I uploaded "Pristine" Elizabeth to the Steam Workshop. Why only pristine? Well, if I try to upload any other variation (or all variations together), SFM just says 'connection timed out'! Or says 'No more space!' Or even "Error: General Error" or "Error: General Failure"! But I'll have my armies fight Generals Error and Failure's armies (and Failure is not a good surname for a General officer, so I'll win eventually) and upload the rest someday. There's even some good in it: I had to create a thumbnail pic and the lighting turned out kickass-y. You guys do want to subscribe: 1. There's been minor updates: - improved skin weighting on hi-res bodygroups thumbs - minor texture fixes - added a bunch of new corrective shapes - added subdivided hi-res hair bodygroup 2. I'm working on a short movie starring Prisitne Liz and therefore enhance the model a little every now and then, and SFM workshop allows me to update the model easily and you to recieve updates as soon as I push them. Also, the latest update reverted sfm_defaultanimationgroups.txt, here you go.

Guess I better finish up on the movies I'm doing with your old version so I can upgrade. P.S. "Error: General Error" sounds like a really cheesy self-introduction.

As it happens, I've just started a small animation exercise with Liz, using the pristine model, and assuming I can load my dmx directly onto the workshop version, that would be great :-)

I won't push anything that breaks animations. To upgrade, subscribe to the Workshop item, delete models/dpfilms/revzin/elizabeth_pristine.mdl from your usermod, launch SFM and that's it, the model's upgraded. I will be pushing an update that will enable procedural bones (hlp_...) in a few days, more specifically, her wrists will be twisting when the hand rotates. Here's the link: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=165714794
Just deleting the usermod model, well, removed the model from my movie, so I copied the model+material files over which of course worked like a charm.
Are you sure workshop is in your SearchPaths? 'Cause that's not the way you wanna go. [editline]2nd August 2013[/editline] So, um, I pushed the first update - the procedural wrists (that won't break your animations, no worries). Could you guys please confirm you recieved it so I could send Valve a love letter for the new Workshop? A little PSA: The elizabeth_prisitine files you have in usermod may override the newer workshop ones! You'd want to delete the files in usermod to make sure you have the latest version (the files are models/dpfilms/revzin/elizabeth_prisitine.* --- all files starting with "elizabeth_prisitine"! )
Hm, workshop version now works as the replacement. *shrug* Good stuff!
Hm, workshop version now works as the replacement. *shrug* Good stuff!
Do the procedural wrists work? It seems that SFM doesn't update the workshop item.
Do the procedural wrists work? It seems that SFM doesn't update the workshop item.
They don't seem to. They still get all weird and warped, and it's just the hands moving.
Yep, as expected. SFM says 'workshop files updated' and even changes the thumbnail picture, but doesn't change the model. I'll upload a ZIP with an update in some time then.

Interesting note: hi-res Elizabeth body on Corset model does something odd to textures. Where corset is tied together, it gets all ripply. Don't know if intentional. Before: [t]http://i.imgur.com/KAAWiAn.jpg[/t] After: [t]http://i.imgur.com/C8Bk9dm.jpg[/t]

Should've directed more attention to her back - I always feel very stupid closely examing or editing 3D asses and breasts and rush this obviously unavoidable part. Can't do anything with it!
I'm aiming to release my big Elizabeth video sometime shortly before or after the release of Burial at Sea. Optimistically. I'm trying to use the date as extra motivation, and I'm probably still underestimating how much work is still to do. Needless to say, I'm HWM Elizabeth-overdosed. I've seen nothing but her ugly (j/k) mug ever since the model's release in the Summer, so it'll be good to finally release all this stuff. The fact that I'm still discovering cool new stuff to do with the model proves just how high quality it is, so props to Rev and Alex Portman. It holds up like a crazy mofo.
We're waiting for Burial at Sea too Perhaps a HWM Liz updated with the DLC model will be a nice moment to release my Blender HWM Tools, with the model sources and all that stuff
We're waiting for Burial at Sea too Perhaps a HWM Liz updated with the DLC model will be a nice moment to release my Blender HWM Tools, with the model sources and all that stuff
I'm having a lot of trouble trying to make a HWM model. Any tools that will help with that would be awesome!!
While everyone's enjoying the DLC, I, being in debt to powerful and dangerous people like Grub, had to do what had had to be done by me and face the consequnces of not enjoying the DLC but rather learning to use the UE Viewer [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/91422001/hello_nurse.png[/t] HEEEELLOOOOOOO NUUUURSE! I bet on two stuffed pillows. So, Irrational are apparently as lazy as I am and the head is just a very pale reskin, so there won't be much work with the HWM stuff

Now I'm contemplating whether or not to do a re-render of my noir segment once that's out. Hmmm... [editline]13th November 2013[/editline] By the way, is the configuration for Liz's new hair going to be roughly the same as the others? That way I can still translate hair movement from one model to the other.
Awesome work! Will the dlc character be a new HWM rig, or a body group for the current Liz?
The hair's the same, the skirt is a little different There's already six current Lizes with different models, can't quite bodygroup that
So mr Portman did this fine pic today and I think I need to post it here [t]http://cs411120.vk.me/v411120431/a3b4/fuPaLCbBVRU.jpg[/t] Smoking, um, kills, yeah? We're releasing by the end of November. This would be not only Noir Liz's release, but an update to the whole pack, with procedural bones, adjusted flexes, more correctives, bug fixes and stuff - and most importantly, the source files for all the models with scripts to aid with HWM and general shape stuff

Oh, goody! I'm personally hoping for the ability to get a little more flexibility on top and lower lips, for convincing teeth gritting and whatnot (For some reason whenever I try, it looks like she's still being pouty and quite can't get the lips over her gums)

Also, would it at all be possible to create a bone or two for Pristine Elizabeth's little tie/scarf thing? Some of my pieces have her flying through the air with her hair and dress flapping in the wind, but her tie is totally still and it looks weird. ========================== Okay [t]http://i.imgur.com/fy2J7cp.jpg[/t] Even with fold lips, I can't get it to look like her lips are tightening up. With a bit more prodding, you can get this... [t]http://i.imgur.com/dKYyLwM.jpg[/t] But even here, it doesn't fully work (maxed out LipsV, LipsUpV, LipsLoV. Smile and Platysmus.) She looks halfway to a grimace, but not quite there. Just not enough teeth showing to look like a full expression of that element. [t]http://i.imgur.com/JBeT4Ns.jpg[/t] LipsV taken to the negative limit does an ok job tightening lips, and gives the upper gums some more breathing room but at the expense of the lower gums. So you can still can't quite get there. In short, it just seems difficult to make this work like it should right now. I'll see what I can do Yep, I'll upgrade the tie, I wanted to do it for my movie too Meanwhile, we're gonna have a bodygroup with the bust size being more consistent with the main game 'cause it's looking wierd in the DLC if you ask me [t]http://screenshot.su/img/6d/9a/3f/6d9a3f80cd03fd953de29c83658b955d.jpg[/t] Also coded a fun little thing that assembles ZIPs with 1) Liz's compiled MDLs, VMTs and VTFs 2) only MDLs 3) Liz's source files with a button press [t]http://cs537202.vk.me/u16000377/docs/b30a5524a23d/file.jpg?extra=_GHrfMHOOgC6QxSR7N4O_SmeV7MsnA6_1iiN_rrG7nYyoL9z8fgKzHioPkFPBYk88wf_0bN-KgrCe2LERaYBFqYgG9l5xA[/t] Scripting routine stuff like this actually improves the workflow a lot
Sorry to ask this, but will you (or someone else) make the models compatible with Gmod as well?
I'll release the source files for Blender pretty soon with the basic HWM Toolkit stuff If someone's up for porting them to Gmod - as a seperate pack, it's not a bright idea to make these ones compatible with both apps -, then please do, it'll be nice to see them there. I won't provide any guidance for the porting process though, cause I don't know much about Source collisionmodels and joints and am not keen on learning that. There was a 3DS Max guy who had the intention to port them to GMod, but he didn't want to use Blender so the process halted
A tiny WIP preview of a small section of my video. One of the last incomplete sections - as well as most difficult by far - but progress is coming fine. [t]http://i.imgur.com/9XnAVTX.png[/t]
Any updates, Rev? :)
