SCP Minecraft thread - Who keeps putting sugar cane in my office?!

Early warning: I'm going to have to reset everyone's userdata.
This means you'll spawn as a D-Class the first time you connect, without your inventory or nickname (Dr_Whatever etc).
Don't worry - we'll re-promote everyone and you don't have an inventory in creative so that's fine, but I just thought I'd warn you.
I'll post exactly how the new access system works when I've finished setting it up and discussed it with Cheeseman a bit.
And yes, I [B]HAVE[/B] got BookWorm, VoxelSniper and LogBlock ready to be uploaded with this config update. Stop fretting.
[editline]25th October 2011[/editline]
And when I stop the server to install this stuff, I'll upload a copy of the map for those that want it. :)
Jukeboxes are cook.
I tried to join: 'The Ban Hammer has spoken'
What?
I've been banned. d'aww.
Why is spawn covered in snow and ice? I unbanned Waffles because nobody seemed to have any idea why he was banned or who banned him. If there's a good reason, it makes sense, but if there isn't, there's no reason to ban him again.

Where will the world be available for DL?
Since the server is down, I've been going through screenshots. It appears that the Site has sprung a leak:

Lex, any idea when the server will be back up?
Odd, the server wasn't down. I connected fine. It's definitely down now though.
Doing updates n tings~

Holy fuck what have you lot been up to?! This world is 90MB!
Is the Smurfer Up
Not yet.
[[url=http://lexi.org.uk/files/scp-stuff/world-26-10-11.7z]here[/url]] is the world for those that wanted it.
D'aww.
Server should be up now.

The rank info I promised, in mild gibbering towards the end.

[tab]Delta[/tab] Canonically these are criminals forced to work for the foundation.
[tab]-[/tab] On the server, it's the basic class everyone starts out as. You get very few commands and can't build anything. This is to prevent griefers and a repeat of the Cake incident.
[tab]Level 0[/tab] People with no SCP based access, such as chefs, janators or contracted builders.
[tab]-[/tab] On the server this lets you build and gives you basic commands. You don't get an office, but I'm sure a common room can be arranged.
[tab]Level 1[/tab] People with basic SCP access, such as lab technicians or research assistants.
[tab]-[/tab] On the server it gives you everything L0 people get, but also access to the mail system, private messaging and limited teleportation. You may build a small office.
[tab]Level 2[/tab] People with slightly higher SCP access, such as normal researchers or junior agents.
[tab]-[/tab] On the server this gives you a few more teleport commands and the ability to change your own nickname as it suits you.
[tab]Level 3[/tab] People with access to nearly all SCPs, such as agents, doctors and so on. Maintenence staff such as mechanics also fall into this category.
[tab]-[/tab] On the server it gives you general teleportation commands and basic moderation powers. (Also a big office!)
[tab]Level 4[/tab] Senior staff and engineers involved with important and/or secret building tasks.
[tab]-[/tab] On the server this counts as op, so look after the server kthx.
[tab]Level 5[/tab] Big bosess.
[tab]-[/tab] Basically superop, can /promote and /demote people, ungrief with logblock and protect shit with worldguard.
[tab]Overseer-5[/tab] Level 5 with a hat on.

I apologise for petering off but it's 3AM and my mind is melting. I'll sort it out tomorrow.
I also plan to standardise the various nicks people have etc, I'll post the guidelines tomorrow or maybe someone else can do that.
looking GOOD
also, who here is okay with the idea of me requesting to have this thread closed and a new one made, because the OP just pissed off for no reason and we've already had two people ask for the IP because he hasn't updated the OP (despite me PMing him).

Make sure to include the link to the new thread in a post in here, if you do.
Also, I know our levels were reset, but do we get the levels that were previously assigned to us? I was a Level 3 doctor.
I'm still a L4 Dr.
I have no problems with people using my Gay-O-Vator, but due to the delicate timing required for the two sets of pistons, repeatedly pushing the button will break it. It's not hard to fix, but until I fix it it remains inoperable. Remember: push the button, get on the elevator. If you miss the elevator the first time, wait till the cycle is completed, and then wait a few seconds after that before pushing it again.
This might not be a problem shortly. I think I have a solution.
The site's library is filling up with masterful pieces of prose such as Lex's now, thank heavens.
Okay first, we need a class for player SCPs, like myself. Second, we need to do a mass Ranking up, Im seeing some D researchers here.
Reading "tits" by Lex has changed my life.
Ice Cream Sandwich, Larpingham, Jimmy and 682, and A Love Poem are the founders of the book nation.

By 682 do you mean the children's book about the lizard?
Also, if anyone is interested, this is how the underwater site will look once I can add mycelium:

Finished testing on the typo-inducing machine. I'm not english so don't blame me for the bad grammar.

Title: Effects of Typio on a subject (Val, 27 Oct 2011)
SCP studied: 'Typio', SCP-006
Subject: Agent Pellaes (volunteer). Subject is a native english speaker
Subject was instructed to enter the containment chamber and was asked simple questions. Subject's responses became more incomprehensible as he passed more time the containment chamber. Subject reported hearing voices instructing him to 'Exist the riom' whet I asked him to exit the containment chamber. Subject said the voice was mine (Researcher Val) but 'slightly higher-pitched'. When subject left the containment chamber, he was asked basic questions about the SCP. Those questions were answered in an inteligible but sometime with wrong spelling or grammar. Subject then moved outside of containment area and asked more questions which were answered in correct english.
Research findings: This SCP seems to be active in a 100 m range regardless of walls and protections. Spelling and grammar errors worsened as the subject spent more time inside the containment area and closer.

Does it effect pieces of literature written before being moved into the area of effect? What about languages, all of them or just English?
We could assemble a rather extensive level of testing for this one.
Pell has been promoted to our first command agent~
Did the server just crash? Agent Nabby was about to retrieve an SCP located in some ancient ruins.
More SCP-006 testing! [url=http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1131259?p=32996469&viewfull=1#post32996469]Previous test[/url]

Title: Effects of Typio on a subject speaking non-english languages (Val, 28 Oct 2011)
SCP studied: 'Typio', SCP-006
Subject: D-Mogan (volunteer). Subject has done 2 months of 'Spanish 1'
The same procedure as the previous testing was done. Questions (like "what is the color of the sky?") were asked in english and subject was instructed to answer in Spanish. Subject's answers were difficult to understand because SCP-006's effect and became more intelligible as subject moved away from containment cell.
Research findings: SCP-006 seems to affect foreign languages

More CP-006 testing! [url=http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1131259?p=32996469&viewfull=1#post32996469]Pervious test[/url][/QUOTE]
Perhaps the difficulty of understanding the subject's answers was compounded by the subject's minimal ability to speak Spanish.
I am unable to change my gamemode despite having Level 5 permission on the server. Pellaes, who is Level 4, had to change it for me when we were testing [REDACTED].
If someone with server config access could fix that for me, it'd be much appreciated.
