Race: Human
Profession: Engineer
Bio: Born on the Jewish colony of Kahmerash in the city of New Bethlehem, Aaron served in the army as a mechanic at a motor pool repairing mechs and vehicles. After his mandatory 3 year conscription period, he moved off world and wanted more job experience and money.

I'm ashamed that you didn't make him a merchant
___________
Ahaz walks off the ship, looking for alcohol. He asks a passing crewmember, "Hey, do you know where I can buy some whiskey?" The crewmember looks at the smelly man who is in ragged clothes and said, "Sorry, no."
He walks off and calls security on Ahaz.
"Thank you, Chef." spoke Moloch one last time before heading out to tend to Frosty...
...Only to discover his cabin door was locked.
Not wanting to have his nose broken a second time, he sulked back into the mess hall, this time sitting down at a table all by himself and pulling a book out of his coat that he wanted to read.
"Glad to see someone here who has good relationship with their parents."
"Probably because she'd kick my ass if I didn't." said Taylor, with a chuckle. "Ever heard of 'Mad Dog' Miranda Caine? The bounty hunter? That's my mother." She poured herself another glass of vodka.
She heard Moloch and Alex talking in the mess hall, but couldn't make out what exactly they were talking about. Something about ice.
- - - - - - - - -
Valkyrie gave Alex a thumbs up, then found somewhere to sit in the mess hall. She pulled out her holotablet, and began reading through the news and other stuff she was into on the galactic web. She noticed up in the corner that she had messages after a few moments, so she checked them and found Hariim had sent her the information about her new cybernetic implants...and something about a 'Culture' or something. What is this, the cyborg Illuminati? She rolled her eyes, and started to read through the information.
Amy looked at Taylor with amazemend. "Holly shit! No way! Mad dog is your mom? How did I not make the connection untill now? Holly shit!" She realized she was sounding like a tween girl meeting her boyband crush, so she tried to regain some composure. "Sorry. Your mom was kind of a legend we talked about back with the Sisters."
The Culture is a far cry from any insidious secret underground society. Rather, as Valkyrie reads on she learns that the Culture and the interests of the powers-that-be are mutually exclusive. The Culture is by cyborgs and AI, for cyborgs and AI. It concerns itself with finding and uniting augmented and artificial peoples in the interest of increasing their own intellectual and cultural diversity. They mean to create a place where all technological beings can be among their own people, explore the extent of their capabilities, or just sit in virtual space to relax.
Some 'borgs of the Culture are like Hariim, others are even more augmented than him. Some are AI either bound in mainframes or android bodies. Whatever they are, they are Culture first; all other denominations are secondary. New cyborgs are of particular interest to them, for new cyborgs can have difficulty fitting into societies not made for them, not considerate of them. The place of the Culture is to provide that place where cyborgs and AI can have a place to call their own. The cyber-tome is vague on just "where" this Culture is though.
To a pirate like Valkyrie this all could be extremely useful. Nothing anywhere in the tome says that the Culture is all that particular about who they permit, or what its members do. In fact, she might find herself a number of interesting individuals or pieces of information....
After seeing Valk leave and then returns, Jason sighs and just remain standing before going to where Taylor was, he tapped her lightly in the shoulder
"Mind if i join you?"
Taylor smiled, before pulling out her holotablet and switching it on. She pulled up a picture, and handed the tablet to Amy so she could look at it. The picture was of Taylor, in her SDF Auxiliary dress uniform, with Miranda. Taylor was grinning brightly, while Miranda bore a warm smile. "I'll introduce you to her next time I talk to her." she said, before looking around when Jason tapped her on the shoulder. "Sure. Grab a seat."
- - - - - - - -
Valk read through the information, thinking it over as she read. So its like a little club for cyborgs and AI...could be interesting. And she had plenty to gain from it to use for her own purposes. She grinned.
Hariim is just a call away. The information he's provided Valkyrie with doesn't detail how to get into contact with the Culture or where to find them. Hariim ought to know for sure though....
((Aaron is welcome to join the crew as a former Sparrowhawk employee, just like Jason. The Sparrowhawk is also parked in the Aurikha's hangars now.))
He walked up next to Yanim and crossed his arms. "Trouble, boss?"
Yanim shook her head. "Probably not, but I just need to make sure..." A moment later, Reece emerged from the Cataract practically dragging Aurikha by his ear.
"Ow, ow! Please!" the former SS agent pleaded, slapping at the human's arm. Seeing Yanim looming at the end of the landing ramp, he yelped and pulled away, tripping over his own feet and falling off the ramp.
"What's going on?" Sharpe demanded as Arkadam picked himself off the floor. He was skinnier than the last time Yanim had seen him, and his hair was wild and unkempt. His clothes were shabby and his hands unsteady. Yanim walked over, half-curious and half-scornful and jerked him the rest of the way up by his collar.
"This is the third time I've met this piece of shit by accident. How many billions of kanads are out there right now, and I run into you three times."
"I'm sorry!?" Arkadam squeaked as she shook him vigorously.
"You must have planned this somehow," Yanim told him, nose to nose, "because these sorts of things happen only by design."
"How could I have known!?" he pleaded, "I was doing just fine and then you bought my ship out of nowhere- did you even ask for a crew manifest? It's not my fault that-"
"Just because I don't know the mechanism of the deceit doesn't mean there isn't one-"
"-one what?"
"A conspiracy!" Yanim yelled, appearing suddenly paranoid beyond comprehension. Sharpe and Maddox stood by in confused inaction as the scene unfolded. "Who brought you onto the Cataract!? Was the SS involved!? Such lust for anguish! Whoooooo!?"
Arkadam blinked. "W- Wilson!"
"Gah!" Yanim spat, shoving him away. Of course it's the dead guy. No answers.
Sharpe stepped in, blocking Yanim from abusing Arkadam any further. "This is ridiculous, Terika. I don't know what the hell's between you two but there's no Illuminati conspiracy or whatever shit you think is happening here."
"...Illuminati?" Yanim repeated, making a mental note to look the word up so as to know what the captain was talking about. She shook her head. "I'm putting him in the brig. If you were in my position you wouldn't take any chances."
Sharpe groaned. After a moment, he turned to Arkadam. "I don't know what you did, son, but you must have fucked up. As much as it pains me to say it," he said, looking over toward the Muramasa with its much better-equipped crew, "I think you're shit out of luck."
"No," Arkadam begged. "Yanim, I never wanted to cross paths with you again, I swear. I wanted to hide out on the ship until we landed somewhere safe, and then just quit my job."
Yanim shook her head and summoned a few of the melora to come drag Arkadam away to the Aurikha's brig, but suddenly there was another commotion even further down the hangar bay. "Another ship?" Yanim wondered aloud. "We weren't expecting another one, were we?" She asked Constantine, who had walked over in response to the earlier yelling. Constantine shrugged.
Suddenly, another set of hanger bay doors on the Aurikha open up and an unfamiliar shuttle craft glides in, interrupting whatever much less interesting stuff was going on at the moment.
The TBC crew exchange nervous glances as the shuttle's engine goes silent and a massive and impractical DeLorean-style wing door opens up, dumping a thick carpet of fog into the hangar and letting out some dramatic rock music. A tall, muscular man steps out. He's wearing an unnecessarily dark-tinted space helmet.
No wait he took it off. But he's standing in a weird shadow that's covering the top half of his face. You can only see his mouth as he does one of those really slow smiles like "Yeah, you know. You know who it is." He says something but you can't hear him over that fucking music jesus. Someone motions to him to turn it down. He clicks a keyfob and the music cuts out abruptly leaving a deafening silence.
Sledge steps forward out of the shadow and squints awkwardly as the light hits his eyes. He regains composure as Hercules sticks his big dinosaur head out the open driver-side door before stepping out. Fog is still pouring out of the shuttle and dockworkers are starting to get concerned. Sledge has to tell everyone to hold on a sec while he figures out how to stop the fog. He fumbles with it for a few seconds before giving up and just shutting the shuttle door.
"Sup?" he asks, to no one in particular.
"How did you-" Yanim sputtered, looking back at the Muramasa, "I thought you were with them!"
"Nah I've been gone for days. Didn't you get my comm? I think the subject line was... 'Vision Quest'."
"Sledge I get a dozen equally asinine messages from you daily and I read none of them. In fact--"
"Wait," Sledge interrupted, "Hold that thought because I have a surprise for you that's gonna make it all better." He walked excitedly towards the back of the shuttle before turning around again. "Alright Yanim, who was your favorite crew member from the good-old Archius days?"
"Iska?" Yanim asked, confused.
Sledge froze briefly. "Okay... who was your second favorite?"
"Varn...?" she replied, a little sadness creeping into her voice.
"Alright uh..." Sledge struggled to think of something to say when suddenly the shuttle craft rocked hard to one side with a loud pounding sound. "Uhhh... well let's just call him a fan favorite." Sledge crossed towards the storage trunk of the shuttle and began to open it.
"Reintroducing: Sq--" Sledge was cut off as the back of the shuttle exploded open and the absolutely massive humanoid creature from inside knocked him to the ground. Dockworker status: distressed. Sledge got back up and attempted to placate the creature only to be grabbed and lifted by his own face and thrown into the gaping hole in the back of the shuttle.
Having taken out the trash, the creature stepped forward out of the shadows, facing the crowd.
The creature now in plain sight looked massive and green. The best way to describe him was bigger than Sledge. He took out a pair of glasses from his torn khakis and put them on. He then looked around and saw a few familiar faces.
(In his Squish voice) "Oooh, how is it going guys? Its been a while. Does anyone know where I can get some nasal spray? I hope this fog doesn't affect my allergies.

Name: Squish (Squash)
Picture or Physical Description: Below
Birthdate: Star date 2352, moon phase 3
Race:Feeblian
Profession: Biologist
Bio: Hunches down and throws slaps randomly in the air at the mere sight of danger. He was an exceptionally frail Feeblian born on the planet Meek. Like all Feeblians, they study life, but at a distance. They have exceptional allergies and cannot stand being among plant life too long. It is the Feeblian dream to one day overcome their severe allergies and walk among nature. Their race might one day become strong after several generations that create habitats and thrive in nature. Squish aspires to one day find a way to relieve the Feeblian race of this curse, so he set out to study the many different life forms of other planets. During his adventures aboard the Archius, he fought a giant mutated tomato. With the untimely giant tomato's end, Squish gathered its remains to be studied and analyzed. After a few days, Squish was able to extract the mutagen. With no other test subjects, he tested the serum on himself. There was catastrophic consequences. He had grown massive in proportions. The mutated Squish retreated into the artificial jungle in the ship. He was shortly captured by a mean robot. The crew decided to throw him into the holding cells until he reverted back to normal. Without Squish's equipment, no change would come.
Special Skills or Attributes:Can hulk out in combat.

"It's Squish!" Sledge pulled himself back out from the back of the ship and strode up next to the green giant. He didn't seem the least bit mad about any of what just happened.
"Funny story: After me and Hercules reunited on Prospera, we decided to have a little impromptu fiesta at the local Mexican joint. Lemme tell ya, a'int nobody know Mexican food like the Italian mafiosos. While I was there, I had a vision. Well, actually, I had the guacamole but the vision was because of that. I'm looking at this big bowl of green goo and I had this gross flashback to when Squish shot up 100ccs of mutant Ragu and went ape on me. I repressed the hell out of that memory because I was worried it would ruin guacamole for me forever.
So I'm eating this guac and I realize we kinda threw this big guy in the brig of a ship that we later crashed on a planet that later exploded. Oops. And Squish was never heard from again. Except for all over the internet. Apparently some of the human soldiers who survived Zaruel lived to tell the tail of this hulking, near-invincible mean green machine that kept biting everyone. According to the legend they used their last unbitten man as bait to lure the beast into the brig of their ship hoping to sell him to Sol's highest bidding freak show collector. The ship made it about two hours before depressurizing mysteriously and having to make an emergency landing on a nearby uninhabited jungle planet. There Squish survived on a steady diet of absolutely everything while the soldiers patched up the punch-holes and ditched him. Good old Squish here raised the danger rating of the planet by three grades just by himself.
By following the clues I found the planet. By following the wake of destruction, I found Squish. We fought on a mountain for twelve straight hours. And I tamed his inner beast by exploiting his one weakness: No matter how much he bit me, I wouldn't die. He regained his senses and deflated back to his original scrawny self. Now he can go ham at will. Also sometimes it just happens when you annoy him. Gotta be careful when that happens. He bites. A lot.
After that we picked up some biology supplies for Squish (and a fog machine for me) and headed back to meet up with you guys so he can join the crew!
What do you say, Yanim?"
"Fuck off," she growled. "He was useless on the Archius mission. Come to think of it, if you weren't on the Muramasa on the Voyak job then you owe me 120 million credits, and you're fired."
"Oh. Wow okay this is not how I expected this to go at all.
Tell you what, why don't we all take five, I'll pull the shuttlecraft around again, and we'll do this over the right way where you're super stoked to have me and Squish and our billion credits back."
Yanim rubbed her temples and sighed. Sledge's sudden appearance had almost made her forget about the Cataract crew, and Arkadam especially. Reexamining her behavior, she realized she had probably overreacted a little bit... nothing a bit of retroactive accounting couldn't fix, right? She silently wished she had waited another day before having her epiphany. "Alright, listen. You aren't fired, Sledge. Just transfer over the money we sent you for the Voyak mission because you didn't earn it." She then paused, his words finally hitting her. "Wait a minute, how the hell do you have a billion credits? Is that how much Saw paid you two years ago? Because if that's it, that's bullshit. You definitely don't deserve that."
Jason took a seat besides Taylor and asks her an important question.
"So Taylor, Since Yuga and Vakarus are gone and you took over as Captain. Who's gonna run as Navigator?

"Yeah that's how much he paid everybody. I buried mine in an asteroid so it would appreciate in value over time but I think I got ripped off because I didn't make a dime."
[editline]11th November 2016[/editline]
(( Good to be back but I really gotta go to bed. I'll be on tomorrow. :) ))
"So Taylor, since Yuga and Vakarus are gone and you took over as Captain, who's gonna run as Navigator?
"Eh, I'll ask the boss about it later and we'll figure something out." said Taylor, glancing over at him and drinking from her glass.
Maddox stood next to Yanim and after shaking his head he burst out into a uncontrollable wave of laughter.
"Out of all the things I've seen, but you two-" he pointed at Hercules "-three take the prize."
He turned to Yanim. "Anyway, I wanted to ask for your permission to construct a wardrone. I got the tools, blueprints and materials. Just need the green light from you."
Amy looks at the holopad. Wow, they look like a great family together.
I'll introduce you to her next time I talk to her.
"That would be wonderfull. I have to admit, I'm a bit jealous. Not because she's your mom, but because you have a mom. A parent in general who cares. Me and Alex have dad. And you've probably seen the news surrounding him." She noticed Jason. "Oh hello, don't think we've met. I'm Amy." She extended a hand to him.
"That would be wonderful. I have to admit, I'm a bit jealous. Not because she's your mom, but because you have a mom. A parent in general who cares. Me and Alex have dad. And you've probably seen the news surrounding him."
"Yeah...Divinity Creed." said Taylor, taking her holotablet back as she looked down into her glass. Which was empty now. Eh, she was done for now. She was buzzed, so she was feeling a lot better than earlier. Should probably stop before she goes through multiple bottles and ends up wasted somewhere on the ship. She sets the glass on the bar behind her, then stands. "I'm gonna head outside and see what Yanim and the others are up to. Catch you later." she said, waving a hand over her shoulder as she started to walk out of the bar area. She paused briefly, looking back at Amy. "Oh, and check your bank account. I'm sure you'll love the sight of it." After that, she continued on out.
She stopped in the mess hall, looking between Moloch and Valk, before heading over to the kitchen. "Hey, Alex..." she said, stepping inside where he was. "...what was Moloch asking for ice for?"
Jason notices Amy and puts out his right hand and shook hands
"The name's Jason. Nice to meet you. Amy"
Hey, Alex...what was Moloch asking for ice for?
Alex turned around to face his captain. "He said that Frosty attacked him. And that he had to knock him out to defend himself. The ice was for Frosty." Alex crossed his arms. "I don't trust him one bit, but the way Frosty looked after it was announced that Moloch would be joining us...I don't know if we can discount that as a posibility."
---
"So you're Jason. What do you do exactly?"
"Try to find a good conversation to land on. Shoot bad guys and helping people. and you ma'am. caught my attention"
"For the past 2 days. Stay in a coma. But I actually handle scouting, reconisance, infilatration and shooting guys and galls from afar."
"Ah. more into Sniping huh? I handle Assault and flanking. Looks like we're gonna be a one hell of a tag team once we have a mission again."
"Just don't do anything stipid and I'll have your ass covered."
"Oh come on. I'll have your six covered as well. I think you should get some food now that your awake. but i can get it for you if you want to."
"Easy there Lancelot. The fair maiden can take care of herself. Not that I don't apreciate the gesture. Besides, you can smell the food being almost done."
"I don't trust him one bit, but the way Frosty looked after it was announced that Moloch would be joining us...I don't know if we can discount that as a possibility."
"Yeah...honestly, as much as I don't trust Moloch, I don't doubt that Frosty attacked him. He's not taking any of this well, and he looked like he'd try to hurt someone when I last spoke to him. That's why I confined him to his quarters for the time being till he calmed down. I'll check on him in a bit. Gonna head out to see what Yanim and the others outside are up to." said Taylor, before turning and heading out of the kitchen. She strolled through the mess hall, looking over at Moloch when she passed. The continued through the ship, then out into the hangar.
She looked around, and that's when she noticed the other ships had arrived...as well as another ship. Yanim and Maddox were talking to Sledge, as well as a big, green...thing. What the hell? She walked down to them, passing the crews of the Cataract and Sparrowhawk (giving each a short, simple salute), before arriving next to Yanim and Maddox.
"Nice to see you back, Sledge!" she commented, before looking over at Yanim. "What's up, boss? Who's the green guy?"
- - - - - - - -
Valk decided to play along with Hariim's offer. She sent him a message on her holotablet.
You've got me interested. Think you can teach me how this fucking hunk of metal in my head works?
- Valkyrie
After sending the message, she decided to take a moment to check her credit balance. She remembered that they had finished the job on Voyak and likely got paid for it. When she opened her account and saw the balance, her eyes widened a bit. "120 million credits? Holy fuck." she said, surprised. Then, a moment later, the surprised expression turned into one hell of a sly grin. She knew exactly what to spend it on, if Neasha comes through with the requests she made.
