I'm considering getting in since Zambies' Middle Eastern thing isn't panning out. Is Ukraine still open?

As far as I know, yes.
Come on people. I've only got one turn in so far.
Come on people. I've only got one turn in so far.
considering it's been handed over to 3 different people it shouldn't be that surprising

I've had far more success running these games than Lurker and Panzer (nothing against either). I've been around for quite some time. My only problem has been eventually getting worn down by the combination of IRL work and this.
I don't have much IRL work now that I'm done with college ball.

-Attempts to sell outdated arms don't go terribly well although some African tribes gladly take them. New weapons are bought at a considerable price.
-Zimbabwe is threatened with invasion if they don't embrace the sweet arms of democracy. Quote: "We'll free the shit out of you" Zimbabwe reacts dismissively.
-Tax breaks and subsidies are are given to research groups interested in developing advanced technology for South Africa. This helps fund important research projects in South Africa.
-The minimum wage of the primary sector is raised much to the chagrin of oil companies across South Africa.
-The minimum wage of the tertiary sector is decreased. The employees of many companies become overwhelmed with rage and begin protesting. RESEARCH AND MORALE HAVE LOWERED TEMPORARILY.
-A policy of zero tolerance towards rape is enacted. Those that are found guilty of rape are automatically sentenced by death and set on display in the streets. Some civilians are revolted by this policy, other agree with it but wish it was more out of sight. The international community is outraged.

-A pull out is beginning in Mali. For the time being towns are still being secured but the troop count is beginning to diminish. This is viewed favorably in France.
-You're already trading with everyone in Europe. The European Union has ensured that.
-Joint training excercises commence with Germany. This allows a greater ability for cohesion in the case of a war effort where the two nations work together. It also increases military morale and strength.
-Gay marriage is legalized. Half of the nation is as joyful as can be. The other half is equally as angry and they are making themselves known with loud protests. Civilian morale dips a bit in the face of such protesting.
-Marijuana is legalized entirely. It is now sold at most pharmaceutical stores. This increases civilian morale somewhat as well as somewhat helping the economy.

-Not much occurs in the military sector of the nation. A few major drills here or there but nothing out of the ordinary.
-A military alliance is formed with the Czech Republic. For what reason remains unknown.
-An absurd demand for control of all carpets and rugs in Eastern Europe is made. Everyone laughs at Poland.
-Nothing much happens economically.
-A man spills coffee on a rug on the newly created National Carpet and Rug Appreciation Day. He is shot and killed by a crazed carpet fanatic.

-A general enquiry of the readiness state of the Ukrainian Air Force is sent out. It is a rather weak air force with only 247 craft. It employs the use of the outdated Su-27 and MiG-29. Fortunately most of them are ready for usage at the moment. Funding is increased to ensure the aircraft stay in proper shape. Not that it is really necessary, those jets are incredibly sturdy.
-Diplomats are sent to Moldova for talks about investments. The Ukraine fails to convince Moldova to end their energy contract with Russia and to switch to the Ukraine.
-A national reserve of gasoline is created 5% of oil refined in Odessa is stored in the National Reserve for usage by Ukraine in deals with other nations.
-Warrantless surveillance of private communications is outlawed. This comes around the time PRISM is discovered in America.
Could you change your formatting a bit. I'd like to have every thing separated nicely.

-The military personnel numbers are increased slightly by large recruitment drives.
-A new tank is under development. Named the L85 Kodiak, this large Main Battle Tank is modeled after the outdated Challenger 1 but with major improvements made to it. It employs a groundshaking 125mm rifled cannon, a coaxial .50BMG machine gun, and a coaxial 7.62x51mm machine gun. It uses Chobham Armor which is basically described as a collection of ceramic tiles encased within a metal matrix and bonded to a backing plate and several elastic layers. The hardness of this armor prevents penetration and the tiles allow a bit more give before breaking than traditional metal armor. The L85 also uses Explosive Reactive Armor.
-New uniforms are created that are completely self contained, meaning that they have self regulated temperatures to keep the wearer comfortable in all climates. They're also sealed against nuclear, biological, and chemical contaminants. They include a gas mask with a wide lense as well.
-The standard assault rifle of Canada is changed to the H&K G36A2 and G36K. Most military personnel don't complain but everyone is wondering why this decision was made.
-The MG3 replaces the M249 as well. The HK417 20" replaces the C14 as the primary sniper rifle of the Canadian military. Marksmen grumble and moan about this as they have to get accustomed to a new rifle.
-Training is made more regular and more arduous to increase the effective military strength of Canada.
-Public works and infrastructural products are given funding to temporarily create jobs to assist the economy. This helps somewhat.
-The minimum wage is increased to $12/hr. Many small companies aren't too happy with this.
-Maple Syrup. That's all I'm going to say.
-Firearm restrictions are marginally loosened. PAL and RPAL licenses are merged into one.
-AK-47 and RPK based firearms are decriminalized. Only if they're semi automatic though.
-The 10 round limit for magazines is increased to 30. The new merged firearms license is required for this however.
-Nuclear power investment is increased to make that the primary power generation method of Canada. Some right wing people are worried of the consequences. The scientific community is extrememely happy with Canada. Oil companies attempt to lobby to prevent this but to no avail.

-Funding is placed in the purchase of somewhat outdated first world military hardware. M16s are bought in bulk.
-North Korea is pressured into freeing the market somewhat after initial refusals. China convinced them by flying aircraft nearby and placing much of the fleet around North Korean waters.
-Investment in African nations continues.
-Peacekeeping forces are sent to the Congo to improve the infrastructure there as well as general quality of life.
-Peacekeeping forces are likewise sent to Somalia but with less friendly results. Many clans fight back against the Chinese but with unfavorable results for themselves.
-The WTO is given support by putting pressure on countries China is investing into, to introduce free trade reforms and make themselves more conductive to trade.
-Investments are put into nations within the Chinese Sphere of Influence. China pressures free market reforms on those nations as well.
-Interest rates are lowered to decrease unemployment but increase inflation somewhat. This encourages lending and allows the economy to grow somewhat.
-Wages are pushed up in China.
-Tariffs are eliminated to encourage free trade.
-A pollution tax is initiated to discourage the pollution of rivers and the emission of sulphur and other "dirty" gases. Renewable energy companies are subsidized. Oil and coal are stockpiled.
-Fusion power research is initiated to help speed the switch to clean energy.
-Thorium reactor research is also initiated for similar reasons. This research goes much faster.
-Regulation of terminator seeds is ended. Genetically engineered foods are now more common.
-Monsanto is invited over. They gladly accept this invitation.
-Infrastructural improvements begin due to increased funds via subsidies.
-Children's bike manufacturers are subsidized.
-The one child policy is changed to the two child policy.
-Plans begin to send a rover to the moon. Current plans are for the launch to occur in the summer of 2016.
-Chinese astronauts are trained for a moon landing.

I linked you links to scientific papers by independent groups testifying to the safety of GM food.
Monsanto food is perfectly safe (although their business practices are less than ideal).
You gave me links to flawed or refuted studies inside tabloid articles on webshites that are heavily biased against Monsanto in the first place.

Excuse me but kindly choke on a chode.
The map he used is the one He, DP, and I made for modern games and does not have 'loads of inaccuracies'
The previous map (the one up there now) is much more inaccurate. Also too bright and ugly.
