so the server is on prereleases or 1.8?
You do realise Minecraft has officially been released and is now on 1.0.0 right?

Also, let's please, please keep the map. With Karkand and Crampture, the trading, subways, and enough time, this could become the next "world 13"
Orkel did great in the time I've been absent from Travis.
He even published a couple books.
Getting this place back in shape. Added a new farm to lessen the stress on the old one. I also made a bakery where I'll make cakes.
By the way, there's an egg farm hidden beneath the barn yard if you didn't already notice.

any grand plans for port travis?
[editline]28th November 2011[/editline]
Does anyone know why it takes like 4 minutes for chickens 'warm up' before they start laying eggs?
I mean after the 4 minutes I'm getting like 16 eggs a minute but still.
Eh I would like to join Port Travis, I know how it feels to have made a town and it be abandoned. Sulsamburgh..... so pretty....
Also, how do i get rid of my bed spawn? I want to spawn at normal spawn...
Oh, Brim, by the way, I can provide potions for Brimtrade.
Oh, Brim, by the way, I can provide potions for Brimtrade.
I don't want to kill the market for everything with this, so I'm only going to be buying basic potions (such as instaheal) in large quantities. I already have a supplier, and I'll only need one or two more. (Not counting Flubber, I'm supporting him outside of the trade post, he'll be doing the crazier potions).
Also, to Flubbernugget, I delivered 5 diamond picks, 5 diamond swords, 5 iron picks and 5 iron swords to you, they're in a chest by the enchanted tools chest.
yeah sure join the Port Travis party. I'm thinking about demolishing some buildings with permission since a lot of them haven't been used since the map first started. A lot of the inhabitants were new players who tried the server once and quit.
To make it feel less lonely I made snowmen in each house so it seems inhabited.

The two houses nearest to the water gate entrance are abandoned, you can convert them into public buildings if you want.
Alright, I'm off to bed, about half way through changes with the space underneath the trade post. Added more storage, better labels, and a furnace room (which is, in fact, a miniaturized version of the one in Karkand).

I sell every potion you want or need brimstone. Just hit me up on PM. I have enough resources to makes ton's of double chests's with any potion.
Reset for 1.0 anytime soon?
I miss my natural snow biomes :(
I say we wait until halfway through 2012, then we think about getting a new map.
I'm not resetting anytime soon here.
hooray

I am already head over heels in that market. I will always be one step ahead of you.

I never liked finite water because it makes fountains and waterfalls impossible. Tbh it'd wreck the server if you opened the ocean to a cave, or any large under-sea level air pocket (Crampture, anything else underground, etc)

It wouldn't.
You should see how fast rama's plugin runs when it actually works, don't be so hasty to make judgement when you have no idea what actually goes on.
As well as limitations on how much resources it can actually eat up.

how does this work, exactly? I don't think it's a good idea to prevent people from making fountains and other decorative things with water, and there's also a lot of less common functional uses for water which finite water would make impossible. I do think it would be nice to make mob traps harder to operate, though, and as much as I might make use of the ability to climb with water, I don't think it needs to be there.
what karkland should really have now is a sphinx

maybe add some way to make "normal" water?
Or make a block that spawns 'traditional' water from the top, so people can still make fountains, waterfalls and the like.

Fountains? Fountains were never really that important, like at all. I just think this is how water should have been from the very start, and so it shall be.

I understand this is your server and all and that you can add whatever plugin you want, but it's quite obvious that the majority doesn't want this plugin.
