[QUOTE=Loriborn;28843591]Which plugins are the one not working?
[editline]27th March 2011[/editline]
Also, go to the wiki and post the rules I posted in the rules section. They go into much more detail regarding these issues. Your rules are very vague, and all of the ones I have match the ones you already posted. They are also spelled properly.

I fixed the last part about loriborn only making story elements.
That is fine.
[editline]27th March 2011[/editline]
I would suggest to players though, to try and get a skin that is medievally in nature, or that is one you can write a story behind, as Black1ce is doing on his page.
I have an epic story going :v:
It is pretty good, gives some leeway into possible quests as well.
Any word on when server's back?
No idea.
Dragory is away, and plugins won't work.
I miss the old server :/

Why you keep putting your rules everywhere, rules haven't been even aproved yet.

The original server only did well in the beginning, and then everyone went downhill. You are putting the old server on a pedestal because you have nothing else to compare it to. And my rules are desired by all of the admins, and most of the players.
When I get some time after my maths, alegbras, or whatevers, I'll work on an overall story for the entire server, including some baddies and background for ruins and dungeons, as well as hidden treasures and ruins.
Whatever happened to Osku's throne, anyways?
You admins get your stuff sorted, I sense some chaos going on.

I'm liking the rules as well. They seem good, and I'm pretty sure they are balanced. I advise we can go with those as a base, and change accordingly.

There's always been tension between the admins, especially be and Loriborn. I think that's sorted out for the most part, however.

I find these rules much better aswell, before them it was just another SMP server with a touch of RP, now it's going hardcore (sort of) which I'm 100% supporting. specially the 'one town' as a way to begin and have an active place with all the players.
I can't wait to make dungeons and such... I'll make three kinds:
Event dungeons, which is something I block off until I tell the head of the Treasure Hunters' Guild, where they will lead their guild mates over to it to raid it and loot it. There will be lots of traps, as well as bosses (Me or deadchicken with the /nick function)
Random Dungeons, which are meant to be stumbled upon. Much like the former, but with less loot and no supervision/bosses.
Hidden Treasure, which is a dungeon/ruin/temple with a bit of treasure, but usually minimal trappage. There would likely be at the most one diamond in one of these, or just a few apples. It's not going to be anything other than a reason to explore around. I could place these in caves, mountainsides, or anywhere, really.
Did minor edits to the rules.
What we need is a scheme of MMO dungeons AKA :
like WoW's one - fight off mobs and reach boss
or DND's one - solve puzzles and reach boss
[editline]27th March 2011[/editline]
This shit will be so cash.
I like puzzles more.

I believe most of the bickering is done. And I did try to get the rules in a more RP attitude.
Well then all my suggestions have been taken into regards - I'm done spamming here, hopefully the server will be up soon.
Waiting Dragory to come online.

I think that I'll design the dungeons for the most part, and they will be something along the lines of:
1: Explore the area of the ruins for small treasures scattered around the general area.
2: Find the entrance to the main dungeon, which will almost always be underground.
3: Follow the liner path for an easy way to get to the boss at the end, or stray off the path and solve puzzles to get more. There will be periodic monster spawners which must be disabled with torches. (I may actually turn invisible and remove some of the torches for a attack from behind just for kicks, if the group is getting through quickly.)
4: Fight boss at the end, which is protecting a chest of items.
There will be some that are more puzzle oriented, but for the most part, they will be killing a lot of mobs and getting to the end. Deadchicken will make the puzzles anyways, he's great at that redstone and logic.
Also, just to let you know, I always am holding 2 bones and 2 uncooked pork when a boss to add a more realistic body :3:

Each of them has a theme, like stealth or brute force. In some of them I will be the boss, sneaking around a large room, and teleporting to terraces and such, shooting arrows. People will have to think quickly and ahead of me to kill me.
In another, I will be in full diamond holding a diamond axe, running full force or using /antioch.
Some may rely on me using arrow dispensers, and others could be a chase down a maze.
I have lots of awesome ideas as well, some of which I think are genius, but cannot disclose.
All well and good I think, just make sure that the dungeons are well done. For instance, flattened ground and such to make sure they stay on the right road. Adding some other paths with traps will add some excitement.
So, we've finished the backstory behind my awesome Creeper skin. We just need someone who will be willing to use a different skin and then change back because I just realized I lost my creeper skin save, so I need someone else here.

Yeah, the one that we created for the first one was pretty rough and rushed. We never actually got the monster spawners set up, and the castle battle was complete impromptu.
Also, I'm currently setting up some lore in the wiki on and off while doing my homework.
So, what do we do while we wait?

Again, it has a lot of potential, so I can't wait to see what will be done with a lot more time and resources.
Suggest skins, talk about our characters story, plans for houses etc?
[QUOTE=MoarFunz;28845752]Suggest skins, talk about our characters story, plans for houses etc?[/QUOTE]
Yes, skins, character backstories are some of the most important things.
Also Lori, talk to Osku and Dragory or w/e so you'll be able to spawn mobs inside dungeons.
Chezhead and Deadchicken run the dungeons, they are in charge of that. I set up raids with the Treasure Hunter guild and help give ideas and lore relevant to the dungeons.
So, who's gonna lead the first colony?
No one most likely, as it will be community efforts. Admins are not allowed to lead towns or factions, so that will most likely be up to you all to decide. Democracy works the best.
[editline]27th March 2011[/editline]
Admins will help guide the setting up of the first two towns (location, construction) but all as normal players.
Also, work on stripping down the wiki if you haven't already, it'll be new locations and such now.
