I say we don't make any new blocks and items though, so we can use the world without spout :v:
Maybe scuba gear though?
[editline]16th November 2011[/editline]
Scuba gear could be just a texture switch of a helmet.
mining a block of netherrack in the nether has a small chance of spawning a bed in its place which you instantly explode
i think its a good idea
[editline]16th November 2011[/editline]
is spoutcraft compatible with any mods?
I hate nath so much I can't find any words to describe it.
We've finished a fence around Karkand, to keep those god damned desert creepers from the door :v

And this is where I built the city of Zhidgrad.

IF I HAD ONE.
Dotrichard is about to get richer.
Why no pre-release 1.9.6?

[editline]15th November 2011[/editline]
Votes for spoutcraft(read sproutcat) have so far been overwhelming, 92 % have said yes.
Putting it on the server, doesn't have proper block api support yet though, but soon!

Also ramalayha is considering making us nether ores!
Any suggestions for names of ores and what properties they should have are welcome!
As well as what items you would be able to produce from them
Sulphur (looks like a yellow lump of coal)
*Iron rarity
- Can be used with sticks to make torches, like you would with coal.
- Can be used as fuel for furnaces, same effectiveness as coal
- When combined with a piece of actual coal (or charcoal), you get gunpowder.
- Used instead of flints when making arrows to make fire arrows
Bloodstone (netherrack with red ore streaks)
*Gold rarity
- When smelted it turns to red metal bars
- Items are of a similar quality to iron, but bloodstone items repair themselves when you kill creatures with them
- Can be made into a red bloodstone block (3x3), that lights up when people stand on them (like redstone), and heals them
Adamantium (netherrack with lightblue ore streaks)
*Diamond rarity
- When mined, produces a lump of adamant (looks like a cyan coloured lump of coal)
- When used in inventory or on a workbench, you get an adamantium string
- 2x2 adamantium strings produces one adamantium sheet (lightblue paper).
- Adamantium sheets can be used to craft items. Adamantium items have ten times the durability of Diamond items, and the same strength/speed.

Adamantium items just sound stupid and it's nothing even remotely exciting
Adamantium items just sound stupid and it's nothing even remotely exciting
Jeah, just ignore that. I wanted it as a hommage to Dwarf Fortress, but it's actually just 'diamond, but better!', and I hate mods that do that.
Diamond and adamant are pretty much the same thing anyway.
How about adding steel?
It can be produced by combining coal and iron in a special device.
Production of steel takes some time and a lot of coal and iron is needed to produce one ingot.
Also, add progress bars to crafting, so if you fail you get a message: "You almost made it, but it's useless, you throw it away."

Son of a troll.
Don't think we even need more tools, Iron is fairly okay but doesn't last that long. Can just stack tools if you throw them on a storage cart though.
Would like to see furnaces change texture if there is something left inside. I remember asking Rama for this but can't remember the reason he didnt do it.

I was thinking that the other day, it's annoying having to check every furnace to make sure you got everything.
I tried to connect but your server does not have pre-release 1.9 v6.

Ofcourse, it's not a true release yet
Well fuck

I'm getting closer to the solution though:v:
To Dije,
I am a certified SCUBA diver so ask me if you have any questions relating to that.

Instead of having the hole in the furnace be dark, you could make add an orangy glow, indicating there's something in the furnace, glowing with heat.
I don't mean that it should give light. Just a slightly different texture.

Maybe just like if it's on, but not as bright? or more orange
Also, the following mod/addon would be nifty. I just thought of it while I reread my nether ore suggestions.
Redstone block (3x3 redstone powder, or maybe 2x2 for a more economic crafting recipe):
Looks like a red version of a Lapis Lazuli block. When a current is applied to redstone blocks, they glow with red light. This would make them a toggleable sort of light.
How bright they should be would be up for discussion. A level of 7 makes the most sense, considering it's redstone, but it would also be somewhat useless as a lightsource then. It should probably be 12 or 14, with the argument that it is concentrated, crystalized redstone.
Maybe just like if it's on, but not as bright? or more orange
But then it might be too easily confused with a burning/smelting furnace.
Actually you're right, if you just make it really dim then that would be perfect.

Conductive redstone block for vertical signal?

I've suggested this in the ideas thread before. If you do it I will love you forever.
