It's always hard to make a city or town on your own because you'd build stuff too perfect. Maybe plot out the spaces first and then build some boxes on them.
Instead it should be a progress of construction, alteration and demolition. And don't make houses symmetric. It's the worst kind of look.
Plus, it would be almost impossible to come up with enough styles for houses just on your own.

Well, it appears that PistonsExtended still has the bug that causes clients to crash, because I can't seem to get the server to load again. It crashes immediately when I log in.

I guess I probably should have specified, he was messing around in a small settlement that he probably thought was abandoned.

From your comment you make it seem like I had been griefing your town for a long time, for a start I destroyed some small things in obviously abondoned buildings, most of them had taken lightning/creeper damage or where previously griefed.
I mostly spent my time repairing things and helping others with building or getting supplys I also helped you a little. If I was a greifer your 'New Paris' would have been long gone, but no I instead patched up little bits of your unfished buildings or repaired areas that had taken creeper damaged while you where gone, not once did I ever think of griefing.
P.S. dont give up on New Paris

I think it would be fun once we get the pvp server up that we start up different castles or walled in cities to fight with each other. Like Dark Green vs Light Green. Donators vs Mods or something like that.
Sun, you have any larger lots available in your city? I'd like to move in, i won't be able to show up for a few days though, I'm traveling from afghanistan to home currently (Finally) so it'll be about a week before I'd be able to start building on a lot.

However I have given up on New Paris. If you want you can take it over and do whatever you want with it.
I am going to do other things. I wouldn't suppose you'd want to live in a city in the desert where the only houses are tents made of wool and 10x10 plywood shacks would you? haha
But I do want to do another project with some other people. I'm thinking of a fortress city built on a mountain with steep walls but thats just an idea. I'm still open to all ideas.

He took my entire goddamned radston circuit! Do you know how hard it is to build a double retracting hidden staircase? Hard! You even stole my entire blue wool hidden room which was connected to the staircase with xnor gates too! it took so long to fit all of that together. JUdging by the aftermath barely any of that redstone was destroyed before you came along either! Why the hell would you destroy all of it then destroy and steal a perfectly good hidden room!? I'm upset.
