You should do what I did Seed, keep a list of Capital ships and upward for the races, so they can't pull them out of their ass.
Sounds good to me. Capitol ships get names anyway. Can't wait to christen the "IVS Your Worst Nightmare" and the "IVS Going In Dry"
What are we defining as capital ships anyways?
The largest ship in your fleet? Not sure what you mean really capital ships are capital ships :v: Basically each capital ship designates a fleet I would think as the whole fleet would be based around that ship.
I mean if you look at things like Star Wars, a Star Destroyer was a capital ship. But you had ships that even dwarfed those. So will we have like, Super Capitals? Planetary Class?
Capitol Ships typically mean Dreadnoughts and Carriers. Supercapitals are typically larger meaner Dreadnoughts and SuperCarriers / Motherships.

He's got 12 players ATM. Not sure if he wants to take on more. You might have to wait until someone else quits.
No turn?
Seed no you promised ):

Firaxians V is a dense jungle planet teeming with life. The Firaxians are a warrior race that holds a clan structure. Their central government is a council of united clans, combinging 376 clans into one body, a monumental feat given that these clans were combatative for thousands of years. The clans united out of common interest, for their planet was struck by a foreign...something, determined not to be mere space debris, and causing a crater to form in the north. All Firaxians are raised with a regiment that molds them into effective warriors. Defected or weak child are often killed to cull out weak genes. A unbreakable code of honor binds the Firaxians into their social order. All Firaxian warriors receive the same set of armor when they reach maturity. They are encouraged to customize their armor as they see best. Things such as marriage and relationships between warriors are encouraged, as it only increases passion and ferocity in a warriors life. Things such as homosexual relationships are allowed as well, but are somewhat discouraged because it limits the amount of offspring for the next generation of warriors. With a population of only 2 billion, the scattered population live mostly in villages. There is only one major city, that of Hexala, where the council sits. The relatively low population is easy to maintain and exists without massive planetary exploitation. Much of the planet's jungles remain untouched by Firaxians. In celebration of the grand achievement of space striding, a new Ma'l, or leader of the council, is chosen, and a great feast is held in Hexala. The Firaxians begin production of an orbital shipyard, called the Firaxis Drive Yard. The intent is to provide mining ships to exploit nearby systems and their own planet. Further, they complete in one astounding bound a starfighter- swift, nimble, and fast to attack, the Torch MKI is proven to be an exceptional new asset. Mining of the nearby planets and systems is bringing in resources beyond the necessary. Among the notable finds is a strange green crystal that seems to be leeching the minerals of Firaxis III. Touching it causes it to spread to the flesh, making it hazardous to handle. This new material is dubbed "Tiberia". Orbiting just on the outside of the Firaxis star is another lush world, filled with different climates and a range of life. Firaxians would find this place right at home in its dense jungles. There is only one system within FTL range from Firaxis. Travellers discover that it hosts a gas giant and an icy planetoid, perhaps with breathable atmosphere. They also discover something interesting, though! In the dark, there is a planet, its surface blackened like charcoal, and cracked in half, creating a huge debris field. The exposed interior grants access to a wealth of heavy metals and various minerals. In its orbit is a peculiar ship of massive proportions, clearly wrecked and impacted, strewing its debris across the system. On board there is nothing but a strange frozen liquid splattered around at parts. The ship is researched more, and it is determined to be a small "planet cracker", likely intended to smash large sections of planets and planetoids in order to harvest their materials. Perhaps replication of the ship's design and further research could provide the same technology to the Firaxians. To discover more systems, it is recommend your settle in a newly discovered system or produce a naval fleet and station it at a system at the border of your FTL range. We simply depict what our priestesses have seen in visions, it is not our place to question Her guidance.") named Inara, who is seen as a goddess of balance- balance between life and death, and light and dark. The worship is seen as important for the race, and although they are not zealots and do not try to spread the religion, settlement within the Verandi systems requires worship. Their religion is non-restrictive aside from base morals such as no murder, rape, etc. There is no such thing as repression of sexuality or science. Science flourishes under this religion, and all sexualities are seen as equal. The Verandi home planet is known as Solusta Hazus, and is co-habited with a race of sentient netwroked androids known as the Vast'Halo. Previously a garden world, the planet and its species are afflicted with tiberia, which has leached the minerals and value out of much of the surface. When a massive comet impacted one of its two moons and shattered it, it caused massive damage to the surface and destroyed the existing ecosystems. After this event, most of Verandi civilization moved underground or tot he poles. The Vast'Halo are allied and co-existent with the Verandi. It is often the case that the two races work together hand-in-hand. Divisions of Verandi infantry are intermixed with Vast'Halo troops. The Vast'Halo come in a defined class system that divides their manufacture and role in the society. Exploration of the Verandi home system discovers two waterworlds in the far reaches. The only nearby system is found to be dull. To discover more systems, it is recommend your settle in a newly discovered system or produce a naval fleet and station it at a system at the border of your FTL range. They are descended from the Vulcans, you know, those Vulcans. Their home planet of Vulkha is heavily industrialized. It was settled by refugees of a city on the planet Vulcan that was destroyed by a meteor strike, ending much of the life in the city. The frequency of the strikes afterwards motivated the refugees to leave the planet. Upon settling Vuhlka, the Vulkanci reviewed their history and culture from Vulcan, and determined by new social contract that much of their old culture must be changed or forgotten. They abandoned their old gods and adopted a philosophy of apathy towards the universe. but at the same time, they stopped supressing their emotions. This time was known as the Early Age. By the time the Early Age ended, the planet was ruled by three kingdoms: Morava, Rus, and Enericija [which no one liked because it's difficult to spell]. This transitioned the planet into the Age of Monarchy. A state of war soon followed between the three, but peace came with the Vulkanski Renesanca- a renaissance that, based off the their colony ship, brought a new age of technology and inovation. The greatest re-discovery of the race was the manipulation of heat. Using this new technology, the kingdoms went to war further. The greatest war in their history occured, and two hundred years ago it ended when the Kingdom of Morava unified the planet by force. For those two hundred years, there has been peace. For now. Investment in defense is the first priority for the planetary government. Research occurs on biological weaponry. The economy, primarily industrial, relies heavily on mechanical labor by simple droids. Society is happy and healthy and unified. Within the home system, a water world is investigated. The only system within range is found to contain two type-III planets, that is to say- Earth-like. Initial investigation determines that they are teeming with life. It may be dangerous to land. To discover more systems, it is recommend your settle in a newly discovered system or produce a naval fleet and station it at a system at the border of your FTL range. Evolved from a predatory life, they eventually gained sentience and became the dominant species on their home planet by taking command of the bodies of other dominant species. Every Thiir is an individual, with sentience and tought, but their awareness of their surroundings is limited to that of the insects they are. They can communicate through a mental network, communicating mentally for upwards of a kilometer. Research is ongoing in order to created augments to boost this capability, to be utilized in space. When possessing a creature, the Thiir will attatch itself directly to the skull, with their various spiky parts attatching into the cranium and spine and their one big eye staring out from above the forehead. The species naturally contain chemicals that are paralytic to most species. The race is not outwardly hostile, although they have no problem taking control of species if it suits them. Like-minded and friendly species may be met with trade and commercial relationships. The race tends to live in collectives or villages, and the society isn't particularly advanced. The method of expansion is by administiring their weapons with larva, which are then impaled into a target, infecting them with the larva and possessing them. Their primitive spaceships are attempting to apply guns that fire flechettes laced with larva. At an individual level, their primary weaponry are pritive ballistics, javelins, and spears. Economically, the species trades mostly in terms of bodies to possess. With the discovery of surrounding systems, a grand feast is eaten in every major commmunity. B1, B2, and B3 are all lava worlds, and B5a is an iceworld. C is located within a small nebula, and by fortune contains a tropical waterworld filled with avian and aquatic life. One of its moons, C1a, seems to be a carbon planet, with a huge amount of diamonds just below the surface! E surrounds an ion star, and has two Type-IIIs, filled with new forms of life. Orbiting close to the dying star is a comet filled with helium-3 and other rare resources from far off, including uranium and gold. They have forged very little cities, and their race is very tight-knit. Warriorship is a traditional following, and hunter-gathering, while not necessary, is a popular past time. They make use of terrain-resistant war machines planetside. Though prideful and peaceful mostly, their society is based on masculinity and combat. Their culture is a strange mixture of primitive brutalism and industrial and mechanical advancement. A tournament is held to find the strongest among them, to be held as the leader of the Hyperkin as they spread abroad. The leader is announced as Viki, a strong male from the southern regions. The economy is forged to be built around actual currency rather than animal parts. Outwards from home, system B contains two harsh type-I lavaworlds, and also a stormy waterworld at B4. D3 and D4a are both waterworlds, the latter tropical with some landmass. Large squid-like creatures prowl the waters of the former. They normally maintain a bipedal and humanoid appearance as a cultural norm, though the only real limitation is their mass. Transformation or gain or loss of limbs is generally difficult, as the growth of new limbs requires training and re-establishment of muscle memory. Like with styles of any other species, fads come and go, and so the Syk'kar change their appearance based on the popular fads. More complex bodies, with multiple limbs or whatnot, push the mind to its limits. Syk'kar organs are very complex and variable, built to change and modify themselves and to produce more organs at will. As such, the Syk'kar are susceptible to bodily trauma, but can naturally live for centuries otherwise. Their civilization can be considered "liberal". Their homeworld is a sprawling metropolis, with rounded architecture. Outside of this metropolis, Syk'kar worlds are rural and low-density. A bond system is established to promote spacefaring. Exploration of systems discovers that A4 is also a Type-III. There is a small Type-III at D4. Of particular note is D5- which seems to be a planet made entirely out of diamond! It is not uncommon that they will form themselves to command multiple sex organs in their conquests for sexual interaction. The species has a light telepathic ability that indicates to them the sexual desires of others. Copulation slowly transforms a sexual partner into a Lust themselves. [Direct quote]"Warfare tactics usually consist of bypassing obstacles and getting to the target as soon as possible, before raping it." [Bleh] The Lust Home system is a hot tropical world with a moon that contains a peculiar superconductive, hyperdense metal under the surface, known as Unobtanium. They are all connected to a hivemind, though are also individuals. Throuh injection of their genetic material, they are capable of effecting other living things with the same affliction as them and changing their outward appearance and mental state to that of a Reaper. The consider themselves environmentally adaptive. Their home planet is heavily exploited and polluted, mined out and filled with nests of metal and plastic. At the center of the home planet sit the Golden Throne, where their leader lives. An order of space marines, like shock troops, is established. These shock troops are split into 12 different orders. The closest planets to Groll are a couple of type-IIIs. Near the star, there is a carbon planet, which contains a wealth of diamonds just below the surface. Their only nearby system contains a type-III and also a resource-rich comet, filled with heavy metals. Most social commands come through the hivemind. Social reforms open up- bi-racial marriages, drug legalization, trade, contact with other races, and expansion within space are the decisions made this year. Really, that's it. They live on a tropical waterworld with scarce arable land, driving conflict. Recently, a ten-year long war wiped out ten per cent of the population of the planet, or 50 million people. A world government was established to forever prevent conflict again. To the stars the people looked, sending robots and sensors, and eventually men. At home, aquatic megacities were built, making the best use of what little they had. The fourth planet in the system, A4, another waterworld, is already being colonised and having resources sent back home. With colonization on the mind, colonists are already sent outwards to neighboring systems. With the nearest system containing a planet with a mostly marsh biome, and a planet with a more arid climate, the latter is chosen for the first offworld colony. A small outpost for now, it is able to send back resources to the ailing homeworlds. Of note is C1, C1a, C2a, D1, E1, E2, F2, and F3 are all type-IIIs, and E2a is a waterworld. The Abs hit the jackpot- friendly, habitablr worlds are around every corner, and none of them seem to be habited by any other races than the local flora and fauna, though they are always dangerous to deal with. Your next turn will see FTL capabilities established on B3. To discover more systems, it is recommend your settle in a newly discovered system or produce a naval fleet and station it at a system at the border of your FTL range. Their primary surrogate to the universe is their vast android army. In the past, the upper class Ascendents used their massive robot armies, synthethized at first from organics, but later manufactured, to wipe out all other organic life on the planet in a massive civil war. This was known as the fall of the organics. The fall of the organics meant that resources such as water or fauna were no longer necessary. Gradually the oceans were drained and the forests cut down as ever expansive factories filled the landscape. With no need for entertainment or individual housing, all land throughout the planet is devoted toward productivity, with foundries, mines, and other industrial constructions covering the land. In place of normal condensation, dark clouds of chemical pollutants float over the smog-blanketed buildings. Despite the messy environment, the cities themselves are perfectly ordered, with everything arranged to be in the most effective and efficient position possible. Rising from the industrial mass is the Dome, an immense fortress where the Ascendents live. There is no outside access to the Dome, meaning that the interior remains highly mysterious. It is assumed that it contains the seat of government as well as any systems required to control the robotic population. As the planet is stripped bare of its resources, the Ascendents look to space as an opportunity to grow and develop, sending many robots out into the solar system to colonize more. The massive productivity of the Ascendents has paid off. With their first step into space, they have already achieved two things: they have researched and improved their FTL drives, allowing for farther travel which has revealed two additional systems beyond their original range. Further, they have established ships capable of mass-producing androids and preparing them for colonizing. Colonization is planned to be done by force, with the stripping of minerals and the draining of oceans and extermination of all living things. The mechnical nature of the Ascendent's andoirds means that only the harshest of conditions slow them. A policy is introduced to capture and send to the Dome a sample of every species enountered for study. In their home system, planets A2 and A3 are immediately stripped, while outside systems are probed with military drones. Sonic technology is experimented with, but with little funding or resources to allocate to the program it is not taken to completion and no results are retrieved yet. Colonization begins on all suitable worlds in system. Findings of local systems: B has only one rock planet. C is actually a black hole. D has a rocky asteroid field around an ion star, and D1 is a planet that has seemed to have been cracked in half, exposing its resource-rich interior. E contains 3 barren world ripe for resource extraction, as well as a comet with rare metals. F also has 5 barren worlds capable of being stripped. Primitive, yet advanced, the Wizians share their homeworld of Aries with a species of lesser-intelligent rockmen, who were enslaved during a period of global war between species. Most Wizian labor is done via rockmen slaves, who are capable laborers and touch warriors when needed. The Wizians have exploited their home planet and its formerly lush jungles to neear exhaustion, prompting their expansion into the stars and the exploitation of their own moon. The Wizians are warrior-like, smart, but short-sighted. They are eager to fight and care little of the wellbeing of other living things, only for their own race. Reaching out into the galaxy, they find two neighboring systems. The first of which, B, contains two dead and barren planetoids and two icy planets. The second, C, contains a world covered in jungle. The animal life there is obviously hostile, but it has no intelligent life that can be discerned. General Info There are some changes and clarifications to be made after writing the first turn. -All turns are going to be labeled "GaW-[race name]-Turn #" -Label next turn as Turn 2 -Systems should be counted from top to bottom, top being 1 and closest to the sun. Bottom being farthest. So the closest body will always be labeled as 1. Planet types also make sense in this setup- hot lava worlds will always be closer to the star, gas giants and cold bodies farthest, and earth-like in the center more. -The symbols on the planets mean: triangle- non-intelligent life; cross- intelligent non-spacefaring life; weird loppy- space-faring life -Building individual ships won't allow you to explore, only to settle in in-range areas and such. Combat will be done mostly with fleets. Researching and building different types of ships will increase your combat value. -Production is basically going to be done like research but without the 3-item-cap. If you're trying to research or produce something that isn't realistic or possible then you'll know why through the turn. This way, races with a heavy emphasis on production will still be capable of producing more and bigger than races that don't. -I dropped the marking of resources part-way through because it wasn't really necessary. For the most part all races are going to be capable of getting what resources they need and those rare ones will be spelled out in turns. -This is the new turn setup:
Fleet movements: Internal: External: Last turn's production: [copypaste what was being produced and the per cent from last turn] Production: Last Turn's Research: [copy paste what was being researched and the per cent from last turn] Research: Other:
-Be explicit on things, not implicit. Don't bury it under a mountain of text please, the clearer the better. Honestly what works best for me is a bulletpoint format followed by elaboration through comments or explanation. That allows me to know exactly what to look for and also gives me a greater understanding of your intentions. Please remember that you're writing for one race that you really are invested in, and I need to be able to take your investment and detail and transfer that in with 11 other players. The easier it is for me to quickly digest all you want, the quicker turns will be out and the more apt I'll be to spend longer on them. -Last thing- here is the method by which your luck is determined: 1. Your placement was either decided by random or by yourself. All systems were pre-mapped before players joined the game. All NPCs were pre-mapped. 2. System contents are chosen by RNG. -I roll 1-100 for if the system is atypical. >90 means it's atypical, and I decide from there how. -I roll 1-100 for if the system will contain an atypical planet/body. >90 means yes. I decide from there what kind. -I roll 1-8 to determine how many bodies there will be in total in that system. -I roll 1-12 to determine what types each body is. 2/12 chance that it is lava, 4/12 barren, 2/12 earth-like, 2/12 gas giant, 1/12 waterworld, 1/12 iceworld.
For fleet movement do we just say North, South, etc. from our current territories or do we specify from a certain system?
