The XP orb remover thing doesn't work. The server is unplayable again.
Goddammit, I'm busy most of tomorrow... leave the map up for a while so people in other timezones or with odd schedules can blow the hell out of their homes? Also, when are we switching to the official map used for 1.8? I am desperately trying to resist building until the final thing is ready...

Seems like 1.8 is not going to have tundra or any kind of snow biomes(wat). New map for 1.9 confirmed.
I think the leak doesn't have all biomes.
If 1.8 does not have snow biomes or 256/512 heightlimit and they are in 1.9 i say we do a real map change at 1.9 and have some minimap like the Svea/Simba/whitecliff map until then.
Let's make the temporary map one with an immense sea and small islands. Anyone got an appropriate seed?

that seed you posted is not the same any more. With each release it seems the way seeds generate a type of map (or spawn location) is different. I tried a few ones I liked on 1.8 PR1 on 1.8 PR2 and got a completely different map.

Profan TP'd me from my house about half way across the map to show me his crypt, (Which is awesome btw)
And then he wouldn't TP me back.
So I went on a quest to get the hell back to my house.
I won.
And on the way I found something... Interesting.
I'll be going back to it and making it a house.
[B]UPDATE:[/B] After a couple hours my victory was short lived. Griefers struck the swamp by spawn, destroying my and wlfeh's houses. Mine only had one item dropped in it, and wlfeh's had several, which made me think it had been within 5 minutes ago. I also noticed several of the players acting oddly rude.

I have a photo to back this up if needed, and, though my house personally was not a huge loss, they still need to be stopped.
The only one I saw near spawn, but he seemed to be acting alright was Lazlow87.
In the mean time, off to walk another 500 miles to get to my epic new house which there are only 3 of on the world.
[B]Update 2[/B]: Turns out, living in a stronghold is a BITCH. Silverfish EVERYWHERE. I'll have to wait until I can get some help clearing this thing. But if I can get this pulled off, it will be the most awesome structure I have ever lived in.
