There was actually a map in between that map and this one, but it lasted like a day.

There has been more, after the New Venice one it was the map with the nice desert town, that one was short though it was only there for maximum 2 weeks(because of some of the chunks reseting). After that we got the map with Svea and Simba along others. After that, maybe a month after we had the map with Shadowmarsh. That one lasted longer, about 2-2.5 months untill the map we are at now.
I loved Simba. My towns always have a nice ambiance to them although they may be dangerous and confusing.
All this fuzz about making new settlements... I'm sure that the current towns can offer you anything you want, except mayorship. We don't want people to go all wild west and settle up in the wild; we need to unite!
This, in combination with the public forge, can take care of any immigrants right?

From what people have said, this seems like the most logical way of having the railway line. Since almost all of the settlements that want to be involved are basically in a straight line it doesn't really make sense to have it a more complicated network until some other towns join in.
