No, there's no reason, 1.8 maps will get 1.9 content, just short of the new biomes (and even then, they'll show up in newly generated land. And I think that's pretty cool, the thought of snow and mushroom biomes being at the ends of the map).

And for future reference, when 1.9 comes out, we are still going to be a trade post, not a brewery. That'll be someone else's forte. We'll buy potions though, and sell tools required to make them such as cauldrons.

Just made a massive exchange with Dotrichard in which I exchanged a large sum of diamond for a metric shitton of arrows and string for bows, which will go on sale tomorrow (was previously listed as "Out of Stock"). We are now LOW on diamond (not really, we still have at least a 64 stack, but it's less comfortable), so don't expect any more larger transactions for diamonds in the next few days. Iron and gold are in stock at the trade post.
Really enjoying the server, it's a shame I've started lagging like no other.

Also, someone posted that tool a while ago, that lets you connect maps of different versions to eachother by putting a valley and a river at the border. Looks a lot better than suddenly seeing massive cliffs and other unnatural, terrible looking mapgen 'errors'.

It's been well over one week since i made the pages for the two geographical locations called Ramalaya and Cherwood and there hasn't been any new geographical location added since!
Please people pay some time at the wiki, each page doesn't have to be perfect immediately, you could add stuff over time, just please make the pages so that we may have a more living and fun world to play in!

Al'right, so I've been working on these plans for a mob farm that I have built twice in the past and a few other variations along the way. Spent all of my night on these images trying to get them to be understandable and they're pretty clear in my opinion. This is my 64 platform mob farm. With 8 by 8 blocks per platform including height keys etcetera. I suggest building the grinder first and then the toilet bowl with the farm afterwards. I may release my own design for the grinder but they're pretty simple. This is about 10.5k blocks so if you're serious about it go ahead. Alternatively you may only make the 16 green platforms and keep stacking the floors up and up.
You will need some very decent space for this and you'll need to go splunking for dark caves nearby if you want good spawn rates within the farm. I could explain some more and give some detailed documentation but only if people are interested. I don't want to waste my time but I know some people were interested on the server to know the design of my farm being as efficient as it is. I'm more than happy to release these.

Thanks for posting that mob grinder design, I'll probably get to work on building one soon. And if that's your design, I don't mind paying a small fee to use it. For the time being though, we do sell some mob products, primarily arrows, as we've got a deal with dotrichard.
