I wan't to see the turn now.
Your wish shall be granted. I'll write it now. [editline]1st March 2012[/editline] I'm going to try something a little bit different this turn with the planets, if no one minds. I'll include a list of planets you control, their environment, their known resources, the star they orbit, and any planets/colonies/features, since lots of people are relying on mining now and I feel like I should have that jazz straight.

I like it Seed. You shall do it.
dont forget that i have best lasers for mining. Also is that new material i wrote to you are valid?
If you're referring to the colonizing around the core, then yes. It will be a bit longer than I expected, I need to run and do something right quick. I have over half the turns written. As long as you guys don't mind a bit more of a delay on the map and the planets list, then you guys should be seeing it soonish*. *In Valve time. It will be tonight, and will be before 8:00 EST, or Shub Niggurath can take my fifth child. (unrelated note, I don't plan to have five children).
Eh, i'd only update the Map, and work on the Planets list after, then have it in a later post as we wait for the next turn. That might work.
Alright, back at it.

Well, next turn should be within 27 minutes hopefully, it's 7:33 PM EST, and he said 8 PM EST for the turn.
Yes but his punishment was hollow if he doesn't bear a fifth child. Ergo he lied like the frozen poultry dinner he is
Well, we have nine minutes until the deadline for the turn, hopefully Seed or VOSK will produce a miracle. Well, so much for that Miracle. We might as well discuss the system Wizard is making or any other GaW related stuff.
Turn's done, working on map. [editline]1st March 2012[/editline] I suggest if you don't have a turn in (Sunny, Lux guy), get it in NOW
I turned mine in...but I'll send it again
I was wrong! That's a good thing, I think.
Wait, sorry Sunny, I have yours. I need Konakona940's and UrbanMachismo's. [editline]1st March 2012[/editline] GALAXY AT WAR, TURN 6: YEAR 2261 [t]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/38678023/GaWturn6png.png[/t] Imperial Veran Empire [Red] - Van Keao Vandura [Facepunch Blue] - wizard' The Hyperkin [Light Green] - Sunny Dei Great Race of Yith [Purple] - Seed Eater Grox Empire [Navy Blue/Grey] - overpain Sol Confederacy [Orange] - UrbanMachismo Valentian Commonwealth of Kingdoms [Yellow] - DanRatherman The Great Lux [Green-Yellow] - Konakona940 The Terran Republic [Light Brown/Tan] - StarToad Mjythra [Light Blue] - WubWubWompWomp Imperial Veran Empire Ven Kaeo Technology: Projectile Weapons, Particle Weapons, Fission Pulse Engines, Basic FTL drives, advanced Shielding -The Verans improve their ship shielding significantly. The new shields use intelligent computerized systems to automatically detect and fire on incoming physical objects, while maintaining protections from laser weapons. -The second and third fleets discover two separate systems. Both are stars closely orbiting each other, but not in a way as to be a binary system. The proximity of the stars in both cases leaves little besides large asteroids with erratic orbits. These are named Sirius Tau and Eadrax. -The Archenar Shipyard is completed, as is the Fourth Fleet. A shipyard in Omnicron Alpha begins production. A siphoning platform is planned for Doorsimoor Nebula, but is put on hold shortly after construction begins due to shortages. -A large scale colonization program begins, colonizing as many of the planets as possible. Those planets that cannot be colonized are host to orbiting worker stations, which act as housing for those involved in new mining operations. A myriad of minerals and materials are acquired, but the primary goal of fissionable material is far from the most common. Still, the uranium trickles in at a steady rate. -Although fuel is incoming, there is a temporary shortage, preventing notable progress by the First Fleet. Resources given towards colonization limit those available for new ships and a planned space station, causing a delay in production this year. -The Comm Array broadcasts the message: “We are the Veran Empire, the long lost allies of the Valentians after the Great 42nd War of Hexuron.” It is picked up in Valentia. -A series of comm. Arrays are sent out in the directions of several civilizations. -Recruitment of military personnel increases substantially to fill the requirements of the new fleets. The labor force is supplemented with a large influx recruited into mining, staffing, and construction. Because of the delays, jobs and payment come slowly, causing overall dissatisfaction with the industries by new workers. Valentian Commonwealth of Kingdoms DanRatherman Technology: Projectile weapons, Ground-based projectile artillery, Fusion engines, improved infantry armor and weapons Hull Classes: Fighters, Corvettes, genius birth -New medical procedures are developed to encourage the birth of gifted Valentians. While expensive, these procedures are promoted and popular, although their results are yet to be seen until the Valentian born through these procedures mature. -Communications bases are established in orbit around planet Avongard, the forested world claimed last turn in the system of the same name. It is colonized, and quickly found to be host to many very nasty natural species and semi-intelligent large hominids, who provide resistance to the colonists. For the most part, colonization goes fine and several towns are established. Foresting industry begins light logging. -The Valentians pick up the Comm Array message: “We are the Veran Empire, the long lost allies of the Valentians after the Great 42nd War of Hexuron.” -The two moons of the gas giant in the Avongard system are discovered to be rich in radioactive Thorium. It is discovered that the moons leave a radioactive dust shell all across their host planet, Marae, making orbit around the planet or the moons dangerous. It is unknown how continuous mining operations could occur at this time, but Thorium could be a valuable fuel for fission-based systems. -A new fleet is produced. The Terran Republic StarToad Technology: Projectile Weaponry, Advanced Lasers, Fusion Engines, basic FTL drives Hull Classes: Light Fighters, Heavy Fighters, Corvettes -Contact is made with the Vandurans, who send a signal towards the planet on their fly by welcoming Terran cooperation in the space dock, and apologizing for the hasty response. They offer to repair the Terran ship, but the offer is refused. The Terrans seem to be mostly mistrusting of the Vandurans, after the incident, leading to increased military recruitment and arms ownership. -Nevertheless, the Terrans do make a landing at the docking station, where they make contact with the Vandurans and the Hyperkin. -The Terrans successfully decode some technological data from their ship, including refined laser weapons, basic FTL drives, and fusion engines. With this information, it is possible to modernize the Terran fleets. -Presidential elections occur as the term limit of three years is reached, and Reyulant is replaced with President Owen. A new law extends equal rights to extraterrestrials in Terran sectors. The law proves extremely unpopular, in no small part through rumors of interbreeding between races, and results in a political seizure in the Senate by anti-ET and pro-Terran Nationalists. It is removed by the Nationalist senate. -Owen is quickly removed in a coup by Nationalists after pirates release government documents showing him to be an immoral person. President Jackson takes power with mass approval. -Due to continued piracy seemingly unhindered by new laws, a new form of currency is established. The new Credit is computerized and rather difficult to forge. The security of the new Credit provides a minor economic boost. -A competitor to Pineapples, Macrohard, develops and begins to see popularity with the release of popular videogame “Death”. -Police crack down on the trend of street racing with hovercars. -Former president Reyulant is placed as head of the X-Com unit, specializing in extraterrestrial combat. After combat with pirates, he is wounded and forced to remain hospitalized briefly. Stolen ships from the newly created Second Fleet are recovered in heavy combat from a neighboring system. The Nationalist Senate funds X-Com, and the funds are applied to new variations of the laser weaponry for use in ground and space combat. The Grox Empir Overpain Technology: Projectile Weapons, Fusion Engines, Low-Grade Lasers, basic FTL drives, Eroding Weapons, Radiation shielding, Beam shielding Hull Classes: Fighters, Corvettes, Frigates -Grox technicians successfully create radiation and heat shielding for ships of all sizes. For now, these are only applied to the First Fleet, as the expenses are quite high to apply and it seems unnecessary on new ships. A secondary result of this is denser outer ship hulls, providing increased protection from small projectile weapons and beam weapons. -Defensive orbital cannons are constructed in major systems. Construction begins in smaller systems. -Early warning arrays are created, and a policy of “Contact us first, or we’ll shoot first” is enacted. This message is broadcast by all early warning arrays. -Que"as"ada is claimed by the First Fleet, near the galactic core. A single planet in the system contains undiscovered super-dense metals. -A third of First Fleet ships are damaged in a massive energy pulse from the galactic core and forced to return to Que"as"ada. The rest of the fleet continues at their slow pace around the galactic core, with only minor damage. All ship navigational instruments become useless due to the increasing energy anomalies and super-dense magnetic bodies. Hyperkin Sunny Dei Technology: Projectile Weapons, Fusion Engines, Reinforced hull armor for ships, HECS, Heat-resistant shielding, Beam weapon shielding, Advanced ADC-FTL Drives, Blink-Point Drives Hull Classes: Fighters, Corvettes -Extreme heat-resistance shielding is produced in much the same method as Grox shielding. This allows the ships to, in theory, sustain heat up to 800 K. While mostly ineffective against radiation, they do provide strong resistance to beam weapons. -The Second Fleet, Tyir Assault, discovers a system. A survey team is sent into orbit to survey the surface of both planets in system, and discovers black monolithic structures similar to that found on Dexjura’s Eye. Both planets are mostly Mars-like, but with a healthy oxygen atmosphere. Upon landing, the crew loses contact and a rescue team is sent down. 3 members of the survey team are recovered and returned to the fleet. It is not known what happened, but the corvette they were returned to was plunged into chaos, and the ship was considered lost. Given this event, the fleet pulls out of the system, leaving behind the lost corvette. It seems you have a case of space fungus. -Market ships set up a resource-hopping colony on their way to the Space Dock. -Third Fleet, Kriate, discovers and claims a new system. Their luck is better than Tyir Assault’s, but no great gains are found. A stormy waterworld and a small gas planet are all that are discovered, neither yielding many resources. -Successful mining of the Jhosa-Rim gas giants and their many moons is producing large amounts of helium, hydrogen, methane, iron, and copper. -Hyperkin make formal contact with the Terrans on the Space Dock. (See Terran and Vanduran turns for more info). -Technology trade commences with the Vandurans. The Vandurans welcome Hyperkin immigration, integration, and trade. (See Vanduran turn for more info). Vandura wizard` Technology: Projectile Weapons, Fusion Engines, Advanced ADC-FTL Drives, Blink-Point Drives, Reinforced hull armor for ships, HECS, Heat-resistant shielding Hull Classes: Fighters, Corvettes -Blink-Point Travel drives are invented. These drives provide instantaneous transfer between two points, but only within a short range. Energy requirements are extreme, needing the equivalent of 10 lightyears of energy used through normal Fusion travel. -Contact is made with the Terrans by sending a signal towards the planet on their fly by, welcoming Terran cooperation in the space dock, and apologizing for the hasty response. They offer to repair the Terran ship, but the offer is refused. The Terrans do agree to dock at the station, where they formally make contact with the Vandurans and the Hyperkin. -The Vandurans station some of their brightest minds at the Dock to work in conjunction with Hyperkin scientists. A formal technology trade is enacted. -A colony is set up on a newly claimed system. This colony is expected to host 3 million populace and will be a major investment on the part of the Vandurans. -The new fleet is constructed with the intent of technological advancement and power, using the greatest of the technology shared between the Vandurans and Hyperkin to create a symbol of the alliance’s power. As it stands, it is the single most powerful fleet in the galaxy, but is very costly to produce and to maintain. It is named the VDF Pluit Mortem. The VDF’s inclusion of Hyperkin into the force aids in the tactical strength of the fleet. -Vandurans welcome Hyperkin into their population, de-regulating Hyperkin immigration and integration in an attempt to increase trade and alliance unity. -A 3kg object is successfully teleported to the Docking station form Tambor. -Merchant ships make their way towards the Dock. The Dock will provide for the central hub of all trade and transport between the systems. -An ADC-FTL probe is constructed and fired towards the galactic core. The probe is covered with a weak energy field. Alone they are of only slightly above average (human) intelligence, but are able to form a hivemind, that rules over their civilization. Weak physically. Obsessed with scientific and technological advances. Not overly war oriented, but will fight if provoked. Irreligious benevolent dictatorship. -Immediate technology is that of the basic quantum computer. (These things would kill the shit out of the Terran computers). -A rebellion by an unnamed slave race is put down and all participants are indefinitely detained. Great Race of Yith [Seed Eater]/NPC Technology: Projectile Weapons, Fusion Engines, Ground-Based Magnetic Accelerator Cannons, Reactive shields for cities, temporary mind-jumps Hull Classes: Fighters, Corvettes -No real news, as the Yith are still outside of their bodies. The United Sol Confederacy UrbanMachismo Technology: Projectile Weapons, Fusion Engines, Advanced Lasers, Low-Power Shielding, Hyperspace Drives, Basic Particle Weapons Hull Classes: Fighters, Corvettes, Frigates -The Confederacy successfully creates and implements Frigate-class ships. -The large vessel is pulled by a mass of volunteer civilian ships from the close solar orbit, to a farther orbit where it can be better researched. -Technology back-engineered from the ship is limited, but it includes basic particle weapons and some contained antimatter particles. (I'll move your ships in a bit) No turns from the Lux. Music: In honor of the Hyperkin's find
Why Seed, if I didn't know any better i would say you're trying to warn me about something! Anyway, is this "space fungus" only on the corvette or has it got to the entire fleet?

Maybe with the new systems discovered you can piece some more together.
You overlooked the turn date. It's 2261, not 2061.
That music is creepy... [editline]1st March 2012[/editline] Seed, You have me on friends? we should talk.
It has good reason to be..... Also did the 1st fleet find anything?
That music is creepy...
Yea, it's supposed to be. Lustmord is a dark ambient composer. He actually produced that track live during the big mass the Church of Satan had on 06/06/2006. Creepy shiz yo. But I like the dark ambient stuff so I dig it.
Remember to join, btw. http://steamcommunity.com/groups/FP-GAW
Turn is open for edits or additions until midnight (2 hours). If you didn't get a turn in or spot something you want changed, alert me via PM or in this thread, or steam, whatever.
So many FTL Comm Relays hahahaha
It's the inter-galactic text message system

Okay listen up boys dat muthafucking website is ready for ~*ALPHA TESTING*~ oh yeaaah. Seed/Sunny please don't touch the GM panel over the next few hours it's going to be going through some serious changes. ----> Click here NOW <---- -The reason tech's are n/a is because the system requires that 3 techs are submitted because it does all the random rolling automatically and the tech's had already been counted. - Planets are N/A because no planet list was made for each player. - No map because this test is mostly about the turn control panel. - No music because ^ ^ ^ that reason ^ ^ ^. Give me feedbacks and tell me things that you think need to be changed kgo [editline]asdas[/editline] I just noticed this and all I can say is...Oh Grox. [editline]asds[/editline] I'm hoping to have the site ready from the GM side of things by next turn and then having players able to submit their stuff by the turn after next.

You have your regular engines and then you have drives, which are like FTL and warp drives and such. Iunno. I'd like to have a turn out by Sunday night, if everyone's cool with that.
