Taking a break from the railway and EPIC SPELUNKING in order to allow me more time to work on the mob tower. Might even work better than expected, it already spawned 2 creepers when I herp'd the derp and forgot to place torches on a newly finished floor. Gonna try to get the killing floor made before I proceed with the next spawning floor, so far the plan is to flow mobs through the primary canals which drops them into a secondary canal with cactus on the end to kill spiders, then the other critters fall through a 1x2 hole which will eventually take them to the next grinder, possibly a drowner/lava blade, I haven't decided yet.
As for the spawning floors they're all going to be the same layout so anyone who feels like adding another floor can do so without mucking everything up. Hooray for modularityofuck I'm going to bed now.

I'm beginning to think that NVG is a lost cause. JWJ just won't update the banner on the chat thread so we don't have any more people coming in. Plus the original city is just too must more popular than the new one. and since there are assloads of creepers everywhere, we're too scared of building large structures that take a lot of effort to make.

JWJ doesnt even have the VG banner in the OP, New VG is our survival counterpart, so long as our community members want survival it will still be useful, Also VG is Back up!

I upgraded the server to Iron Tier, I suspect the problem might have been lack of memory so hopefully this helps a [I]little[/I] bit.
A note to all citizens of New Ventlegille:
It is now prohibited to plant trees in populated areas unless you provide illumination on top of the trees. Earlier today I walked to my house to get supplies and saw several tall trees around the compound, on top of which spawned creepers.
Un-lit trees are a public safety hazard!

Whitelist
Essentials
BMobs (the plugin that keeps our mines clear of those damned slimes)
DynMap
...That's it. BigBrother kinda-sorta half-assed works in that it knows how not to recognize its own commands. (and yes, I updated it)
Also trying to get MCTelnet to work but no matter what I do it won't accept my login info, such a pain.

BigBrother works again, so the server's back up.
I was thinking of compiling a "VG pack" a recommended texture pack so we could all see structures the same way, I was thinking it would be a mixture of bits and pieces from all of our favorite packs, thoughts?
I like the 32x32 gerudoku pack. It's got some pretty blocks and items, and I like the paintings as well.
