The server's shut down while I update some plugins. It'll be back after that but the lighthouse, trainstation and mob tower still need ALOT of cleaning up.
So, bit of an update with New Ventlegille: We may be moving soon.
With the recent hoopla concerning Brohoster and their rapidly dwindling support quality, we may make the move to JWJ's service "LethalDrive" when it comes online.
Other than that, not much to report, things are pretty quiet.

Great question you fine looking specimen, The Ventle Pit Project is an attempt by Inacio and myself to design a server based around what Facepunch wants! We're going to try to use our previous server admining expertise along with contribution and ideas form Facepunch members in order to make the server that the people will want. Sounds like a great idea right? One problem:

Well thats simple you dashing rogue! We need two things from Facepunch:
[b]1:[/b] We need ideas! What do [b]you[/b] want to see in a MC server? Would you like a whitelist? Should it be creative, survival, or something completely different? What plugins would you like?
[b]2:[/b] We need some donations. With Brohoster going down the tubes servers aren't as cheap. We need a little dosh from the people of facepunch in order to get this project together. Even the smallest donation works!

Because you'll get the benefit of always having a good server to go to, populated by the good people of Facepunch and managed by two people who have admined for some of the best Facepunch-Minecraft servers, and of course we'll come up with some goodies for donators.

So long as you have a Facepunch account we'll whitelist you. Just dont be a dick and keep any controversial stuff off the server.

I am sad to announce that New Ventlegille will be offline until further notice. I am currently waiting for JWJ to launch his new service so I can jump ship and make the move to host it there. The map will be the same, but some progress may have been lost since the last back-up which was a few days ago.

Well, there's good news and bad news.
The good news is New Ventlegille's LethalDrive server is pretty much operational. Hooray!
The bad news is, it's been a while since I've dealt with anything server-wise, and most if not all the plugins I used on the old server (Permissions, BigBrother, Lockette, etc) have either changed drastically in their usage or are not updated for the current version of bukkit.
However! I don't want this to ruin the fun now, so to celebrate New Ventlegille's re-activation, I'd like to see what these servers can do. I'm going to go ahead and boot up the server with the old map, and just let 'er rip.
No plugins, no moderation until I can find suitable plugins. Just go hog-wild! Build cannons and shit! Rape the water! Burn the women! Poison the churches!
Will post the IP once the world is transferred.
