I think you ought to be more concerned with that Legendary Fluid they have. It might be Ancient Squid Semen, or it might be some super powerful element that nobody has heard of before.
Oh, look at that.
I lost my will to write the turn.
What a pity.
Way to go, Startoad.
You had to be fucking talking about squid semen
Oh 33 new posts, maybe turn is released
nope
;36047522']Oh, look at that.

This saddens me
It's not my fault. I didnt know he'd react badly to it. Maybe we'll get it today.
When you talk about squid semen how do you not expect anything to react badly.

Pssshhhh
Galaxy at War is discontinued. This was a difficult decision for me to make, but I just don't have the will to write for it anymore. While most of the players were fine and it was interesting, I don't feel that the game is worth continuing. My interest in it has run dry and I feel that most players' interest is minimal as well. With the time it takes me to write it and the work I have to put into it, it's no longer fun or interesting, and the results are never that great. It is for these reasons I am choosing to stop the game unless you folks can decide on someone else to GM for you. I'm sorry. Should this game choose not to continue and E&R also stops, I will start a new game just to keep FP RPs going, but unless that happens you won't be seeing me as GM any longer.
Well, I got Firefox42 to be GM, you all can thank me later. For now, try and get a handful of players to join, and try to get NPC races back in by contacting their original players, I guess.
What was the mystical squid fluid and the outsiders, just for curiosity's sake?

Goodnight sweet prince
Well, not exactly, I got Firefox42 to be GM. Send your turns to him, and I think to get some intrest back into GaW, get some of the NPC races filled in by their original players, or if Firefox permits it, let new players take up the NPC Races.

I don't know how I feel about Firefox being GM. I have no idea what his writing style is like.
Be sure to send in your turns to me guys. I can't promise a turn tomorrow but I'll see what I can do.
:(
So Firefox, when will the next turn be?
Maybe tomorrow. Everyone should forward their mails to him asap though.
Just as a quick FYI, the turn will begin being written in 40 minutes, which should mean it should be done two hours and fourty minutes from now.
How about that.

-Anti-thing cells are researched and developed. They have the ability to kill kill off any people infected by the Thing while causing no harm to the uninfected. The Terrans hastily begin mass production of it.
-Atleria and the entire planet are gassed with the anti-thing cells. Any Things not underground immediately die while the remaining few are trapped without any safe place left.
-The Nationalists' archives are hacked into. While unable to shut off the Tesla gun, they gain knowledge about the government building.
-Inside the government building, the x-com squad is unable to penetrate the door or walls. However, with plans for the building in their possession, they move through ventilation shafts and a few maintenance tunnels until they reach Atler. A battle insures, where 2 of the squad are killed but are ultimately victorious. May Atler rest in pieces.
-On the Vanduran fleet, the Terrans explain that they wish to be left alone, for at least a few years. Before leaving, they freeze and space the Admiral, buying them enough time to escape.
-Otto Reyulant's body is recovered and is sent back to HQ. He is put in cryo until a method of reviving him is devised
-All ships, especially the Early Light, are reinforced with a special unobtainium armor. The Early Light is upgraded to battleship class, armed with a MAC cannon and Gatling plasma turents, is renamed the Ancient Light, and is given command to Otto Reyulant supposing that he is revied.
-A mass anti-nationalist propaganda campaign is set in motion. With the nationalists all but defeated, this boosts stability somewhat.
-The government slowly but surely undergoes a change from a republic to a parliamentary monarchy. The people's rights stay the same causing little opposition.
- An early warning system is placed near Veran space.

-A stealth mode for ships and robots are developed. It has mixed results. While small things like robots can easily have their radar cross-section and heat emissions cloaked, fighters can only have them enabled for limited times before overheating, and larger ships cannot cloak their heat due to how much they produce.
-A few small colonies are set up left of squid space.
-They further attempt to learn about the squids and their culture. A fleet is stationed in squid systems to defend them. This also strengthens their relations.
-The region to the northeast is LADAR'd revealing a few systems suitable for colonies.
-El Fluido turns out to be Chronoton

-A new ship class, known as shards, are massive, needle shaped ships reinforced to survive orbital drops and carry colonies. The impact of one is able to expose nearby resources for easy extraction. Handy. Unfortunately, the first attempt fails resulting the death of all on board, but subsequent attempts go as planned.
-All exoskeletons are equipped with sonic weaponry. The short range of the weapon however, limits it's effectiveness.
-All colonies begin construction of their own factories, allowing for quicker production of goods.
-Another construction yard is built in orbit, along with an orbital factory.
-Two systems with an Earth-like world each are discovered, along with three other systems.

-The Grox upgrade their battleships to incude MAC cannons. These allow them to take on ships at greater ranges and end up tipping the scale in their favor.
-A joint attack on the Vandurans with the High Elves begins. Everything is going smoothly for now, with four outer systems taken by the end of the year.
-An alliance offer is sent to Aranos.
Notable galactic events:
-Anti-Thing cells are developed and are being deployed.
-The Verans slapped the Valentian's shit.
NEXT TURN IS TURN 19

Their sacrifice will (not) be remembered.
-Two systems with an Earth-like world each are discovered, along with three other systems.
So what kind of minerals are we talking here? Or will I have to start pinging the planets to see what I can uncover.

The Earth-like worlds have a general mis-mash of various resources, and in high supply. The other systems are full of mostly metals.
StarToad: Turn got posted,
StarToad: It's amazingly good.
DetectiveP (Best Germany): link me nigga

DetectiveP (Best Germany): lucky for you
StarToad: Yeah.
StarToad: The Thing is all but cured.
DetectiveP (Best Germany): whaoh
DetectiveP (Best Germany): whaoh whoh
DetectiveP (Best Germany): the fluid is tiberium?
DetectiveP (Best Germany): uh, no
DetectiveP (Best Germany): he can't do that (after note: you can do that)
DetectiveP (Best Germany): I gave him the resource map
DetectiveP (Best Germany): the fluid is chronoton
DetectiveP (Best Germany): I thought I told him that
DetectiveP (Best Germany): and there's no tiberium in that region
StarToad: Should remind him then
StarToad: He's editing it
StarToad: Give him a second
DetectiveP (Best Germany): oh wow
DetectiveP (Best Germany): the Verans got the Valentians
DetectiveP (Best Germany): I thought they were friendly
[REDACTED]
DetectiveP (Best Germany): I also find that kind of interesting
DetectiveP (Best Germany): the grox invasion
DetectiveP (Best Germany): I'm pretty sure he won't win that
DetectiveP (Best Germany): because his fleets are heavily outnumbered
StarToad: Yes, but Overpain will be doing expansion,
StarToad: To get more fleets,
StarToad: And sending them to their death/attacking of Vanduran systems
DetectiveP (Best Germany): Yea, but Overpain needs 6 systems per fleet
DetectiveP (Best Germany): so he's at a disadvantage
DetectiveP (Best Germany): plus, the darkened Vanduran systems
DetectiveP (Best Germany): are thing infected
DetectiveP (Best Germany): completely
DetectiveP (Best Germany): so it's like
DetectiveP (Best Germany): y'know
