Alright then, turn will be out tonight then! (Also, should this game ever die I have plans for a new game)
I'm thinking about joining this soon when I find an apartment and get everything set up there.

The resource shortage limits their overall effectiveness, though. Tough fighting in the streets poop on the boop zip zop doobidy dop no one cares about the specifics. -Combat with the Vandurans commences. The Grox Second Fleet in Terran space is wiped out by the invading Vanduran First, Fifth, and Seventh armies, and the Terran Second is heavily damaged in the assault. The Vanduran fleets sustain minimal damage, losing only 5 ships (three from combat, 2 from X-Com sabotage) and hold their position on the edge of the Terran system, using the system’s asteroid cloud as a physical barrier to prevent Terrans from attacking back. The Terran First, already preoccupied with its native campaign, happily accepts the low in the Vanduran action. -X-Com overturns democratic rule in Republican and Loyalist forces, and put in power philanthropist and insanely intelligent Siber Teptim, holding the position of “President”. His first act is to mark all Nationalists as traitors (no, really?) Hyperkin Sunny Dei Technology: Projectile Weapons, Elerium Fusion-Pulse Engines, Reinforced hull armor for ships, HECS, Heat-resistant shielding, Beam weapon shielding, Advanced ADC-FTL Drives, Blink-Point Drives, HECS Stealth Modules, Carbon-Crystal Weapons, Plasma Weapons, Mining Plasma, Power Armor, Basic Elerium/Radiation Shielding, Ion Beam Weapons, Strengthened Hulls, Thing Resistance Hull Classes: Fighters, Corvettes, Destroyers Resources: 68 Stability: 60 Market: 45 Colonies: ? Fleets: 4 -A medical resistance to Thing infection is created. Highly expensive and dangerous, the procedure grows genetically modified blood cells that are then placed into the body to take the place of the normal cells. This prevents Thing cells from absorbing the blood cells and limits its spread to a slower speed. -The First fleet rallies close to the Terran system. Initially intending to join the Vanduran fleets, it was too late to the party and hung back. Like the Vanduran fleets, it’s holding at the edge of the Terran system. -The Second fleet discovers a new system. No habitable planets. -The Third fleet begins the daunting task of investigating all colonies for Things. It doesn’t get more than past the first three without discovering a small Thing outpost and incinerating it in the home system. -All newly discovered systems are established with mining colonies. -All systems are reinforced with military personnel. Given this, everything seems strangely…normal. -X-Com agents in Hyperkin space are forced to work on a massive plasma nuke, using large amounts of Uranium. This bomb is used to destroy the planet on which the Thing colony was discovered, fucking the planet up. -The X-Com agents then use a secret bomb to destroy a major communications base in Quel as revenge for the Hyperkin attack against Terra, effectively cutting off Hyperkin contact with all Hyperkin systems and ships routed through Quel. In the lack of contact, no one is sure what could potentially happen. All X-Com agents involved are executed. Steroids, easily applied by injection, that give immediate healing and adrenaline boosts that lead to fast healing. -LADAR scans show little to the south after years of searching. -Mining is increased on all planets outside of the Island. -Bio-engineering is heavily invested into by the government. No notable progress. -Broadcasts are sent out into space and to immediate races inquiring about the being. No one knows shit. -Trade is accepted with the Grox. As of yet, nothing occurs. -Light drugs are legalized. -Moon colonization completes. One nebula. 2 new fleets. -Cavorite is discovered in the far northwest. -Planet cracking continues. -Shielded Tiberium-smelting factories are built on the new Tiberium planets themselves. Tiberium seeding continues. These small and relatively expensive explosive can be silently and almost undetectably fired from large ships- upon contact with an enemy ship, a explosion akin to 30 nuclear warheads occurs, effectively destroying most ships smaller than a battleship. Each fleet is equipped with about 4. -DEFEND. UP. EVERYTHING. A series of defensive platforms are built around the empire. Every system is mounted with them and the ring of defensive platforms extends to new territory. The sudden increase in defenses has many spooked. -Reserve ships are built. An extra 50 ships of every small class are built, and 5 of larger classes. -The Third, seventh, and Fifth fleets are stationed in Sol. The remaining fleets patrol Sol space. Nothing happens this year. -Until the excavation of Cydonia occurs in full. Researchers and military personnel are killed in a massive blast, followed by a long battle against aliens hiding in the Cydonia base. The Aliens are eventually beaten back, but a sudden attack rips the Sol fleets a new one, giving 30% losses in the brief attack, with no alien losses. When used alongside careful ecological planning, and on proper-sized planets, Atmos machines are capable of making a lush garden world in as little as 7 turns. -7 new systems claimed. 2 new fleets. -Defenses are built on all colonies. -Sustainable mining begins on many systems. -Transport and housing on new colonies is freely offered by the government. Containing 4 planets of rocks and metals and copper and shit. They are quickly fucked with for minerals using a newly invented mining industry.
-No new tech.
Who would've known sentient hunks of rock would be so dumb.
I love how all of the shitloads of defences and extra fleets and shit Urban built really didn't do anything to help against that attack that he was preparing for. Poor guy
So did my bomb destroy the Thing planet or did X-com fuck me over?
This bomb is used to destroy the planet on which the Thing colony was discovered, fucking the planet up.
So did my bomb destroy the Thing planet or did X-com fuck me over?
Both. The bomb that you were hit by was a separate bomb. The Thing planet was wiped out.
...What? I didn't send in any turn yet. Did I?
Woops, nope. I screwed up and put this as turn 14, when it should be 15, so I was seeing everyone's as this turn. Regardless, we're still only missing eternal. Expect a turn wednesday.
Making turn now. I was asleep 8 hours ago, so couldn't see this.
*The Grox War: -Verans vs Grox No new Grox Casualties No Veran casualties
Someone needs to fix this eventually
Don't worry. I can throw planets now. It'll be fine.
If you have a large enough ship, that is.
I'm sorry guys, to do this, but I'm pushing the turn until tomorrow. I'm not feeling too hot so yea. Turn will be out tomorrow night, everyone's in, and all that.
If you have a large enough ship, that is.
Bro I have ships that crack open planets as well as Carriers, what Seed coined as 'the largest ships in the galaxy'
But will it blend?
Someone on my Steam Friends list who's interested in this is compiling a list of songs relevant to each race, and apparently after asking me a few questions about the Sithil he chose this one. I'll see what else he can come up with for the others.
I'd prefer have a preview of the Hyperkin song if that's alright
I want a preview of the Terrans, if that is not an issue.
Verans: Psychologically, Vera'ki are a very tightly knit people. They've been united for centuries. They're very open minded, so things like homosexuality, transgenderism, etc. isn't frowned upon at all. They all worship, and their religion is pretty open. The only thing their goddess asks of them is their devotion. As long as they're devoted she doesn't care about your race or sexuality or what you do in laboratories or what you develop. They don't care what another race worships, if anything at all, they just ask that their beliefs be respected, and if you visit the planet, to attend the weekly sermons if possible. Not mandatory for visitors. They can be pretty hotheaded at times, but they're a very logical race. Not Vulcan logical though. So they DO have emotion. They're extremely respectful of the dead, and even treat the dead of enemies as well as their own dead. As a society they're completely integrated with their Android counterparts and vice versa. Android/Veran relationships have started to form and people are a bit iffy about it, but no one judges anyone harshly. Physiologically, they're hardy. Thicker skin than humans have. Their pigmentation/melanin is generally shades of grey. Some ethnicities within the Veran race have different shades of grey, such as a slate blueish grey or a pale red grey. Southern Pole Verans tend to have a pale red colour to their skin, North Pole Verans the slate blue. Equator Verans, who all live underground, are an extremely pale grey. All of these 'colour' shades are EXTREMELY slight, so it's not a huge visible difference. Very subtle. Verans have four eyes, they're smaller than our eyes, and are right next to each other in sets of two in similar placement to ours. They have no protruding noses, just two slits, their mouths have thin, almost lipless edges that can open very wide. They're completely carnivorous, and have teeth similar to sharks, and their faces/heads are teardrop shaped with the rounded edge being the top and a soft peak at the chin. A ridge about an eighth to a sixth of an inch deep runs down the middle of their faces, bisecting them. They're tall, the average height sitting around two meters. Generally low body fat content, but slow metabolisms which causes them to have long life spans. Average lifespan is 130 to 140 years. Due to the strong gravity on their planet, their bones are thicker and denser than humans. Their legs are digitigrade. They have two hearts, four lungs, two livers, and standard amounts of every other organ. Three fingers and a thumb on each hand, four toes on each foot. They don't have fingernails, but rather a sort of short, dull claw in their place. Vera'ki breathe/metabolise a mixture of Nitrogen, Fluorine, and Chlorine gasses, opposed to Oxygen like we do. Conversely, as their bodies use up these gasses, it converts them into Oxygen and Carbon Dioxide. Oxygen will suffocate a Veran in a fashion similar to Carbon Monoxide will a human.

Technology: Projectile Weapons, Fusion Engines Hull Classes: Fighters, Corvettes Resources: 100 Stability: 100 Market: 100 Colonies: 0 Fleets: 1 -Sithil scientists successfully created exosuits that act as a skin, like that of an organic. These advanced exosuits act as an extension of the Sithil’s bodies. These versions of the machines are rather basic for now -High-yield nuclear weapons are created, large enough to do considerable damage to a planet’s surface. -The Sithil fuck their planet sideways in a massive mining endeavor to mine and industrially develop everything, with extreme speed and efficiency. Jesus Christ, it’s like, have you ever seen a laser eat away at something? Well that’s what it’s like. -In a plan of “Fuck this, we’re making it happen,” the Sithil attach fusion engines onto large asteroids and propel them into mining colonies. The asteroids make one hell of a mess of the planets, but the resource yield is magnificent. -“Send out ships to colonize systems” isn’t enough. You need to give me locations and directions. -That being said, you bypass one system to colonize one that’s sufficiently resource rich. -Underground cities begin creation on the homeworlds. These strange dwelling come from the demand of Sithil to live in shelters instead of in the dirt, as wealth is spread across the collective. Notable galactic events: -The Yith make a notable leap forward in technology this turn, inventing Siphning Ships, capable of withstanding extreme temperatures to enter into a star and siphon the resources found even at those stars’ cores. -The Terran unstable star goes Supernova. -We are coming.

Alright, knew this was going to happen but fuck it! Goodbye Hyperkin it was fun while it lasted. Good luck everyone else!
Well, that was terribly unexpected, but that was AMAZINGLY awesome.
