I'd like to see Cavorite, which could be used to make gravity resistant armor. Maybe it reduces falling damage or increases jump height.
Reduced falling speed would be good but it doesn't really fit the nether.

Would it be possible to make a purple glowing torch like thing which repels endermen?
The month's invoice just rolled in so it's time to pay that :v:
I spawned dead
how is that even possible
Can you change it so soulsand is a bit more dangerous? Like have it so you can sink all the way through and drown in it.
Soul Sand is already dangerous enough, I tried parking a boat in a Soul Sand dock.
Suddenly, random death by fall damage and I lose everything at the bottom of the ocean.
Don't give Soul Sand any buffs please.

It'd be good to have a material (Latin-based name suggestions: Reptorite, Surreptitium) that repels or, even better, attracts creepers.

"Illithium - A precious metal that can be used both for sculpture and for creating weapons that are effective against the undead"
Swords that do more damage against zombies and skeletons. Easy logic.
Speaking of which. If you're adding new stuff, please add new weapons.
We lack warhammers, battleaxes, spears etc. Should come up with special properties for each.
Warhammers could smash enemies away on hit thanks to the blunt force, easier to blast them off cliffs and away from you
Battleaxes could inflict bleeding damage over time
Spears would have longer reach
Swords would have a chance to do a critical hit for extra damage
[editline]15th November 2011[/editline]
Oh and new stone types for varied construction
Marble, quartz etc
Personally I think we have been going about making cities the wrong way. The lots need to be way bigger for houses and instead of just making your house and living in that area for a bit before you move on, citizens of the city should be given community buildings to make as well like libraries, churches, shops, pubs etc.
I know a lot of people on this server seem to have a leadership fetish which makes them want to own their own city but that could be remedied by giving some people their own districts of the city to manage. Kind of like how it's done in Karkand but on a much bigger scale, 50x50ish isn't big enough to call a district in my opinion. Essentially I want people to keep building their different towns, but instead of being thousands of blocks apart, build it next to another town and call it a city district.
That was kind of the ultimate plan for the Karkand, to have the pyramid be a massive capital, with a massive city around it.

YES
Sproutcraft
Mithril would be cool. Above diamond
Also, I do believe we are buying sand and sandstone, contact DrCow or myself for details, we've got gold, iron, lapis and diamond.
above diamond? I don't know... Diamond is what they use for drills in certain things.
I'd rather have things with weird properties or maybe even just relics or decorations to put on display.

Mithril is a powerful magic ore from LotR

Mithril used to be the shit in Runescape.

Different relics/artifacts could be cool. A tiny random chance of finding one when mining a block of smoothstone. Dunno what use they could have though.
I will not make a material if it's only purpose is to add another set of tools and armor. We have enough of that.

I accidentally an ocean on a mountain.

What about a block in the nether that explodes if you mine it with a pick and looks very similar to normal netherrack. The Nether just isn't dangerous enough at the moment.
I will make scuba gear for crampture!
Oh god I keep falling through the ground whenever I login to the server
:smithicide:
[editline]16th November 2011[/editline]
oh god they took out smithicide
I say we don't make any new blocks and items though, so we can use the world without spout :v:
Maybe scuba gear though?
[editline]16th November 2011[/editline]
Scuba gear could be just a texture switch of a helmet.

Scuba = Punkins
But how about a special arrow that lets you control an NPC that you hit with it for a certain amount of time, and players for 10 seconds? Be neat to be able to march creeper spys up to a house.

I have to agree with this. A lot of Minecraft mods tend to fuck my game up because I use MAtmos to add ambient sound to the game, I really don't think we need something like Sproutcraft or whatever it's called on the server. It's just going to cause problems for people who have trouble running mods/just poor luck with them.

Spoutcraft installs beside minecraft, it won't break or overwrite anything.
Spoutcraft installs beside minecraft, it won't break or overwrite anything.
Or you can use the custom client for it
That's what I meant.
I need some people to help with laying rails for the crampture subway!
New version of finite water up on the dev server. You can now drain lakes.
You'll see that parts of oceans turn into lapis blocks, but don't worry about that.
[editline]16th November 2011[/editline]
It will be quite laggy for a while until all the natural waterfalls and what not have settled down in a pool.
Uh what version of minecraft is the server running on?
1.81
I should probably install spoutcat already
