-The first Nobel Peace Prizes are given out to Jean Henri Dunant and Frederic Passy.
-Marconi receives 1st transatlantic radio signal, England to US.
-The Serb-Ottoman Agreement takes place. It gives Bulgaria and Macedonia independence while ceding territory to Serbia, Greece, and Montenegro.

-A portion of the government is dedicated to discovering corruption in the government. Another sector is dedicated to military development.
-China agrees to Russia's non-aggression pact.
-Taxes are raised slightly across China. Not many people agree with this decision but there isn't any serious anger.
-Infrastructural improvements continue.
-Propaganda continues.
-Education re-structuring occurs to make education more efficient in China.

-Arabia officially declares war on the Ottoman Empire following an advancement in Ottoman aggression. A bloody battle takes place at Tabuk in which 3,155 Ottoman soldiers are killed and 5,681 Arabian soldiers are killed. A total of 46,607 casualties occur on both sides in the battle. To date the Ottomans have lost 9,000+ people and the Arabians have lost 13,000+. The Ottomans are currently winning but at a price.
-Military units are pulled from the Balkans to support the war effort.
-Construction of a new battleship "Mohammed" begins. This oil-driven war-ship boasts 3 5" guns, and hundreds of fighting men on board. It is scheduled to be finished by the beginning of next year.
-A major diplomatic deal has been made named the Serb-Ottoman Agreement. It gives Bulgaria and Macedonia independence while ceding territory to Serbia, Greece, and Montenegro.
-Serbia and the Ottoman Empire enter an alliance.

-The army is fully supplied with Serbia's newest weapons at this point and is being trained with them now.
-King Aleksandar Obrenović of Serbia and Princess Alexandra zu Shaumburg-Lippe of Germany are seen together at a diplomatic event. The reason is unknown but it is thought that there may be some romance. Or something...
-The Serb-Ottoman Agreement takes place.
-Non-aggression pacts are signed with Macedonia and Bulgaria.
-Alliances are made with Bulgaria, Romania, and Greece.
-A new currency is made named the Balkan tolar. It is exclusive to Balkan nations.

-The fishing industry of the Baltic and Pacific expands.

-Radicals in Portugal and Spain begin talking of a possible Iberian unification. For the time being most people see this as a ridiculously unlikely situation.

-Research is conducted on a new semi-automatic rifle.
-The massive military expenditure is beginning to be a large strain on the nation.
-The Rhineland is heavily utilized for agriculture and industry. This helps to improve the economy somewhat.
-Oldenburg is industrialized heavily.
-Funding is placed in the study of the Human anatomy.
-Austria-Hungary accepts a trade agreement with Germany as well as an alliance.
-Britain and Germany begin trading.
-Diplomatic relations improve with Italy. France still is unfriendly with Germany.
-Infrastructure improvements occur.
-Educational standards are increasing due to government funding.
-Education is made mandatory.
-Minor border skirmishes occur with France as a result of raised tensions due to France's invasion of Belgium.

-Trade begins with Germany.
-Infrastructural improvements occur in India and Africa.
-Large roads are built to make transportation of troops easier. It is widely thought that this is a total waste of money.
-Telephone lines are layed down across Britain.
-Support of the British crown increases markedly.

-The Italians are asked to help. They decline quite forcefully.
-Taxes are increased. This angers just about everyone.
-The justification of the war is that France is simply liberating the Frenchmen of Belgium. Nobody really believes this though.
