At 9:30 the addition of cities will end and we'll have to vote on which three to keep. Pyongyang, Sydney, Madrid, Frankfurt, Berlin, Moscow, Lisbon, Cairo.
Major cities to be voted for (you may enter one into the ballot) Pyongyang, Sydney, Madrid, Frankfurt, Berlin, Moscow, Beijing, and Lisbon.
Er, take Frankfurt off that there list. I will nominate Vancouver, though.
Okay. Pyongyang, Sydney, Madrid, Berlin, Moscow, Beijing, Lisbon, and Cairo. I'm sick of typing these cities out. :v: [editline]7th February 2012[/editline] Oh yeah, no cities in North America or Central America (Mexico) for the time being due to the volatility of that region.
Oh yeah, no cities in North America or Central America (Mexico) for the time being due to the volatility of that region.
But that's what makes it fun! Frontline city, what fun!
Vienna wants a FIFA... we will brew the finest beer. Much better than that over rated crap from the Germans.
I suppose it's also time to start voting for the next FIFA location too. Not Paris or London.
Toronto! [editline]7th February 2012[/editline]
Oh yeah, no cities in North America or Central America (Mexico) for the time being due to the volatility of that region.
Hell with that. No war in Canada for a while. Not while I'm fixing shit. FIFA is just what we need.
Hell with that. No war in Canada for a while. Not while I'm fixing shit. FIFA is just what we need.
It'll be like 1976, in Eurovision. Some team is going to make a goal and the Canadian Revolution will start, or Mexico/America will enact their invasion plan or something.
No they won't. Give Canada a fair vote in the FIFA location! I nominate the capitol city of Canada, Toronto.
Okay, Toronto, Vienna, Pyongyang, Sydney, Madrid, Berlin, Moscow, Beijing, Lisbon, and Cairo. Let the voting begin. I vote for Vienna, Berlin, and Sydney.
Berlin, Toronto, Madrid.
Cairo, Berlin, Sydney
The winner is Vienna. I withdrew Berlin and Toronto because of the issues surrounding them. Canada being in the middle of repairing it's economy and Germany because of the strong anti-communism among the civilians. [editline]7th February 2012[/editline] This coming event is London. The one after it is Vienna.
I'm sure I'm late as fuck, but have you guys heard of Victoria II? It's a lot like this, except it is an actual game. You should start up a multiplayer game sometime!
Yeah, the world map Empire & Revolutions has is even the same one that's used for Vicky2's.

It will end like Supremacy 1914 did.
I would do that, but I don't own it.
Buy it, with it's expansion of course. It's really fun if you can get buy a few annoying little niggles. You have to maintain a constant vigilance over your countries in your sphere of influence or else someone might add them to their sphere. But the battle system was quite nice. It has a simple command structure but there's still a lot of depth and complexity. Everything from terrain to your generals to the organization of the troops, it all factors in. You can even cut off supply routes for troops to the loose their supplies, making your inferior forces more powerful. Just go out and get it. (It also has the best tutorials out of all the Paradox interactive games.)
I never actually liked Vicky2 and EU3's battle systems, mainly because of the dreadful and often unfair diceroll the both of them has. If both games had used the same mechanics that Hearts of Iron 3 did, or heck even removed the diceroll feature altogether then battles would actually be more decisive, but personally I think the combat systems are rather flawed when you compare it to HoI3's complexity of combat. [editline]7th February 2012[/editline] I like the idea of us doing a MP game though. We ought to arrange the time and schedule to do it if we have enough people to do it.
Vicky 2 is a pretty neat game, in many many regards it has improved over the predecessor but it still has some issues that need fixed. For example Chile was a dictatorship with no social or political reforms under a reactionary party giving residency rights, yet in the course of 50 years 3 million people immigrated there and made it nearly as powerful as the USA.
Wait, wait! FIFA? Soccer world cup!? Can i play with my lemurs?
Wait, wait! FIFA? Soccer world cup!? Can i play with my lemurs?
Quick question. Are you just playing that you have an insane dictator running "Potato Land" or are you actually insane? :v:
