Named the Mk. 1 RPEC-L, it is based around the design of the M79. NATO and the UN are asked if they would like to see the blueprints. Both oblige Serbia. -Serbia forms a military alliance with France. -Kosovo gains independence from Serbia after agreeing to give North Kosovo autonomy. North Kosovo chooses to stick with the rest of Kosovo. If the nation suffers infrastructural or economic collapse they are to rejoin Serbia. -Northern Epirus is recognized as an independent nation by Serbia. The UN, however, still does not recognize them as a nation. -Albania is denounced for their actions involving Northern Epirus. -Greece is sent a basket of plum rakia to improve relations. -Attempts to improve relations with the rest of the former Yugoslav nations goes decently. -The nation begins shifting to a more pro-EU outlook. "Sorry for forgetting you" said a mysterious, masked (possibly black and tall) benefactor before running off into the night, basketball in hand. -The Polish president holds a carpet party with a few foreign ambassadors. Only three show up and that's only for the vodka. Even then a sizable number of Poles are unhappy with the foreign people for touching their beloved carpets. -Shitloads of carpets are bought. The economy is like "wtf". -Poland is briefly known as Carpetland. -Carpets -Rugs Republic of Germany - Zillamaster55 Economic Strength: Elite ↑ Military Strength: Above Average - Military Morale: Elite ↑ Civilian Morale: Below Average ↓ International Respect: Elite - Research Ability: Elite - -The German military begins using the Bavarian wilderness as its primary training ground. -German recruits train for two extra months. This improves effectiveness and morale. -Germany begins pulling out of Afghanistan. Civilian morale improves. -German aircraft in Afghanistan are ordered to prepare to leave for home. -Germany begins looking into ways to strengthen the EU's defenses without the help of NATO. Many people question this decision as NATO is a useful organization but nobody really is upset by it. -Germany officially declares they will no long be involved in Afghanistan. The US is upset by this. -Taxes are raised on the top 15% of people in Germany much to the dismay of them. -Tariffs on Chinese imports are lowered. Trade flourishes. -Germany begins selling excess weapons to 3rd world countries such as Somalia. A lot of people are upset by this. Civilian morale lowers. -Taxes on gasoline are raised 25% to discourage individual travel. Protests ensue. -Depictions of Swastikas, Nazism, Fascism, National-Socialism, and other social stigmas are declared legal but are still discouraged. Nobody really takes much note of this. -Marijuana is legalized but still limited to 10g per person. -Germany continues looking for new forms of green energy. Plans are already in place to have 30% of Germany's energy be clean, renewable energy by 2018. Republic of France - Eli45 Economic Strength: Elite - Military Strength: Above Average ↑ Military Morale: Strong ↑ Civilian Morale: Above Average ↑ International Respect: Elite ↑ Research Ability: Elite - -All troops have been pulled out of Mali at this point. -The AMX-56 Leclerc is upgraded with Chobham armour and this new variant is named the AMX-56B. The Leclerc is now an extremely formidable tank but is still behind the likes of the T-90 and M1A2. -A 360 degree 12.7mm machine gun is added to both variants of the AMX-56. It is used by the commander to defend against infantry. It is protected by armor to prevent the commander from being shot. -All existing AMX-56s are scheduled to be upgraded to the newer variant. -Thorium reactor research begins. -Nuclear energy is heavily invested in. -Funding in general is given to scientists who want to get their projects rolling. -Serbia and France have joined in a military alliance. It is anticipated to be put into service by 2018. -A new Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV) begins being designed. It currently named the IAC I "Wolverine" and is equipped with a 30mm autocannon and a .50BMG coaxial. It also uses two 7.62x51 coaxial machine guns. Obligatory Chobham armor without ERA. Tracked instead of wheeled and same engine as the Stoat. It should be extremely speedy. It is likewise expected to be in service by 2018. -The new uniforms (designated Mk I "Arctic Fox" Self Contained Infantry Battledress (SCIB) are updated to replace the gas mask with a contained helmet with an opaque one-way-mirror. It has a built in radio and re-breather. It also contains a power pack and atmospheric regulator on the back to recharge gadgets in the field. It's expensive as shit. As is everything Canada is doing with their military right now. -Can't really begin production of the new vehicles since they're not quite ready for use. They've got a LOT of things that need to be fixed first. -Defunct military hardware is sold to the highest bidder (in this case quite a few shady organizations). More H&K and Bundeswehr gear is bought. -Tax breaks are given to smaller companies who cannot easily adjust to the new minimum wage. A flat 10% federal sales tax is set on the sale of all goods, foodstuffs, services, fuels, lodgings, and entertainment. The people are pleased by this. The best of the best in the Canadian Air Force are recruited and trained for spacewalks and an eventual Mars landing. -An alliance is created with the Russian Federation. The Ukraine will not sell to criminal or terrorist groups. -Remaining wood-furnished AK-74s are placed in storage. -Moldova is heavily criticized for their rejection of an energy contract that would have heavily benefited them. The Ukraine demands that several Moldovian government officials step down. Moldova refuses and sends its own biting words right back at the Ukraine. Tensions are quickly rising. -Low-interest student loans are given out to science majors to help support the future of Ukraine's scientific center. Grants are given to art majors instead of loans. -The General Agenda for 2015-2020 is released. This shocking speech has unsettled many of the civilians of the Ukraine. -Yanukovych later explains in a separate speech that Eastern Europeans should reject foreign control of their economies. -Moldova is cited as a nation under control of foreign interests. President Yanukovych asks that the Ukrainian people stand against the oppression and exploitation of the Moldavian people. -The UN promptly tells the Ukraine to calm down the rhetoric.
