"I can tolerate his ass since we need him. But if he pulls the same shit, I'm tearing him a new one." He looked at the mess in the kitchen. "While you're here. We need some new food supplies. I can handle that if we were at a starport or space station somewhere, but you think you can ask the Argos guys to send something over?"
"Yeah, I can check with them. I think Ahaz was asking for if we can stop somewhere for booze too. Hopefully wherever we're going after this can get us restocked." said Taylor, nodding. "But regarding Maddox...keep an eye on him. Moloch too. I don't trust Moloch at all, and I'm starting to question Maddox now." she said finally, her tone a bit quieter as she glanced back towards the mess hall again.
"Will do captain. I should stop keeping you from your duties. Got my own mess to clean up." He said, looking at the mess all around him.

"Right. I'll get back to you about the Argos stuff." said Taylor, before turning and heading out of the kitchen. NOW it was time to update Rask. She proceeded straight to the bridge, where she sat in her chair and attempted to contact Rask with the restored comms system.
Shortly after the comm system linked up with the Aurikha, the holoprojector flickered to life to reveal an empty chair, and Rask laying with his back to the floor behind it. "Eh?" he grunted as he noticed the connection. "Oh. S'bout time," he grumbled, sitting up from the floor and rubbing the good side of his head. His hair was a mess, and when he finally seated himself back in his chair, Taylor could see the sunken look in his inattentive eyes. His stress was overt.
"Sir, we're getting ready to embark again," Taylor informed him. "We just need some basic supplies, like unspoiled food and drink, since ours was ruined during the fighting."
"That's fine, take your time," the kanad replied, drearily. "How's the crew? And, the uh... the ship. How bad is it?"
Taylor shifted a bit, not wanting to be the bearer of bad news, but slightly reassured from Rask's pessimistic approach to the topic. "Val and Amy are still in critical. Yuga and Vakarus are back up and around, and we've actually got Frosty back now. The ship-"
"Wait, what?" Rask blurted, straightening up. "I thought you went an' surrendered him to that spooky crackpot back on Voyak?"
Taylor grimaced. "That wasn't my call, but more importantly, that 'crackpot' is named Moloch and he's with us now. As in, he's on the crew."
"What!?" Rask yelled, having jumped to his feet. "Who approved that? And when were you gonna tell me, keh?"
"I'm telling you now. It was what we had to do to get Frosty back in one piece, and as captain, I decide who comes aboard this ship." Taylor replied calmly, crossing her arms and waiting for a response.
Rask's facial features quickly drained of their outrage, and he lowered himself back into his chair. "Uh-huh. If that's what it is, then that's what it is. And what about the ship?"
"I'm sending you the report the repair crews sent me. Just look at the overview photos from when they first pulled us into the hangar and that should give you the gist."
Rask reached over to his console, just out of view from the field of projection, and tapped on the panel for a moment. Apparently, the images Taylor had been referring to appeared on his screen, because his jaw dropped. Slapping himself in the face, he cursed under his breath. A moment later, he turned to Taylor with an evil eye. "Let's make a deal, human, for both our sake. Yanim doesn't see these pictures. Yanim doesn't get this report. Understood? I won't send you out in that rig again; I'll get a replacement if that's what you need. But this is, uh, this is fire, and the Boss is a keg of dynamite right about now. You get me?"
Taylor nodded. "I'm also sending you a proper report of what happened with Frosty. Even if it wasn't my decision, I feel that János conducted himself properly and that ultimately, the right decisions were made-"
"Yeah, yeah. I'll look over the reports tomorrow, Caine. It's gonna take us about a day to meet up in the middle if you set a course for Ayr and we do the same, anyway. Just make sure to take the route Argos lays out for you so you can avoid border patrol."
"Understood," Taylor answered.
Rask nodded. "Good enough, keh. See you tomorrow."
Maddox approached Taylor without a sound. "That went better than expected." He said, speaking up.
Taylor twitched, before looking back at Maddox as she hit the button to end the conversation with Rask. "Yes. Thankfully." she said, before standing and stepping over to the map console in front of her. She loaded up the routes that Argos had given them to take so they could avoid the Ayr patrols at the border. Complex, but needed.
"...So I heard you were trying to invite our newest crew member to examine the wounded? Then proceeded to slice your own arm open just so he could fix you?" she asked, not looking back at him. She pondered what his excuse would be. "You do realize that nobody on this ship trusts the man, and for pretty clear reasons." she continued. "What would you have done had he actually killed the wounded?"
Maddox grimaced. "You've talked with Alex." He crossed his arms and leaned towards a console.
"I don't trust him either but one of his pals was inside the armory. We started talking and I asked if Moloch had... abilities."
Mad sighed. "I've seen alot travelling the quadrants, but a guy who can heal with his bare hands? That's the sort of thing our ancestors read about in books. I had to see it with my own eyes."
He shrugged. "If a demonstration could also help Valk and Amy, then that's a bonus."
"For the record I was armed all the time." Maddox knocked on his chest which sounded like if someone knocked on plastic. He had a concealed holster under his uniform.
"Right. Next time, talk to me first. Don't just jump the gun and do it. People don't like to be toyed with, and you ran the risk of something really bad happening, regardless if you were armed or not." she said, looking back at him. She locked eyes with him. "If more harm had come to them, and they died, it would have been on your head. Not just Moloch's."
She switched off the Map display for now, then turned to face him. "And I doubt Alex would let you get away with getting his sister killed. I certainly wouldn't."
Maddox nodded. "I hear you, loud and clear." He walked up to her. "Anything else you wanted to talk about?" He asked with a warm smile.
Taylor, however, didn't smile back. Instead, her expression was still rather serious. "Not at the moment. I suggest doing a once-over of the ship, then alerting the crew that we'll be heading out shortly. I'll send you a message if I need anything else." she said, before walking past him. She still needed to talk to the Argos reps about some food and such, as well as talk to Frosty about what he had experienced.
Maddox's smile faded. "Ten-four, Cap." He returned to the armory shortly after Taylor left.
Ahaz excuses himself from Bucky's gaming session, realizing that he has to clean out his storage closet. He walks back slowly, hating that he'll have to mop up all the alcohol on the floor instead of drinking it. At least his pillow and rags would have absorbed some alcohol.
"Vodka.. Scotch.. jeez Ahaz. Could you try something organic for once?"
Jason spoke up to Ahaz while rummaging to the cabinets for any tea bags he can find through the endless sea of the broken alcoholic glasses.
(All the bottles of alcohol on the ship are broken)
"Um, yeast is organic right?"
Ahaz gets out the mop from under the bar and heads into the storage room, starting to mop up the alcohol from the floor.
"True. But, not drinkable and it makes you hurl like a waterfall. you haven't tried tea before?"
Jason grabs a honey lemon tea bag from the newly discovered box in one of the cabinets and then grabs a teacup and then fills it up with hot water.
Ahaz looks confused. "You do know that alcohol is pretty much made up of dead yeast?"
"And that's why i don't drink it."
After dipping the tea bag a couple of time, Jason sips a bit of his Honey lemon tea before speaking up
"Tea helps me focus more. Haven't tried anything alcoholic before so i haven't experienced being drunk before."
"Good, I don't want you drinking any of my alcohol when we restock."
"Doesn't mean that I'm not allowed to drink it in the near future"
Sipping more of his tea, he puts it down in the bar and then spoke up again
"So, where do you sleep? you look like you just been through a black hole."
Ahaz gestures towards the closet. "I live here. Pretty comfy place and I had all my booze nearby."
"Uh.. don't we have cabins where we can stay? and I'm pretty sure we still have vacant ones"
Ahaz looks surprised. "We do? When I was brought on ship, no one told me about any cabins."
Amelia goes to her room and takes out her tablet which is opened to a recent science report on the Heisenberg uncertainty principle - Why it's not good to measure horse race winnings on a quantum level.
She walks to the mess hall, still reading. Every now and then she lets out a chuckle. She walks to the hot chocolate machine, makes a hot chocolate for herself, and sits down at a table by herself.
Porter in the meanwhile cleans his shotgun in his room, polishing it up to work perfectly again.

"That's because your ass is clueless half the time and the other you're black out drunk." Alex could be heard from the mess as he exited the kitchen. He looked at Amelia who was sitting and gigling. "Well, well, somebody seems to be having a good time. How are you feeling Amelia?"

"Oh, could you hear me? Sorry, this magazine never seems to make me bored. Feeling okayish. Still waiting for something to study so I've been entertaining myself." she chugs down her hot chocolate leaving a brown liquid moustache, "What's going on chef?" she asks as she takes another sip.
"Nothing much. Sister is currently getting an operation done by the medic bot, Maddox is being a weasel and I think I may be able to salvage more seafood. You like sushi?"

"Oh heck yeah give me all the rolls please. If you got some coconut to go with it then by all means pour that sucker all over those fish."
"Oh, you know how to cook?"
"Only easy foods. Bacon, scrambled eggs, steak. Can't make a huge dinner of elaborate foods, but I can make some mean ramen boy." Her shirts reads 日常 (Nichijou) which means Everyday Life.
"Well, if you ever want to learn how to cook better. You can always drop by in the kitchen. I can teach you some thing. Exept not now. Damn place is a mess."
