Also, work on stripping down the wiki if you haven't already, it'll be new locations and such now.
Stripped down wiki of everything besides the admins. Added the new rules, and Chez is adding some lore.
We will open this server tomorrow.
I wanna play
What time? You live in Finland, we don't all live in Finland.
The server will be online in about 12 hours.
Yay! That's 5:24 AM for me! Cannot wait!
I'll likely be planning dungeons in SP mode.
• You may not Teleport out of an RP situation. (theft, murder, marriage)
If only it was that easy...
Admins ARE allowed to lead towns and cities (except loremasters) if they want, because admins are just normal people in rp.
The first cities should get free road built by admins at the beginging.

Hmm, i will set up a feudal council to my city.
Good night everybody, I'll catch you up tomorrow evening ~8PM +2GMT.

Also, what I aim to achieve

I'm looking forward to this, actually. I'll be the god, with Deadchicken, lurking in the shadows, creating the story and dungeons, as well as the events, making the world interesting. It's so much more fun than starting a shadow organization.
New server tomorrow guys, most of the plugins are working, but a few vital changes need to be made, and then put on the server, should be with you tomorrow!
In the meantime, I'll be writing a detailed, new OP for a new thread to go with our new Identity and Server.

I'm presuming you will primarily be a Loremaster, right?
Actually, not entirely, I have this awesome persona that I've dreamt up and I'll introduce him tomorrow...
I shall be known as DC, the mad scientist who lives up the hill.

Well, could it be a part-time job? I don't want to be the only loremaster, and I'm horrible at redstone.
12 hours? That's when I'm at school, you sneaky bastard :argh:
As long as Admins keep the restrictions given to us, I am fine with these changes.
Just read the loremasters thing, I could potentially become part of that as an informational person for a quest.
I do believe all admins are going to be Loremasters at some point or another, it is just, Chez will JUST be a loremaster.
I do believe all admins are going to be Loremasters at some point or another, it is just, Chez will JUST be a loremaster.
I would generally be the head for a couple reasons:
1: Lore would be the only job I would do, and would be pretty easy for three or so people. Keeping it within all the admins could be hectic.
2: I have no bias with the faction, so I wouldn't rig anything to be good for any certain faction, but evenly disperse it.
3: I'm pretty good at it. I've created dungeons and arenas in the past, as well as being pretty good with story.
4: Loriborn is the head of the Dungeon Exploring and Looting Guild, or whatever it's called, and knowing what was going on with that stuff would result in an easy way around it. Besides, it would be fun to have everything new, right?
I mean, everyone could be, in a way, but not as efficient. I see lots of personal faction matters getting in the way, and with an umbias leader or person that generally does it, I can surprise other factions and their leaders.
So if admins are able to lead Major Nations, (though not allowed to use their powers for good or evil) I suggest an Admin lead both Major Nations, so that RP can be done well, with random events organized well beforehand, but not alerting the peasants to it.
[editline]27th March 2011[/editline]
I personally nominate myself for the role of leader of one of the Nations, I don't believe anyone should have an issue with it. The second nation can be decided when a second nation is built.

I think it would be nice to have an admin lead the two major ones at first to get it off to a good start.

That was my thought too, and since at first there will be only one faction, I will lead that for a while. Mostly because Dragory is never online, you, Deadchicken, and Osku will be busy with Loremaster crap, and Black1ce isn't on as often (or leader material).
I think you'll find Oskutin will be leading the first expedition to found the first town... He mentioned that to me.
Meanwhile, do I post the new thread as soon as it's ready? so we can get this thread locked and outta the way? or wait...?
Osku and his desire for too much power... Gonna turn out bad, I'm telling ya'll....
Anywho, yea, close this thread, start another with the extended rules list, no map, such like that.
Personally I believe there is nothing wrong with Osku and I both leading the town, as long as he doesn't abuse /give or order the people to do stupid stuff, like build houses that nobody lives in. He has a thing about not knowing how towns grow. But yea, we live on opposite sides of Earth, so it would be good for making sure the town had direction almost 24/7

Why do you keep wanting to ruin the game by having admins abuse /give? Just let them do it themselves.

The only time I think an admin or anyone should use give is for fixing glitches or rule-breakers, or event things like dungeons and such.
The only time I think an admin or anyone should use give is for fixing glitches or rule-breakers, or event things like dungeons and such.
Exactly.
I do not even see the point of "free roads" besides forcing the people to build around them. Osku does like restricting the people to his idea of the perfect town, eh? Leave the people to their business, it's more fun that way.
I can't wait until after school! LORE! EXCITEMENT! DUNGEONS!
What is the pack used in the Banner screenshot?
Do we have to belong to a town or faction?
Cause I just wanna develop my own little estate by the sea or on top of a mountain while keeping contact with the various people on the server.
Unfortunately, to begin with, we'll require players to live in and around the towns in order to prevent the map and players becoming too dispersed, as this has caused problems up to now.
We'll be attempting the new rules to begin with, and develop them as the server does the same.
