$5 to play on a minecraft server pfffft ahahahaha

This looked like a promising server, then I scrolled to see the P2P aspect. No server, on ANY game should make users PAY for basic things like chatting with the game's chatbox.

Donation perks just seems silly to me period. If people like your server enough, they'll donate to it if they can. If you have to bribe them, it just doesn't feel authentic.

My day job is a systems admin. I did a netstat while it was being hit, it took forever to get through via SSH but eventually I was able to run netstat once. In that time, the IP I saw most was the one I posted. There were probably 100s of connections in netstat, that was just the one that stook out to me the most. For about 2 hours yesterday, guests were unable to chat due to a config problem. At the time, only people who were WHITELISTED BUILDERS could chat. Only about 10% of the whitelisted builders have donated. So no, they didn't have to pay to chat and it was soon fixed. It'd be retarded if you were having to pay to chat. If so, what is it, because I see nothing that makes me different from the other servers on Facepunch that also encourage donations?

Honestly, I want to hate this because of the pricing scheme, but it does look kind of cool. Reminds me of Runescape a LOT, especially the whole "tutorial island" thing and the arenas. An RPG-style leveling mod would be perfect here. However, I just can't justify spending money to play on a Minecraft server. Don't get me started on the "you don't have to pay" deal, because you have LWC set to the $10/month tier. I will not play on a server without proper chest locking.

It honestly doesn't take more than a few hours to earn enough to buy a chest house. Anything more than those 3 chests though does require a donation. Like I said, the donation is just that..a donation. The features it provides don't really even add to the experience. They're just minor perks.

Just leave the guy alone guys, Jesus. If you don't want to play on his server for whatever reason just don't post here. You're bumping his thread up every time you make a post about it. Let the more active and fun servers overtake his thread if they're better.
