Also Orkel there are cows, chickens and pigs on the island now.
I was thinking of fencing the entire island so they don't wander off.

it got magically introduced when we switched from 1.8 to release 1.0.
Karkand is a pretty slick town
You could make a ranch for the animals on the island. I think theres still a lot of room in one area for that if it hasn't been used.
And if not, just demolish a house that was abandoned. You should probably ask permission first unless its obvious they aren't coming back.
Okay the Port Travis barn yard is open with an initial population of 8 cows, 2 pigs and 4 chickens.

You can pretty it up if you want Orkel.
They should be fine in there. You should see my ranch on the 2b2t server. Its 100k blocks out, in the tundra and the sheep glitch out of the pen sometimes. I have them all in separate except the cows and pigs.

So apparently in the weeks that I've been gone, some dude mined into my tower near spawn, ransacked my underground sugarcane room and stole some other blocks here and there.
Ohh, and everything seems to be covered in snow.
We could use some kind of block that stops snow from falling and ice from forming in an area around it. Kinda like how the lightning conductor stops lightning from striking, but the new block would serve more like a tiny little "desert biome" generator.
Like crafting a bucket of lava surrounded by netherrack makes a heater or something.

To whom it may concern, the Klippan carts are a bit fucked up. I pressed the button, and the cart came out of the chest and onto the track, but it wouldn't budge from its spot. Might have to look into that.

It ultimately doesn't really matter that much to me, as it's nothing of major value that got broken or taken. It's just a minor annoyance.
I don't expect to leave for a month, and to have my place be in pristine condition when I come back. My roof constantly gets wrecked by endermen. I'm used to having to fix holes and other stuff.

Maybe a special sort of furnace that burns coal for 10 or so times as long, and melts snow within a 10 block radius?

Either buff the length at which the coal burns or the radius. Just a 10 block radius would require an assload of such furnaces around a town for example and the coal requirements would be immense with "just" 10 times as long burn time as normal furnaces per coal.

Orkel did great in the time I've been absent from Travis.
He even published a couple books.
Getting this place back in shape. Added a new farm to lessen the stress on the old one. I also made a bakery where I'll make cakes.
Reset for 1.0 anytime soon?

It seems like we just made the map although it is true the terrain is kinda screwy with all the changes.
I wouldn't protest against a reset but I don't mind keeping it really. I'm just in the strip mining phase in Travis in order to pull out any resources but I don't mind not having any diamonds.
