the criticisms against your work are, you should always strive to silence them purely through improvement in your work and not through shameless arrogance, because while the number of people who hate you will only grow in your career, the number of people who objectively dislike your work can be actively reduced by just shutting up and getting better.
