"Oh boy are you in for a treat, my friend. I'm gunna start it from episode one, I'm only three episodes in so it's fine diddily dine to watch it again. Get comfortable!" she leans back in her chair and presses play, starting Ace in Space, episode 1...
Bucky watches the show with a little smile, though she watches Amelia too. She seems to enjoy watching her company as much as the entertainment. Bucky seems relaxed, perhaps the most calm and tranquil she's been in a fortnight.
"So does the Ace always do that weird thing with the one-liner and the hand gesture every time he beats one of the Sub Space Dark Lords?" She asks, puzzled somewhat by the curious style of 24th century anime.
As Taylor sat there next to Mad, still drinking her vodka, she pulled out her holotablet. She had decided on a few things that she'd request, as Neasha had mentioned that they could. She typed up the list as she sat there.
Subject: The Three Requests
To: Neasha
From: Taylor Caine
Here's my requests.
1. A Power Dynamics Power Armor rack. Preferably one with a maintenance terminal.
2. A Ker-Fit Weight Bench w/ weights. Power lifting configuration.
3. A mArsenal 'Kinetic-to-Railgun' Revolver conversion kit w/ slugs. (Rare, but hopefully you can find one.)
These would be greatly appreciated.
Further down the hangar, the Selovehans were gathered to watch for the approach of the other ships. With the air-containment force-field protecting the atmosphere, the armored doors slid open to reveal the Cataract, gliding in from the bleakness of space. As it passed through the force-field, its engines became a dull roar, counteracting the artificial gravity as it maneuvered through the massive interior of the hangars. Behind it, the Sparrowhawk, almost too wide to fit through the door, rumbled in, and the two ships sat themselves down on their own landing pads. Despite the entry of two more ships to the hangar platform, there was still lots of room, and this was only the upper deck. The lower deck was being used for factory purposes.
Yanim, having finished greeting the Muramasa crew, strode along the long deck toward her second crew. Impressively, Captain Sharpe had instructed them to disembark together like professionals without having been ordered. Yanim couldn't be too critical of Taylor for not having done the same, as the Muramasa had taken a much worse beating. Finally, she found herself looking at a line of crew members from different races.
Before she could speak, Captain Sharpe did so: "Ms. Terika... where is General Rask?"
"Resting. He's fallen a bit ill with stress since the Voyak job."
"Hmph," Sharpe replied, his nostrils flared with a hint of contempt. "That's too bad; I had some important questions for him. Maybe you'd like to answer them for me?"
Yanim gave him a critical look. "I'm aware of Wilson's death, captain," she replied, skipping straight to the chase. "If you're going to berate anyone over his loss, then you can do so with me. I accept full responsibility for the conduct of this mission."
"Really? Did you know that the General was going to put our ship in the direct line of fire against the Black Fleet when we have nothing more to offer in the way of firepower than a damned machine gun? This is a support ship, kanad. We were on Voyak to recover the wounded."
Yanim nodded, resisting the temptation to become defensive while the captain shouted at her. "It was not my intent to send you into battle against the batakya, Mr. Sharpe. But I did entrust Rask to see the mission through to success, and, admittedly, we suffered less casualties under his watch than we did under mine. I didn't specifically order him not to utilize your ship in the way that he did, and so he did what he felt was necessary to save lives overall." She felt sick to her stomach as she remembered Rask refer to their employees as replaceable at an earlier point.
"To be perfectly honest, our crews' survival depended more on individual action - and luck - than on any planning done on your parts. I'm not made of iron, ma'am- you made me a good offer on my Cataract and so I felt I couldn't turn it down."
"...but you have regrets," Yanim added. "I purchased your ship and your services, but not your souls. If you want to take the money and walk, you can do as you wish, but the Cataract stays with TBC." She looked Sharpe in the eyes with evident sympathy, finding him hesitant to answer.
Sharpe looked to his crew and saw that some of them were scared- they had worked so hard to find a stable source of income and a functional crew, and now, in one fell swoop it was coming unraveled. Sharpe had made a major mistake, selling his own livelihood to a stranger, because it dragged along the fates of his crew members. If he walked away now, then they would lose their captain. They'd lose even more if Gaokah accompanied him, or Rey... Their own dreams were all wrapped up in an enterprise which had been swallowed. But the simple fact remained that Wilson wasn't ready for a business like Terika-Belladonna, and he doubted his crew could handle it either. Then, Gaokah reminded him that not all was lost:
"Captain," she said, "we were paid a fair price for the Cataract. If we take those funds, plus some of our cut of this mercenary job, and pool it all together, we could just buy another ship. Probably a better one, too."
Sharpe's expression changed. Yes, this was it; he could start again, from scratch. His crew would appreciate a return to business as usual, no doubt, and the bond could only get stronger if they were personally invested in the new ship. "Crew, Gaokah is right. And I think we should leave, no matter how good the money is here. We lost Wilson and we nearly lost Rey. All in favor?"
Gaokah, Melody, and Istasha each raised their hands immediately. Johannes and Reece hesitated, both of which knowing they would miss the action of direct combat, but the former was urged on by Istasha and the latter, Melody. They shifted their eyes to Rey, who stood firmly with his hands at his hips, looking implacable. He suddenly burst into a hearty chuckle. "Just kidding," he said, raising his hand. The crew laughed for a moment until they noticed Ravis looking sheepish with his arm at his side.
"I- I'm not going," he stammered in a squeaky, squawky voice. Reece and Melody were shocked, as the three of them had all joined the Cataract at the same time. Unlike Reece, Ravis hadn't seen combat on Voyak, and so it wasn't clear what was causing his trepidation. "None of you grew up out east like I did," he explained, his eyes drifting down to his feet. "The lirya have almost nothing on Vashkom. My whole life, I thought the Collective was just like any other government; I never realized how they were stealing our labor and erasing our heritage until I left it behind. I've known plenty of decent kanads but the Black Fleet's troopers were almost always shitty when I was running their errands for them.
"When we were blowing up those fighters and fighting off that frigate, I felt like I was finally being a part of something big and worthwhile," he said as his ears perked up. "I've never stood up to anyone like that before."
The others didn't really understand, but they accepted it nonetheless. As they stood around for a moment, unhappy with the sudden goodbye, Sharpe suddenly snapped out of it and wondered aloud, "where the hell is Arkadam?" Yanim snapped to attention as well, while Reece explained that he was suffering from a stomach bug and had confined himself to his quarters. "Bullshit," Sharpe insisted. "This is the same excuse he gave back on Voyak. It's like he doesn't want to be seen by you guys," he said offhand to Yanim. Her serious expression told him that, somehow, she already knew who Arkadam was. If only Sharpe had known just how badly the two kanads had derailed each other's lives in the past.
"Bring him out here, please," Yanim said, darkly.
Maddox nodded. "Roger that." He then got up and went to the cargobay, passing by Moloch who was carrying Frosty. Maddox frowned but didn't say anything.
He then walked down the ramp and spotted the Cataract and the Sparrowhawk, as well as the crew of the former.
He walked up next to Yanim and crossed his arms. "Trouble, boss?"
"Alright, thanks for the attention and everything guys, but I should be getting back to working on this ship. Or at least put on something that doesnt have my ass exposed. Alex can you come along with me?" The siblings exited the medbay and started walking back to Amy's room. "Can you fill me in on what happened? The doctor and Markus tried to, but everyone got distracted and I didn't learn much."
"Well, before the away team came back, János was going to retrieve Frosty's body. Instead he came back with some demonic looking hood called Moloch."
"The guy who droped by in medbay?"
"Oh you saw him already? I'll get to that. Molo says that he wanted to take Frosty and his things somewhere to fix him. Captain Yuga has him come on board the ship and orders us to take him down. Keep in mind that meant that the non-combat personel and the master of blunders, Maddox, had to do it. Considering that the guy started shooting flames out of his hands. It would have ended badly. I told people to calm their shit and left the bridge to tend to you."
The got to Amy's door. Once she was inside her room, she started looking for clothes to wear. "So you're using me as an excuse here? Alex, I've seen your fights on the net. You probably faced 4 guys tougher than Moloch. I take it he took Frosty then? The captain must have been mad."
"First off, those were 1 on 1 fights with no chance of anyone else getting maimed. Second of all I just had the bomb of you being blown up dropped on me. Maybe I wasnt thinking straight. But yes. Frosty got taken away. The crew was feeling unrully, so a vote was called for a new captain. Taylor won."
Amy stopped putting on her pants to look at her brother. "You what? I can understand why, but was that the right course of action? You dont sound 100% sure of it."
"The Frosty part I regret in hindsight. The Yuga part, I'm not so sure. Moving on. Next day, we're at it again with the help of some other crew that was hired by Yanim. Only now Rask is at the helm of this mission. You'd have to ask one of them for details, but the ground team make it and we get some random putz named Jason on our crew. Fuck if I know what he does on this ship. But he got the Archive."
Amy put on a hoodie as she turned back to Alex. "So, mission acomplished. What happened to the other snowcone? And what was this attack that happened?"
"He was put on the other crew and we havent seen him since. We did get their medic in exchange since Abraxas left. He didn't say why he left. Not to me at lest. As for the attack. Once we were out of orbit, the Death vigil attacked us. These one's called themselves vultures for some reason. They wanted the Archive, Taylor told them to come and get it, while the ship that carried the Archive got away."
"Vultures? I thought those guys were something the skulls made up to sound more threatening. How did you guys do?"
"Hariim got the worst of it. Poor guy nearly died. The ship was ready to fall apart, but we were saved by Argos. Then another ship that looked like from some old sci-fi novel showed up with Frosty and Moloch on it. Along with a bunch of their race. They let Frosty join back, but only of Moloch did too."
Amy exited her room and motioned for them to walk down the hall towards the messhall."So that's why he's here?"
"Yep. Maddox tried to do something regarding him, going against Taylor's direct orders mind you. You know. Don't try to kill each other."
"What did he do exactly?"
"Bring someone like Moloch near you and Valk in an attempt to jump him and have me as backup aparently. Citing his healing powers so I would come over. He then decided to reveal that he didn't believe in Molo's powers and wanted a live demonstration. Right in fron of me."
"I see where this is going. Anything else?"
"Yuga and Vakarus are now gone. Don't know who will replace them."
"I'll go report for duty then. Where is Taylor anyway?"
Alex pointed towards the bar. "Right there. You know where to find me." He left to tend to his duties in the kitchen. Amy walked over to Taylor. "Amy Koronova reporting for duty, captain."
"Amy Koronova reporting for duty, captain."
Taylor turned around to see Amy standing before her. Wow, the medical droids did a damn good job fixing her up, though burns don't heal that quickly. They probably gave her synthetic skin. "Nice to see you're back amongst the living. Looking pretty great too." she commented, pouring herself another glass of vodka and drinking from it as she looked at Amy. She glanced up to the top of Amy's head. Bald. "Though...uhm...you're lacking a few things you had before."
"Yeah, you can say that. Will look awkward for the next few weeks. Also, congratulations on the new position."
"Thanks, I guess...though its been pretty eh the past two days. Anyway, as Yanim put it, we're grounded for the time being. We're inside the Aurikha's hangar at the moment, so if you want, you can step out and say hi to the boss." she replied.
She took another drink from her glass, then continued. "Oh, and don't forget to send Neasha a list of three things you'd like to have for future stuff. I'm gonna send out a message about it to the rest of the crew, since they weren't all outside when Neasha said anything about it." There was another pause, before Taylor reached back and grabbed the bottle of vodka. She held it out to Amy. "Drink? You just survived an APC explosion, so...yeah. I think its worthy of one."
"It's probably a bad idea since I havent even eaten anything. But fuck it! Not every day do you get to wake up from a coma after an explosion." She grabbed the bottle and poured herself a glass. "Cheers cap."
"Cheers." said Taylor, clacking her glass against Amy's before downing the liquid it still contained.
Amy downed the vodka and could already feel it going through her. Yep. This was a bad idea, but it was worth it. "Hmm, 3 things I will need for the future. That new widow sniper looked nice last time I saw it. Maybe get something to expand my collection and something for the armor." She then realized something else."Fuck, that thing probably got blown to shit didn't it?" She looked at Taylor while pouring another drink. "Anyone here that knows how to build armor?"
"Yeah, Mad could probably build somethin' nice for you. That or could find you something good and do some upgrades to it." said Taylor, shrugging slightly as she drew out her holotablet. A few moments later, she was sending out a message to the rest of the crew about the requests.
Hey guys, Neasha mentioned that we could each request three things for future missions and such. If you haven't already sent her a message about it, might want to do so now.
- T. Caine
"I asked for a power armor rack, a weight bench, and a conversion kit for my revolver so I can change it from kinetic to a railpistol." said Taylor, as she tucked the holotablet away in her pocket. She pulled her revolver out of its holster, and flashed it to Amy before putting it away again.
"Oh Maddox, after what Alex told me, we're gonna have a conversation with him."
Amy got a good look at the revolver and though for a second about the list of items Taylor mentioned. "How far into the process of turning into a tank woman are you?"
Taylor laughed at the question. "About two-thirds of the way there." she said, with a grin. "The power armor rack is just for a place to store my armor and perform maintenance on it. Weight bench is for everyone, but I'll probably be using it the most. Gotta stay in shape." She flexed a bicep as she said it, then continued.
"As for the conversion kit...well, my mom has a revolver that she keeps on her when she's out and about. Its a two shot, revolver-pattern railpistol. I've always liked it, and its really what got me into using revolvers in the first place. If I get the conversion kit, I can convert Victor here into a railpistol like hers." She patted the revolver on her thigh.

Valkyrie strolled through the ship, heading back towards the mess hall, when she recieved the message from Taylor about the three requests. Valk smiled. Time to kick off her drone production. She quickly typed up a list of things she needed.
To: Neasha
From: Valkyrie
Subject: Three requests thing.
Gonna need these three things.
1. A CyberFrame Class IV Automaton Production & Maintenance workbench. Military model.
2. An NatArt Corp Mark 7 Artificial Intelligence & Virtual Intelligence Production Module. (VERY important.)
3. A TatMuse Tattoo Workstation. Fully loaded.
Thanks.
After sending it off, she continues into the mess hall. "Hey Al. Got anything good cooked up? I haven't eaten in days." said Valkyrie, glancing over to see Amy and Taylor talking in the bar nearby as she approached the kitchen.
"All agents, Gold Eagle is enroute to the stage. We're going live in five. Keep your eyes peeled." Dara looked at Callahan who nodded. "Understood Overlord, Wolf Actual acknowledges."
She did a quick gesture with her hand, ordering the agents to form up on her. The agents quickly formed a human wall facing towards the door leading out onto the stage.
Behind them civilian staff and other SSOID agents were working hard to keep everything on track and on schedule.
Suddenly one of the rear doors opened and out came High Councilor Wayford and his trusted right hand, Administrator Keith Vale, flanked by four SIG honorguards wearing ceremonial armors. Even though the armors appeared to be stiff and clumsy Dara knew that they were just as flexible as the combat armor worn by SSOID agents.
She walked up to Wayford and Vale, shaking their hands. "High Councilor, administrator."
Wayford smiled and shook her hand. "Good to see you agent Vega." Dara smiled and nodded. "Likewise sir and it's specialist now."
The high councilor smiled even bigger. "Congratulations are in order then!"
"Thank you, sir." She turned to face Vale who was smiling as well. "Good to see you Vega, congratulations on the promotion. It feels good to know that a team of the best will stand with us today."
Dara nodded and gestured towards the formation of agents. "The honor is mine. Now please, allow my team and I to escort you out."
As Wayford, Vale and their honorguards joined the agents Vega turned on her mic. "Wolf Actual to Overlord, Gold Eagle is in position and we're ready to move."
"Roger, move when ready. All agents, Gold Eagle is entering the stage."
"Let's go." Said Vega, prompting the agents to move. Two SSOID agents standing at the doors opened up, filling the backstage room with sunlight. "Here we go." Said Vega to Callahan.
As soon as the group stepped out onto the stage the massive crowd released a near-deafening cheer while waving thousands of tiny Sol flags. A row of SDF army troopers in heavy gear acted as the first line of defense for the stage and were backed up by pairs of SSOID agents patrolling the area.
A shield generator underneath the stage projected a small energy shield around the stage which was designed to stop projectiles. Up in the sky SISP adeptors patrolled, making sure that there were no aerial threats.
Wayford and Vale smiled and waved as they greeted the crowd. After all, it was Remembrance Day. The day when Sol citizens celebrated the memory of all those who had fallen in SDF service. Each year Remembrance Day was the same; public speeches in Terranos followed by parades and then a quiet hour coupled with a gathering at the Valley of Heroes.
Each year the massive event was experienced by billions, of which a small portion consisted of leaders from other states as well as non-Sol citizens honoring the memory of a long lost ancestors.
As Wayford and Vale stepped up on the stage Dara and her team spread out on the sides. Dara was standing to the left of Wayford while Callahan was standing to the right of Vale. Behind Vega and Callahan were several notable councilors, military officers and other functionaries. Lord General Kaspar Cross and Lord Admiral Viktor Zhaneys were both present.
Wayford smiled and grabbed his mic. "Hello Sol! Hello brothers and sisters, mothers and fathers and sons and daughters!"
"Hello!" Responded the crowd in unison.
"Today we have gathered here to celebrate the memory of those who are unfortunately no longer with us." Wayford's smile faded. "War is a horrible thing and man or woman should ever have to experience the loss of a significant other. However, it is important to remember that those who have left us did so with honor and dignity. Ever since the Unification the proud men and women of the SDF have worked hard to keep us and many others safe."
Wayford did a quick salute towards a group of off-duty soldiers in uniform standing in the crowd. "It is with pride that I recognize, just as I hope that you do as well, our brave soldiers as family. Especially those who did the ultimate sacrifice in the name of peace."
The high councilor sighed. "It saddens me to know that many of our loved ones will have to return to the frontlines soon, for our enemies are advancing rapidly and without mercy. Let us hope that the SDF delivers quick justice and restore the peace once more!"
Many people in the crowd nodded and cheered. Others observed their loved ones in uniform.
As Wayford delivered his speech Vega was busy observing the crowd for anything or anyone suspicious. She spotted a pale man in a hood. He had a rough and unshaven look and wore shades over his eyes. His appearance didn't make him stand out but the fact that he never cheered or smiled.
Vega disregarded the thought. He could very well be a homeless veteran, something still too common for her taste. She continued to scan the crowd and stopped again. Another hooded figure. He too wore shades and appeared to have a backpack. Her eyes went back to the first man and Vega noticed that he was carrying a large utility shoulder bag.
Before she could contemplate on this further, she saw a third man in the corner of her eye. Hood. Shades. Backpack. Slowly Vega felt sick, it was her gut. She glanced towards Callahan who noticed her agitated expression. "Overlord this is Wolf Actual. Gold Eagle compromised. Multiple unknowns in the crowd. We need to go now."
Up in the sky a SISP drone scanned the crowd. It descended and positioned itself above it.
"Negative Wolf Actual, we're not seeing any immeadiate threats. Hold your position. We've dispatched agents to search the crowd."
Vega was getting frustrated. "That's a no-go Overlord, there are multiple threats inside the crowd. Use your damn drone!" She barked quietly. Kaspar glanced towards her and Callahan moved his hand towards his holster.
"Wolf Actual we have no drones in the area."
Dara widened her eyes as she realized what was wrong. The hooded man with the beard grinned. He removed his sunglasses, revealing glowing eyes as red as a star. His skin started to glow the same.
Vega unholstered her weapon and rushed forward. She looked at Callahan. "Grab Vale!"
Then everything went to hell. The hooded men filled with N-X exploded, killing large groups of the crowd. Men, women and children yelled as the immense heat and shockwaves burned some of them to crisps.
Suddenly the drone deployed a machinegun and aimed towards the stage.
In a matter of seconds the SIG honorguards jumped infront of Wayford and Vale, getting completely shredded by the heavy machinegun fire which went right through the shield. Below the stage the SDF army troopers sprung into action, ordering people to hit the ground. One of the soldiers brought down the drone with a precise shot but was then riddled with laser shots.
Through the smoke came more hodded figures carrying military-grade weapons. One of them launched a grenade, sending four of the troopers flying like ragdolls.
Callahan moved in to cover Vale while Vega did the same to Wayford. "Stay behind us!" Behind them the other agents took aim with pistols and sub machineguns and began to open fire. They were joined by the Lord General who kneeled down and took aim with his own personalized kinetic handcannon.
Laser projectiles began to seek their way towards the stage, killing many of the unarmored agents who wore compact vests underneath their suits. Some of the functionaries were also hit and collapsed on the stage.
Vega continued to move backwards while firing on the enemies below. She had just killed one of them when she noticed that one of the militants was kneeling behind one of his dead comrades. In his hands was a large marksman rifle. He grinned and pulled the trigger, sending a shot flying towards Callahan.
The agent cried out as the shot hit him and pierced his left shoulder.
Wayford suddenly tried to escape from Dara's grip. "No!" He yelled. Vega looked towards Callahan who was still shooting even though smoke was coming out of the hole in his shoulder. Behind him was the administrator, he had a hole right where his heart should be.
"Vale is down!" Yelled Vega. Zhaneys appeared next to her, holding a SMG from one of the fallen agents. He fired a short burst and downed the enemy marksman.
Suddenly several SSFD soldiers stormed up onto the stage and formed a wall around those who were still standing. Above three SDF Hawk VTOLs were hovering over the scene.
Vega took a deep breath and sighed. All the enemy combatants had been killed and the gunfire had died down. The sound of people crying, trying to wake one of their loved ones, echoed across the square.
Dara moved over to Vale who was being tended by a SSFD medic. Wayford held his left hand tighlty. "Stay with me Keith! You can't die! What I am going to tell Suzanne?"
Even though he was dying Keith chuckled. "Don't worry Quint, you'll figure something out. You always do."He coughed and gasped for air. "That's why the people follow you." Vale then stopped breathing.
Wayford grabbed his friend and colleague by the shoulders and shook him. "Keith? Keith!" He turned towards the medic. "Restart his heart! Now!"
The medic nodded, even though he knew, like everyone else, that Vale was gone. He unpacked his defibrilators and charged them up.
"Charging at threehundred. Clear!"
Vale's body began to spasm as electricity flowed throughout. The medic held two fingers against his neck. "No pulse!" He looked at Wayford who nodded.
"Charging, fivehundred. Clear!"
Again, no result. The medic was about to do it a third time when Kaspar stopped him. Wayford was about to say something when the lord general put his hand on his shoulder. "I'm sorry Quint, but he's gone. There's nothing we can do."
Cross turned towards the squad leader of the SSFD team. "Radio in for evac and get some more medics in here, there's alot of wounded that needs tending."
"Yes sir!" Replied the soldier.
Vega sat next to Callahan, keeping pressure on the biofoam which had been used to cover his wound. None of them said anything. They simply looked on as the SSFD medic covered Vale's face.
Sol had paid a heavy price this day.
Markus had been going around his cabin and setting things into place after the gravity had been restored .
That clever bitch had seemingly blamed it on technical faults cause the ships was so fucked up, since the Captain hadn't berated her more for it. Dodgy fucker.
With everything in place he heard his communicator pinged.
Three free items huh? might as well get something now that it was offered.

"Excited to kill those guys and beat them with style. One of those 'OOOOOOOOOOH GOTTEM' kind of deal, y'know?" Amelia relaxes in her seat. She never pays much attention to Bucky, as the show is too tense and awesome for her taste. A great time to be had stuffing pocket noodles down her throat.

"The fuck happened to Frosty that he needs ice?Did you guys have a fight?" Alex said as he tossed a bag of ice to Moloch

Bucky chuckles mirthfully. Over the next few episodes she scooches a little closer to Amelia and gets cozy next to her chair. She doesn't do much more, she's mainly seeing how Amelia will react. Having developed as she has, Bucky enjoys working with humans and other humanoids. Her brain was built to mimic the function and form of the human mind while still maintaining that crucial "outsider" angle that makes her model range so good at their intended purpose. In essence, she enjoys watching human action and reaction to both herself and the world around them. In particular, little nerdy sorts like Amelia. They're interesting nuts to crack.
Amelia looks at Bucky as the show ended on episode 3 and immediately noticed that Bucky had moved three feet from her original position and is now in much closer proximity to Amelia.
Amelia analyses the situation as follows: The possible reasons could be 1) the show was so intense that she subconsciously moved closer to another interactible intelligent lifeform in order to percieve some comfort. 2) Bucky simply wanted to see the screen easier. 3) Bucky is intentionally moving closer to her and is trying to make a quick move in an effort to either a) make Amelia uncomfortable, or b) Honestly trying to make this more than a friendship. This is the most likely, taking into account Bucky's wiggly hips earlier.
The next course of action Amelia took was to whether or not confirm such an action, "Getting a little close there, eh, Bucky?" she looks at Bucky, one eyebrow raised.
Bucky shrugged. "Just getting a better angle for the screen, Amelia. What's up?" She replies, turning her head to look at Amelia with a quizzical expression and a slight smile.
Inwardly she mentally chuckles. Funny reaction, defensive as nerdy types usually get, but in a friendly way most don't have the wherewithal to perform. Outwardly, Bucky seems genuinely unawares.
"He tried to kill you?" Alex said as he looked at Moloch suspiciously.
"Yes. I found him hiding beneath several boxes in the cargo bay, and I tried speaking to him in order to make him relax. However he wouldn't have any of it, so he responded by attacking me."
