EPOCH 1, The first age of peace:
Rome, the mysterious, formed in the northernmost islands, not making contact with any other nations.
The Americans formed in their isles close to the mainland, discovering most of the other civilizations.
Greece forming to the west, built up in peace, and began building great roads for trade.
Japan remained completely isolated.
Britain, the industrious, was the superpower of this age. Completely dominant in all aspects of life, this was their golden age.
Germany builds peacefully in the northlands.
EPOCH 2, a time of times to come:
Rome breaks their mold of quietus and announces their presence to the world by invading America, their legions dominating the Americans by surprise. Rome quickly moves to end hostilities and wins many lands.
America takes the war as a warning, and builds many defenses and a great army. Meanwhile, America becomes the hub of trade throughout the world.
Germany continues building up, and trades with many nations.
Japan remains isolationist.
Greece quickly is shown to be a great power, and takes Britain's mantle as the superpower of the world.
Britain builds in peace.
EPOCH 3, a time of turmoil:
Roman ships on their way back from the Americo-Roman war, are ambushed by a fleet from Germany. The German fleet is destroyed, and the Roman fleet is badly damaged. Rome demands compensation, but cannot field an army to press Germany to fulfill their demands. Rome colonizes America's former lands and a peninsula to the south.
America lies dormant.
Greece builds up more.
Germany, in reaction to the Roman threats, begins building massive armies and moves them to his border. They also begin construction of WoodNET, a massive wall and defense network among their borders.
Japan breaks isolationism and begins trading with her neighbor, Germany. They soon form a very close alliance, The Emperor making trips throughout the lands to make good relations.
Britain soon establishes good relations with Greece, forming a strong bond.
Greece, reacting to border incursions, declares war on Germany. The war is long, with many losses on both sides. Technology from the war spreads throughout the lands...
EPOCH 5&6: War.
Rome, with a war on its borders, begins war preparations. Building massive armies and fleets.
Britain rushes to Greece's aid, fighting the Germans now in some minor battles.
Greece fights Germany in massive decisive battles in the European mainland, Germany loses ground but persists, fielding huge armies and fleets to defend her homeland. Germany never goes on the offensive again.
Japan sends armies to aid Germany, waiting along the German borders to the wilderness.
Britain continues to fight, now they fight the Japanese mainly.
EPOCH 7: Shit gets real, son
Rome invades and destroys the Japanese army, sending the Emperor in retreat to the homeland. German reinforcements are sent, but are destroyed. The Roman army destroys and rampages through Germany, but the German mainland remains untouched. Massive navies attack and destroy most of Germany's coastal defenses. The German fleet responds and destroys most of Rome's navy, but reinforcements are sent.
Greece sends several fleets towards Germany, destroying her navy but is destroyed by ever flowing reinforcements. An invasion is prepared but never sent. Greece's government is never heard from again.
Germany holds fast against 3 powers, massive armies and navies repelled every time. Germany's economy is destroyed by the constant warfare however, as well as most of her home life. She is only military now.
Japan isn't heard from, but massive navies are sent in secret to attack Greece and Rome. They never reach their targets. Massive navies are raised in secret but for some reason, never sent out.
America lies dormant.
Britain stops their offensive, to build up again.
At this point a massive asteroid hits the planet, destroying all life.

also wtf you didnt dominate me you destroyed very small task force meant to inhabit england, that was like 1/20th of my actual military force.

To be fair, I [I]may[/I] have fallen asleep in my chair for a portion of that, after I awoke I just decided to make my cities look pretty with walls and stuff. (I then fucked up and had to spend 5 minutes deleting a few hundred wall foundations that went in a massive line through my cities.
I was germany, my mainland economy in scandinavia was never destroyed, also during the war when uberman fought mine+japanese forces and defeated them, I quickly destroyed the rest of his forces with my reserves.

To be fair, we completely destroyed your coastline of your mainland.
Furthermore, some fact checking from a neutral point of view on that breakdown -
1. Greece began building roads in epoch four, not one.
2. Romans barely won a victory. The only land gained was Ireland.
3. The Roman fleet was ambushed during the war, not after.
4.Woodnet was announced Epoch 2, not 3.
5. Britian had an alliance with Greece since Epoch 1.
6. Japan began trading with Germany during the war.
7. Germanys army was completely destroyed at one point, but their navy was overpowering, meaning a mainland invasion never happened when the army was in position to do so. (I'll tell you why when I'm not on an iPod)
So, some complaints. Epoch aging was WAY too slow. 3+ hours and only Dark ages? Come
on. Even more, territory distribution was unfair. I only got Spain and very north Africa - while massive territory was given to Japan and Germany. There was also a lot of 'no mans land"
Anyways, have you guys tried Europa? I think it might be better for this sort of thing.

We did use the Europe map.
And we don't usually Epoch age every 30 seconds mate, its supposed to be slow. Thats how we've always played it.
