Skip him. I skip people and so did Sobo/RedS/Face in E&R.
If they can't get a turn in soon enough oh well

Cept it's kind of important that I know what he's doing this turn, because I need to gauge reactions. There are three players involved in this, so I figure it's enough grounds to delay.
PM him and give him an hour. That's more than enough. Work on the turn until the hour is up. If he replies with a turn in that time period edit him in, if not post without him.
[editline]24th February 2012[/editline]
Oh wow he has his facebook linked to his FP. I didn't know anyone actually did that. He's cute.
Are you going to add him Ven? I bet that'd be sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo wacky
I did, yes.
[editline]24th February 2012[/editline]
Are you going to send in your WiB turn this time?
Ah, yes. Terribly sorry about that, just been busy this week and kept forgetting it. I'll have it by tomorrow hopefully
I did, yes.

He hasn't been on for 18 ours, he won't get it. If it's not in next time I work on the turn again I'll go on without him.
And as for WiB turns, I'll write mine in the morning.
I'm pretty sure you can get email notifications if you get a PM. he might have that on.
Regardless why stop working on the turn? At least get it done except for him so it's easier for you to finish it once he sends his shit in.

im writing my turn now
Unfortunately, it's too late to get one now. You all get to wait until tomorrow evening/night. I need to get up in 6 hours so I'm going to bed in a few minutes.
Gee thanks Wizard.
You're still cute though so I guess I can let it slide. once
Turn now please.
Sorry guys, I knew that this is how it was going to go if I didn't have it in last night. I had a long day today and a shitty time and I come back to people up my arse about the E&R map and this game.
I'll have a turn within the hour, probably.
[editline]25th February 2012[/editline]
I still never got wizard''s turn.
Just skip wizard, just say his entire race just got stuck in a time warp for the next turn, and when he sends in his turn for this turn, edit it in.
Yeah do that. As nice as Wizard is he's somewhat unreliable. He's done this in WiB too. Said he's writing his turn or he'll do it now, and then never sends it in.

Imperial Veran Empire
Ven Kaeo
Technology: Projectile Weapons, Particle Weapons, Fission Pulse Engines, Basic FTL drives, basic Shielding
-Verans produce basic shielding for their ships. The shielding uses reactive armor plating to counter ballistic munitions or surface damaging beam weapons.
-Veran fleets reach their destinations, discovering 3 new systems. The first is centered around a red supergiant, and contains only a single large gas giant. The second is a small white dwarf, and contains 2 small planets made of dense metals and one rocky planet. The final is a binary system and contains 4 gas giants, all with a variety of planet-sized moons. They are named Pirosha, Spinca A, and Spinca B.
-An FTL Comm Array is launched in the direction of Valentia.
-Production of the orbital shipyard continues.

The United Sol Confederacy
UrbanMachismo
Technology: Projectile Weapons, Fusion Engines, Advanced Lasers, Low-Power Shielding, Hyperspace Drives
Hull Classes: Fighters, Corvettes
-A new fleet is produced this turn.
-The Confederacy develops and implements more advanced lasers. While also viable weapons, they can be applied in an industrial setting for increased production, in mining, or in other ways yet undiscovered. The primary use currently is for ship-side cannons.
-A new shipyard begins production in the Rhine.
-The colony discovered last year is named York. It is found to have little useful minerals other than iron.
-Two new systems are located and colonized. One contains only small rocky bodies, and the other a mix of rocky bodies (4), gas giants (2), and water worlds (2).
-The research team successfully enters the orbiting mystery ship. Their ship is locked into a geosynchronous orbit overhead to block out the sun long enough for the team to drill through the hull and enter. It is found to be the construction of an unknown race, with technology seeming to be more advanced than the Confederacy’s. No life or clue as to the ownership is found. As much of the technology as possible is removed from the ship for further study. Of interest is the ship’s generator, which is currently beyond the understanding of the Confederacy’s scientists. Included in the tech brought back are what appear to be particalizing weapons.
-Two FTL probes are launched- one towards the galactic center, and one toward the Yith system.
[NEED A FLAG]
The Terran Republic
StarToad
Technology: Projectile Weaponry, Basic Lasers, Plasma Engines
Hull Classes: Light Fighters, Heavy Fighters, Corvettes
-Terran scientists attempt to salvage blueprints for previous Terran advances found on their ship, but fail to successfully decrypt the information so far. (no new tech)
-A fighter is sent in the direction of the FTL Comm but does not intersect it. What they do intersect, however, is Vanduran Tambor Fleet, who takes the ship as a threat and fires on it. The ship survives and returns home.
-Recruiting is limited due to the number of undertrained soldiers.
-President Reyulant is almost killed during a routine check of a training base.
-Cities are established and a market economy forms. Public sector workers are highly paid and highly taxed.
-Mining operations begin, and vast mineral reserves are located. Synthesizing Ununepentium, Element 115, begins.
-Megacorporation Pineapple develops a popular but pricy personal computer system. This goes well as the military creates the ExoNet across the planet.
-A libertarian-esque constitution is established.
-The Vanduran scare causes a panic in government and in the citizenry as it is assumed that the Vandurans are hostile combatants. The public is highly uneasy and arms sales and productions go up as personal defense is seen as necessary. More people voluntarily join the military against the will of the government.
-Piracy becomes a problem, both through the ExoNet and physically, as a ship of Helium-3 is attempted to be hijacked.
-The hovercar is invented and sold.
-President Reyulant places himself as a general in the military. Defensive precautions are taken in preparation of potential perceived Vanduran invasion.

Valentian Commonwealth of Kingdoms
DanRatherman
Technology: Projectile weapons, Ground-based projectile artillery, Fusion engines, improved infantry armor and weapons
Hull Classes: Fighters, Corvettes
-The Elite Guard is modernized and equipped with heavy weaponry and strengthened armor.
-FTL research begins, vastly improving potential FTL breakthroughs.
-Long-range frequency scans turn up little, except slight irregularities originating from outside the galaxy.
-A military expedition discovers and claims a nearby system, containing a heavily forested world and a gas giant orbited by 2 planets with silicon-based lifeforms. The two moons are determined unsafe for colonization.
-All colonizable planets in both systems are divided by control to various nobles. Nearby systems are also claimed by individual nobles for when they are colonized.

The Grox Empir
Overpain
Technology: Projectile Weapons, Fusion Engines, Low-Grade Lasers, basic FTL drives, Eroding Weapons
Hull Classes: Fighters, Corvettes, Frigates
-A new fleet is built this turn.
-Eroding focus-rays are developed that, when focused on a target, quickly erode the surface layers of it. These are costly to produce compared to laser systems with similar affects.
-Market ships begin constructing small colonies between colonies independently from the government, in order to allow for greater transport and a broader economy.
-A FTL comm. Array is sent in the direction of the Yith in hopes of technological trade, however, it goes off the grid near the galactic center and is not heard from again.
-A series of other probes are sent out in random directions. All emit the message "We are Grox. We are strong. Join us and be strong."
-The First Fleet begins its trek towards the galactic center. It’s slow goings and quite dangerous, as spacetime/Fourth-Dimensional holes and energy anomalies offer constant threat.

The Great Lux
Konakona940
Technology: Light-powered technology, Fusion Engines, Projectile Weaponry, Basic Holograms
Hull Classes: Fighters, Corvettes
-Manipulation of light through lenses and mirrors creates basic holographs. The technology is further focused to be applied in smaller scale, and peaks the interest of the public with access to it and the scientific and military branches of society.
-A star cluster is claimed. No planets exist in the cluster, but the stars, all within one lightyear of each other, provide an orbital base of operations. A large telescopic array is built here.
-With the solar-covered planets doing their jobs well, and energy and economic boost takes all classes up a notch on the social ladder.
-Lux colonies are built under vast domes in the new system, offering significant protection.
[NEED A NEW FLAG LINK]
Vandura
wizard`
Technology: Projectile Weapons, Fusion Engines, Advanced ADC-FTL Drives
Hull Classes: Fighters, Corvettes
-A new fleet is produced this turn.
-The Early Warning Array detects the Grox ships, but quickly goes offline due to the conditions of the near-galactic center.
-The Vanduran Tambor Fleet is approached by a Terran fighter, and is fired upon in seeming self defense. It is determined that the Space Dock could be in danger, and so the Fleet parks between Helios and the Space Dock.
- The euphoria of meeting the Hyperkin gives the population a brief morale boost, but the news of the meeting with the Terrans goes negatively and so benefits to the population are not as great as expected. Regardless, a slight economic boom begins, and an official alliance is forged.

Hyperkin
Sunny Dei
Technology: Projectile Weapons, Fusion Engines, Reinforced hull armor for ships, HECS.
Hull Classes: Fighters, Corvettes
-A new fleet is produced this turn.
-New technologies are researched, but results come slowly (no new tech).
-The First Fleet, Hextura’s Conquest, colonizes a new system containing 2 huge gas giants with hundreds of moons.
-Market ships move outward towards the Space Dock to link up with Vanduran ships to begin a trade route.
-The euphoria of meeting the Vandura gives the population a brief morale boost, but the news of the meeting with the Terrans goes negatively and so benefits to the population are not as great as expected. Regardless, a slight economic boom begins, and an official alliance is forged.
-On Dexjura’s Eye, scientists use the readily available methane pools to melt portions of the ice encasing the black monolithic structure. It is quickly determined to be covered in carvings and is made of a hard metal. Scientists are able to partially translate the hieroglyphics and find it to be from an extinct race who resided in this area of the galaxy and worshipped a cosmic being. A map of the local area gives details as to the location of other ancient sites.

Great Race of Yith
[Seed Eater]/NPC
Technology: Projectile Weapons, Fusion Engines, Ground-Based Magnetic Accelerator Cannons, Reactive shields for cities, temporary mind-jumps
Hull Classes: Fighters, Corvettes
-No real news, as the Yith are still outside of their bodies. Some cities take minor damage as the Canine-creature minds cause havoc.
Complaints? Corrections? Talk to me tomorrow, not tonight.
Damn, two turns without any tech? Oh well

I tried to be funny :3
Also:
poor terrans and yiths
I'm assuming that wizard didn't get his turn in? The fighter was a troop transport, and it had a diplomat, two scientists, two engineers, and the rest of the crew being Soldiers on it. They weren't supposed to attack at all, and were more of a "This species should hopefully be peaceful, otherwise we're fucked" Research Mission, with a diplomacy mission if contact IS made.
Your ship didn't attack, the Vandua just fired at it in self-defense. I think the problem is that they saw an unfamiliar ship that didn't show any signs of being friendly or not so they just opened fire
But there's the chance that Wizard STILL hasnt sent his turn in, so it's hopefully temporary stuff. It's not in my best intrests to start a galactic war so early. And especially against someone that isnt the Grox.
Yea, Wizard' didn't get his turn in. You should call the ship types by their class, not their designation, though, since that confuses me. The Vandurans had no way to tell what kind of ship it was anyhow.
So seed, how does this mystery map work? Does it just stretch to my corner of the galaxy?
So seed, how does this mystery map work? Does it just stretch to my corner of the galaxy?
The dot with all the lines coming out of it is Dexjura.
You get to figure the rest out.
The Ship that was shot at was the Heavy Fighter/Light Troop carrier, The "Lightning", as seen in this data sheet I have:
[T]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8968392/forumgaem/TerranData.png[/T]
If anything, it's not exactly fit to take on an entire fleet. It'd be vaporized before it could fire off the second shot if it DID fire. So as soon as Wizard sends in Turn 5 we'll see the turn being edited accordingly?

Well turn 5 is gone and past. If I made a mistake, I'll change the turn, but otherwise it is how it is. The whole thing can be fixed next turn if the parties involved choose to.
Eh, it's kind of a major mistake, though. The Terrans and Vandurans were supposed to get into an alliance with the Hyperkin, not start Galactic War I. I say let Wizard turn in his turn for Turn 5 and edit the post once he does, and then work on Turn 6.
I guess I'm going to be the Indiana Jones of space now
You're gonna dig up stuff and fight Space Nazis over said artifacts while donating them to a Space Muesem?
Well the Grox are already the Space Nazis so ya, why not?
