After speaking to Vakarus, he went off towards Yuga to see her off as well. "I take it you're departing as well? I wish I was as fortunate."
Vakarus placed one of his hands on Frosty's shoulder. "During my time on the Muramasa I have learned that sometimes the best path is not the one which is right infront of us. Before I was put in exile I led a war against the neighbours of my people. I was so sure that my cause, my actions, were justified." He paused. "But now I see everything more clearly. You will give honor to house Frosty by accepting that the construct did not intentionally cause harm. You will not forgive him, but you will accept that like the rest of us we all choose the wrong path once in a while." With that said Vakarus bowed. "May the gods illuminate your path, Frozen-one."
Yuga looked from Vakarus to Frosty, "Fret not, Mr Frosty. I am only looking after my own future and even if I wanted to assist you now, I can not. But know this, the heretic is only masquerading because he is aware that you are the key to something." Yuga paused and looked over to the shuttle that just landed. She pressed a button on her crate and it began floating towards the it. She turned back to Frosty, "Your amnesia is the only thing keeping the zealot and his wretched minions at bay. If you truly care for the crew and do not want to turn into what you fear you once were you must not let him conquer your mind... You must terminate him."
"Believe me, Captain. I know very well that man is up to something horrible, and I am in the center of it. But, killing him? Captain, between you and I, I know what Moloch is capable of. I know how dangerous he is. I saw him do such horrible things when I woke. I'll be slaughtered like a cattle if I went against him. And I certainly don't trust the crew to stand against him either."
Amelia starts sniffing as waterfalls of tears drench her cheeks and ground beneath her as Yuga and Vakarus say their goodbyes. She runs up to Yuga and Vakarus, wrapping her arms around both of them, and gives a warm hug.
Vakarus chuckles and places a hand on one of Amelia's shoulders. He began to transfer psionic energy into her, giving her a sense of warmth from deep within. "Do not cry Curious-one." He kneeled and hugged her. "House Weinheart will always be welcome on Adanis."
Yuga studies Frosty for a brief moment, "Very well. I have no more advice to offer. Take care and heed my warnings, for it need not be you who commits the deed." Then suddenly Amelia appears out of nowhere. The sudden hug attack causes Yuga to hit herself in the abdomen with her cast arm, letting out a winced sound, "Ms Weinheart, please!" she puffs with a anguished tone.
Amelia lets go of them, leaving some tears on both of their clothes. She calms down a bit, "I'm gunna miss you both," she whimpers through her sniffing, "Sorry, Yuga,"
"Well, Captain, one last thing before I leave you alone. Did you take the credits I left for you?" asked Frosty.
Yuga corrects her cap and puts her hand on Amelias shoulder, "It truly is a shame that such a carefree and innocent individual like yourself would get involved in activities such as these." She turns to Frosty, "As a matter of fact I did, Mr.Frosty. I gave a percentage of it to Va'un and stored the rest of future investments. I thank you for your trust and loyalty and I owe you a favor." Yuga looked over to the shuttle, where two Royal marines stood waiting for Yuga and Vakarus to get on board. She looked between Amelia and Frosty, "Farewell now. If chance has it we may yet cross our paths once more. Let's just hope it will be as allies." she said with a neutral voice. She turned around and began walking towards the shuttle, signaling for Vakarus to follow.
"Goodbye, Captain. I hope we do meet again, hopefully with me in better condition and not among a rabble such as this crew." said Frosty while also doing a slight bow.
Vakarus bowed and then followed Yuga. He looked over his shoulder and waved before greeting the pair of marines.
2 years ago It was near midnight, but the lab was still open. Perfect. It just meant she wont have trouble getting in. Then again, every sister was allowed to come in and ask the eggheads for help. The only problem would be sneaking out. Over the last two months, Amy had become more and more disillusioned with the Alpha Sisters. Ever since what happened on Rigel, she found the people she once believed to be her closest friends slowly turn against her and reveal themselves as traitors, and yet they still believed that they were far better than the Omegas This life had its benefits, but the cost was something she wasnt willing to pay.She already lost many of her friends to this life, and now she had lost someone who meant even more to her: someone she loved. The cold truth revealed itself to her: nobody here gives a damn about her or her wellbeing. The other sisters only viewed her as someone they could use during a fight, nothing more. Well fuck that. She wanted out and she would leave on her own terms. She just needed to grab something from the lab. Passing by the rooms, she peeked in and saw what was being developed. Different projects in different stages of completion. None of it interested her until she finally came across the room she was looking for. Opening the door, she snuck in and looked at her prize layed out on the table. An experimental armor. Meant to generate a cloacking field for its wearer. If they ever released this, then the Sisters would have an edge over their competition. She smilled as she put the gloves of the armor on to test them. She liked the results. "Enjoying new clothes?" Amy froze in place. Shit! She knew this was too easy. She turned around to face the head of lab security. "Oh hi Viga. Didn't expect to see you here. How have you been?" Viga smilled and laughed. "Calm down. You in no trouble." "I'm not?" "Actually yes. But Viga dont care." Amy was getting more confused with each responce. "You dont?" "No. Relax. Viga explain. Viga has been making sisters mad. Sasha, Gretha and that other one. So they give Viga job. Guard lab. Boring shit." It starts to click for Amy. "Oh, so they gave you this shit job to teach you a lesson and to insult you?" "Do not interupt. But yes. You right. I do not give shit about this place. I tell the other guards to go somewhere else and leave Viga alone. Viga also wants to give one fuck you to boss bitches. So here is what we are gonna do. You will take toy over there." Viga pointed at the armor. "And hit me as hard as you can. In face. Make it look real. After that Viga will throw garbage around. Make it look like big fight. While you escape with it. After that I call alarm and deal with small bitches." "Wont the cameras here reveal that this was a setup?" "You not notice that camers off? What was your plan?" "Get in here, steal the armor and use it to escape." Viga looked at Amy as if she said the dumbest thing in the galaxy. "I now see a few problems with this plan. Ok, we'll go with your plan." She started putting on the rest of the suit. "What will you do after this?" "Viga retiring in 2 days. Probably go Rigel or Duroma or Prospera. Viga dont care." "Good as places as any I suppose." Amy placed the helmet on. Time to do what Viga told her and punch her. She lined up a shot and her fist collided with that of Viga's face. Unfortunately, it wasnt enough to leave any real bruises. She did it over again and again, until Viga told her to stop and get out. "Goddamn your face is hard." She muttered as she turned on the suit's stealth capabilities. Amy exited the lab and headed straight for the exit of the building. No point in retrieving whatever she had on base, as it would only slow her down and probably draw unwanted attention. Money wasnt an issue. She had plenty stashed in a separate account used by her brother to transfer money to her. If only he knew. Only a few minutes passed until the alarms begin to sound off along to the noise of sisters rushing to the location. Sounds like Viga has done her job.. All that was left was for her to sneak through some gates and she would be free to start her life again. --- Now. Amy opened up her eyes and placed her palm on her forehead as she got out of the bed. The memories started to flood back into her mind. The attack on the base. The chaos. The truck. Until finally, she remembered the explosion and it's burning feeling, which was the last thing she could recall. She looked at her hands and arms and whatever other part of her body was visible for burn or scortch marks. None were present anywhere, at the very least, none where present in places she could see. She sat upright in the bed for a few moments, trying her best to adjust to it all. "What the fuck happened?"
As the last of the cybernetics were implanted into Valkyrie's skull, and synthetic skin was applied over it, Valkyrie slowly began to return to consciousness. Slowly and steadily, the droids continued their intricate work, weaving the cybernetics through the synthetic skin and along the side of her head. The damage had been extensive, her skull blown open and part of her brain singed from the RPG blast. Thanks to Abraxas, though, the damage was halted there. The singed part of her brain had been dealt with first, repaired as best as possible by a few doses of medicinal nanomachines. Her neck was also repaired, at the same time as her brain. Then, the cybernetics were put into place to assist with her brain functions that were not fixed with the nanomachines. All of it lead up to now, a long process overall. - - - - - - - Years prior...

Everything was a haze of red, her brain pulsing inside her skull. Her body ached throughout. But she was still alive. The same couldn't be said for the man in front of her, a screwdriver jutting out of the back of his skull. It was the last time he'd ever cheat her out of money. Especially money related to her property. "F-Fucking piece of shit." she muttered, before jerking the screwdriver from the man's head and spitting on his corpse. She looked up at the few other horrified individuals in the room. All were half naked, electronic collars around their neck which flashed green every few moments, and bearing a large emblem stamped on their shoulder. Slaves. Slaves she had captured and had planned to sell off. She pointed at the closest one, and then pointed at her former subordinate's body. "Clean this shit up or you're next." she barked, wiping spit from her mouth then cleaning the screwdriver in her hand on her shirt. The terrified slave, an Ayr, nodded rapidly before getting to work. She dragged the man out of the room as Valkyrie turned around to the table she had been standing at just moments before. The man had tried to take half the money that she was supposed to get for selling off a handful of slaves to an allied pirate group. His fuck up, and it cost him his life. She threw the screwdriver down on the table, then looked over at the small pile of reddish colored powder nearby. She stared at it for a moment, before swiping her hand across the table and knocking it off. FUCK that shit. Never again. Especially if it made her feel like this. She let her head rest on the table, her brain still pulsing with pain. "F-Fuck this HURTS!" she said through gritted teeth, her eyes shut tight. She finally threw her head back after a few moments and looked at the other slaves in the room with her. "GET THE FUCK OUT." she ordered, pointing towards the door. The slaves scrambled over one another to get out of the room as quickly as possible. She walked around a bit after they had all gone, holding her head. The pain was too much. She couldn't take it anymore. She finally stopped, getting an idea. The table! THAT'S IT! She walked back over to it, and in a moment of intense pain and sheer want to make it stop, she slammed her head into the table. Knocking herself out cold. - - - - - - - Valkyrie woke up with a start, just as the surgery finished. "AUGH, SHIT!!" she said loudly, as the pain in her head hit her. Her hands went to her head, and that's when she noticed that half of her hair was gone, cut extremely short on one side. And the skin felt weird there...synthetic. "What the hell...WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO MY HEAD!?" she yelled, looking around at the drones. She looked around the room quickly, noticing that she was back in the Muramasa's medical bay. Not in the missile base. She then looked down. Surgical gown. That's when she started snatching equipment off of her and climbed off the table. "Where are my fucking clothes!?" she said, looking around frantically. She then snatched off the surgical gown as she stormed out of the room, the droids attempting to calm her down and stop her. She held the shaved side of her head with one hand as she walked. It hadn't hurt this bad since she nearly OD'd on Red Ice. She stumbled through the ship, nearly tripping over a few panels that were laying on the floor from where wiring and such were hastily repaired in the walls. Finally, she reached her room, where she changed into some fresh clothes. She then took a look at herself in the mirror in her cabin's bathroom. "...m-my head...my hair!" she muttered, looking at the side of her head in shock. After a few moments, she sighed. "...I guess I deserve this. I mean, I was the dumbass that didn't disarm that RPG round...heh. Hairstyle's kinda cool, I guess." she said to herself, as she rubbed her fingers across the side of her head, where the layer of synthetic skin had been grafted on.
"Good morning." Said Maddox who was standing at the door. He chuckled. "For someone who lost most of her head you look awfully happy." Said Maddox to Valkyrie. He pulled out her holster and gun from one of his utility pouches and tossed it towards Valk. "Think fast."
Mercy, who had relegated herself to the medbay as the old crew was leaving, got, well, a bit startled as Valkyrie, someone who she had only known to be in a coma from recent memory, suddenly got up and tore through the medbay, running out. After the ordeal, she focused her attention to the much, much calmer Amy, who, granted, she also knew was in a coma:
"What the fuck happened?"
"Oh, erm, bonjour, mon ami. Zhis is razher, well, ah... unexpected. Well, before telling you what, ah, little I know about what happened, I shall introduce myself. I am Mercy, zhe ship's new combat medic, after, well, I believe zhe last one left zhe crew." Mercy clears her throat a bit before moving on. "From what, I have picked up, you acquired... nasty burns on your last mission. Zhe burns required... new skin to be grafted onto your body. Synzhetic skin, I believe. You have also been in a coma for, well, a short while now. Some days now, I zhink it was." Mercy nods as she finishes up, waiting for any questions Amy might have.
Amy sat back on the bed. This new information was a little too much to say the least. "Did...did we at least finish the mission?"
Mercy nods in response to Amy. "Oui. But not after being attacked by a band of mercenaries for, well, whatever it was zhat was being acquired down on zhe planet."
"Oh?" Amy's ears perked up. "Is everyone alright? Did anyone get injured? Is my brother ok?"
Mercy perked herself up a bit, "Non, madame, everyone is fine, as you can see by zhe, well, razher empty medbay before you."
Valk caught the gun, and strapped it around her waist. "I'm far from happy. I got blown the fuck up." she said, cutting Mad a look. "And I've got a severe fucking headache. Anyway, where is everyone else? Did we blow the missiles up?" she continued, turning around and grabbing her jacket off the bed and slipping it on.
"Oh thank god." This was the first relieving thing she heard. "These mercs? Do you have any idea who they were? Or what they looked like?"
Mercy shakes her head and shrugs, frowning. "Unfortunately not, madame."
"Ahh, can't say I blame you. You were probably preocupied taking care of me and...Valk? How did she end up here? Actually, I'll ask her that myself." Amy looked over Mercy again. If she had to be honest with herself, she prefered to wake up to her rather than Abraxas. "So Mercy is it? How did you end up working for this ship?"
Mercy shrugged, leaning back on the counter behind her, "I transferred from zhe Cateract, anozher vessel zhat was working wizh zhis one during zhe mission on Voyak. I suppose it was to make up for zhe loss of your ozher medic, non? Truzh be told, I actually prefer zhe setup here."
With having seen Yuga and Vakarus off, wishing them the best in their future endeavors, and most definitely not wanting to talk to anyone else in the hangar, Frosty headed back into the ship and into his cabin just so he could be away from the crew. --------------------------------------- "Praise God that witch is gone." thought Moloch as he took another hit from his hookah. He noticed Frosty go back into the ship and contemplated checking up on him, but seeing how he seriously wanted to be alone, that would have to come later. Taylor was next on his list, however, and so motioned to her. "A moment of your time, Captain?"
Maddox nodded. "Yes, but not during the first time. You better sit down." Maddox crossed his arms. "After you and Amy got knocked out Abrax carried you like a champ. We were forced to evac but not before I managed to tear down half the mountain using N-X charges." "When we got back we learned that Frosty had gotten shot down and that his body had been stolen by some freaky dude named Moloch. Moloch and János, who was sent to retrieve Frosty's body, became buddies and the latter managed to talk Yuga and Vakarus into standing down. We then got new orders to recover some bigger weapons which would be used in an airstrike to cripple our primary target." "Before we went on the mission there was a... mutiny. Taylor is the new captain. Anyways, we deployed to transport the weapon and after fighting off a sewer monster- don't ask- we were riding alongside the highway with cops, peacekeepers and pissed off kanads on our tail. After a very chaotic firefight and a standoff we managed to exfiltrate with the weapon. Shortly after that we were hailed by some guy named Jason, a crewmember from our sistership Sparrowhawk, who appareantly was sitting on the Archive." "Seeing as it was one of our main objectives we deployed once again to not only save Jason but grab the Archive. It was a short fight with kanad commandos which also cost us a colleague, Wilson, who was on the other ship. Ontop of that we were ambushed by the Death Vigil when we entered orbit which nearly cost us the entire ship and Hariim. We were saved by some Argos guys and Moloch, out of all people." Maddox sighed. "As for the crew we're mostly fine but a little shaken. Abrax left, you and Amy have been in coma while our new doctors- Hestia and Mercy- did their best to finish what he started. Yuga and Vakarus left an hour ago on a shuttle and Frosty is back from the dead, although I advise you to steer clear of him for now." "That should be a rough recap of what has happened. Before you ask, we're currently docked inside the Aurhika's hangar. So don't worry about getting shot."
"Really? What makes us stand out from the last crew?"
Mercy shrugs once more in response to Amy, "I... do not know. It's just somezhink of a... feeling, you know?"
"You fought a shit monster?" said Valk, with a bit of a chuckle. That had to have been a sight. "...So Taylor's captain now. I bet the mouthless smurf wasn't happy. It'll be nice watching Tay-Tay crack." she said, with a bit of a smirk, as she pushed her way past Mad. "And Death Vigil is the reason the ship's fucked up, huh..." she said, her voice trailing off. What'd the edge lords want? The archive? Judging from how Mad was acting, the crew must have fought them off. Nice job on their part, but they'd have been fucked if Argos and this 'Moloch' guy hadn't shown up. She continued down the hall, then eventually down the cargo ramp. [editline]8th November 2016[/editline]
"A moment of your time, Captain?"
Taylor looked over, raising an eyebrow. "What is it?" she asked, turning a bit to face him.
