I used to live in Chicago. In the dead of winter with a foot or more of snow on the ground and a windchill of -15 I'd walk outside in shorts and a t-shirt without any shoes or socks or mittens or gloves or scarf or hat and walk through at least 30-50 feet of snow to get the mail or do my laundry.
