Working on making flexes from scratch, this crude auto-sync is the product of ~20 hours of manual vertex manipulation and a whole lot of frustration with the compiler system. Alright, I'm done now
How can I improve this piece of late night work? And what should I call it? [t]http://powback.com/gallery/img/cig.png[/t]
Make a decision on whether that guy laying down is in the scene or not, and move him inward or get rid of him depending on what you decide, a light on that brick bit of the building could be good too. Just my opinion. If you keep it I'd call it "Roy, Roy wake up, your wife's found us."
And add smoke particles to the cigarette. L4D/L4D2 has some decent ones if you can't make your own. Or photoshop, I guess.
L4D/L4D2 has some decent ones if you can't make your own.
Can they follow the cigarette in motion if you used them for such a thing?
;42753503']Can they follow the cigarette in motion if you used them for such a thing?
Good question, I'll have to test it to see.
This wasn't as hard as I thought it would be.
That looks really friggin good man, though I think he gets a little more hang time than he should have. Depends on your "style" I guess. Edit: Pageking and no content, man I feel like a chump.
I wanted a slight dramatic hang on the initial leg swing, yeah. It probably could have been sped up a little, but it was my first time doing proper "action" animation and I didn't want to leave anything to chance.
Argh I was an idiot and posted this in the main video thread. I really need some critique on my first test. I just started using SFM a few days ago and would like to get it right. So please feel free to give me some feedback on my video. This was primarily to get into the groove of animating and the controls. Been listening a lot to Fleshgod Apocalypse's lastest album Labyrinth which contains their song Minotaur. I felt compelled to pose something: [t]http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/11652921/minoswip.jpg[/t]
Working on this short bit here: I need a lot of feedback, and that any you give will be considered like the Bible. 1. Classic problems with light and shadow, looking up the infinite literature already on that. 2. I'm not a great animator, not much I'll do to improve some of these motions, mostly the walk. 3. I need more things in the map. I made the map so I can edit it as I please and I've got a lot of mapping experience, so any recommendations for backstage items and if you know how I could get sprites for the stage lights and random camera flashes to work in SFM that'd be awesome, I'm not entirely sure how those items carry over. 4. Sounds are gonna be quieter, not sure how they got to be so loud honestly. Thanks for anything you guys give me.

Out of boredom, I decided to make a 360noscope short. It's not done, but it took me 4 hours in total to make. How is the animation? Too robotic? Too jittery? What about SFX?

The T-rex has far too little time to react what he's seeing. Make him wait a bit longer before he growls, while moving his head, trying to make sense what he's seeing. This makes the animation sequence much stronger. My favorite part of making face flexes is the flex test. After three days of manipulating vertices, it's nice to see all that effort come together and work. I'll post this here since it's a little too raw to put in the videos thread.
[T]http://i.imgur.com/3iM2Gkb.jpg[/T] I'm still pretty new with SFM, and I'm trying to work on my lighting. Is this any good?
Working on a video. Accidentally pressed a key combo that activated screenshare so I made this before I threw the images away.
Threw this together over. Combining keyframe animations and sequences is a pain in the ass. Half of my effort was hiding the shoddy animation job. If anyone has tips or suggestions, lay it on me.

I prefer the motion editor when I do animate, a few flicks of the mouse and some refinement go a long way for subtle movement.
I still need to do some keyframed animation, get the last voice acted stuff into sfm, custom models I need to get around to making and some particles / lighting. I figure since I keep abandoning videos at the start, I need to give myself a topic to do and right now I've came up with a couple darkrp things :v:

Making use of the scaling tool, I have done some splicing for an Imperial Guard themed video that I have started working on. To give you a hint, it will involve Valhallans (which I haven't reskinned yet :v:) Pictured here is an Imperial Guard Commissar who is ready for faceposing and a WIP Valhallan guardswoman. [editline]1st January 2014[/editline] Ooooh the reskinning that lies ahead...
[t]http://imageshack.com/a/img27/3558/pr7p.jpg[/t] Here's a WIP of the scenebuild. Can anyone cast recommendations for lighting a large amount of space? Like this scenebuild? [editline]1st January 2014[/editline] Oh shit automerge has failed me. Sorry for the double post guys.
