Muramasa, this is Winged Vigilance; we're with Argos. That dreadnought that just came out of warp... it isn't ours. We're working on establishing contact with them now. We're going to use the tractor beams to pull you in to the cargo bay where we have medical staff on standby to receive you.
There was a gentle tug as the ship began to move toward the Vigilance, and everyone not currently secured to the floor began to slide to the opposite wall. The voice on the comm seemed calm enough, as someone else on the bridge was clearly handling the situation with the unknowns.
They seem interested in providing your ship additional assistance. They're welcome to send a repair crew over of you consent, Captain Caine.
They've have my permission if they want to help. I'll inform the others of what's happening. Caine, out." she said, before taking another look at her oxygen meter as she held onto the chair. "1.5%...this is gonna suck." she muttered finally, before flicking off comms and floating back towards the armory.
This was odd. Moloch expected to hear Yuga's voice instead of Taylor's. But hearing her declare herself captain was a relief as it meant this time he wouldn't get jumped. Though, he was indeed curious as to what made Yuga no longer the captain. He was thinking of informing Frosty of this before his thoughts were interrupted by one of his bridge crew asking him if they should send several of their repairmen over to fix the Muramasa. "Send them. And make sure they have no insignias on their suits, as well as their faces covered."
Alex sheeted the sword back into place after his lapse in judgement turned out lucky for him. He was sure if a repeat of that wouldnt be smart, but then again, swinging an actual sword around felt nostalgic in a way. He looked around the armory and the carnage that was everywhere. Maybe it was good that he waited as long as he did. One stray shot could have ended it all. He floated over to where the crew had stored enviromental protection gear and put on a mask so he could breathe. He took some of the oxigen tanks and masks and started to float them over to the training room where the wounded and other were. "Mercy. Amelia. Open the door and grab a mask. Help the others." He listened carefully as he heard some of the would be attackers grunt in pain. They werent dead, but near it. Still, this gave the chef an idea. "János. What do you think? Any of these guys capable of getting interogated by you?"
Relieved that the fight was over, Maddox went to secure the ship. Inside the armory was wounded Vulture gasping for air. Maddox grabbed onto him and inspected his wounds. Deep wounds caused by, presumbly, Jag and multiple shots from one of the MAWS guns. He was not going to survive. The DV merc stared at Maddox as he pulled out his gun. Mad placed the gun towards the heart and looked the merc into his eyes. The merc nodded. Suddenly a gunshot echoed throughout the room. Maddox holstered his weapon. "Armory has been secured."
Taylor arrived a few moments later back in the armory, just in time to see Mad's show of chivalry before executing the DV merc before him. She raised an eyebrow, and shook her head. Showing mercs like the Death Vigil honor? In her book, they deserved none. She looked around at the others, then at the debris floating through the air. She spotted a role of military-grade duct tape, then floated over and took it. Good. "We're being towed into the hangar of an Argos ship. The 'Winged Vigilance.' Prep the wounded for transport by medical team once we're aboard. Someone come over here for a second and seal up this hole on my armor. I'm leaking O2 like crazy." she said, before stepping over and grabbing one of the emergency tanks of oxygen. She needed just a bit. Around 10% or 15% and she'd be set. She opened up a port on her side, then attached one of the hoses on the tank to the port. She held up the tape so anyone could take it. "Engine room, you guys alright? We're being towed into an Argos ship for repairs and medical treatment." she said over her comms, checking on the engine room team.
Jason nodded back to Taylor and took aim at the wounded DV Merc. while doing so, he floated where the training room door is, the recoil of firing the MAWS will propel Jason to the training room. Jason then felt the shortage of air in the room, he briefly lowered his weapon and tugged at his collar to relieve his throat from short air then took aim again. "Okay, let's end this. Shall we?" Jason however got the first shot, Killing the merc with sheer brutality. and the recoil led him to the training room where the others are. "Anyone has Oxygen masks in here? because I definitely need one."
Alex looked at Mad and Jason. "You know. I would have waited for the expert in interogation to chime in before you put bullets into their brains. Because we dont actually know anything about these guys. Just a though." He floated over to Taylor and took the tape. "So, I joined late for that party. Any idea who the big guy was?" he asked as he applied the tape.
Ahaz woke up when he started to have trouble breathing. He quickly tried to sit up from his bed of rags and the movement pushed him off, leaving him floating. Ahaz cursed and managed to get himself to the door. Breathing was slowly becoming harder for him and he looked back at the bottles of alcohol floating in midair. I'll come back for you, he silently promised a particularly choice bottle of whiskey before he opened the door. Out in the hallway, he heard sounds from the armory. Guess that's a good place to go. As he made his way to the armory slowly, breathing got harder and harder to the point when he pushed the button to open the door to the armory, he was about to pass out. He floated through the door and saw Taylor. He tried to greet her but it was too hard for him to breathe. He passed out silently, a smelly wreck of a once competent bartender.
Using the moment of disarray to it's advantage, Jag was able to pummel the Heavily armored vulture into submission. Savagely beating down the mercenary to an itch of his life. Carefully, Jag made sure the vulture was still alive but was fully incapacitated for further inquiry. Once Jag was certain the merc was unconscious, it's swiftly turned it's glaze over towards Taylor. "Target secured, orders Captain Taylor?" Jag asked while holding guard over it's captive.
"Well, I'm just glad that's over. for a minute there, I though we were gonna die. but luck decided we can live another day." Jason replied to Alex with a face of relief, as the fighting is already over however, Jason turns to Taylor to ask a question "Wait, I'm feeling we missed someone."
Taylor looked up to watch Jag pummel the heavy DV grunt into submission, then look to her for orders.
"Target secured, orders Captain Taylor?"
"János can deal with him. Check on the engine room team." she replied. She then noticed the door open, and Ahaz collapse shortly afterwards. Where the hell had he been this entire time? Jason spoke up a few moments later.
"Wait, I'm feeling we missed someone."
"Yeah. Him. Get him a oxygen mask before he turns blue." she said, pointing Ahaz out.
"Okay fella, just hold on there." Jason pulls Ahaz's arm and puts around his neck then floated to where the oxygen masks are, Jason grabs one then puts it on Ahaz and securing the straps of the mask. "And.. There we are. how are you feeling?"
Maddox looked at Alex and nodded towards the merc he just put to rest. "This one wasn't going to talk. He was minutes away from dying either way." He floated over to Taylor and began to seal up her suit. "You okay captain?"
"Understood, Captain Taylor." Jag muttered, taking a stare down at the vulture a second later. Quickly, Jag used a pair of wraps to cuff his legs and arms together to keep him locked in place before using it's arm to carefully cut out the neuro systems and collar devices located on his helmet. While it latter would most assuredly did some permanent damage to his senses, it would help in the prevention of any self termination attempts later. Jag motioned towards János, "Enforcer János, have our guest checked for any suicide devices. This is one is in your hands now." Jag said over towards the synthetic, Jag then departed from the armory, heading to the engineering section of the Muramasa. The Sanghvi moved about the zero gravity with a natural elegance. Using the other quick cerement canister to get any cracks or scars stable while it flew through the dark corridors of the ship.
"The hell he wasnt. Skull boys are really talkative even right before death. You promise them a quick one and they will spill their guts." He said as he ripped another part of the tape to apply. "Dont ask how I know that. Still. We got tin man over there. So maybe we can get something out of him."
Maddox nodded. "Do you know if we suffered any casualties?"
"No idea. Best go check on engineering." He said as he applied the last bit of tape on Taylor's armor. "There. That should hold up." He motioned to Maddox. "Come on. Lets see if the others are fine."
Maddox kept his rifle close by incase there were any threats lurking. "I'll lead the way." The soldier then made his way towards engineering. "Koval! You okay?"
After checking her systems, Hestia exits the safe room behind the armory. Leaving to attend any wounded during the firefight. Her scanners show that Hariim is in dire need of medical attention, as such. Hestia quickly makes way towards engineering, unitizing her built in thrusters to traverse the low gravity environment effortless. After arrived at the section, hastily trying to assess Hariim's injuries. She quickly injected the damaged cyborg with a mix of natines and chemicals to keep him stable while she closely examined his condition there.
Jason recollect all the members that are currently inside the training room, and stops to see that 3 crew members where missing from the training room. Jason then goes out of the training room and makes his way to the hallway where he meets Jag "Jag, here for the same reason too?"
The Sanghvi turned it's sights over towards Jason, the mercenary from Sirgas. "If you inquiring about my orders to check the status of the crew members down within engineering. Then you would be correct, Freelancer Jason." Jag said dryly with it's mechanical voice while making it's way down to engineering.
Frosty could barely hold his composure. He was so close to rejoining the crew. If only he could just fly out of the hangar and join his friends once again right this very moment, he could forget everything he saw on Karbala. All he had witnessed would become just a bad memory as he would finally be in good hands once more. He could pretend CoG does not exist, he could pretend Karbala does not exist, and he could continue being a member of the TBC. If only Moloch would just let him fly out now.
"Might as well join you then" Jason floated side by side with the Sanghvi as they make their way to engineering, Jason starts a conversation with the sentient talking rock "So when did you join the crew Jag?"
"January 7th, along with most of the other crew members stationed here on this vessel." Jag said while closing on engineering. "So Freelancer Jason, do you intent on staying aboard or are you just waiting till you can reunited with the rest of your comrades later?" Jag asked, still a moment away from reaching the engineering section.
As Moloch saw the Muramasa being towed to the Argos ships, he opened comms to them. "We are sending over a shuttle full of several of our repairmen and engineers, as well as their tools. Along with them we are sending another shuttle occupied by some of my men, as well as a fighter containing our rather special offering to the Muramasa. Please do not be alarmed, we only wish to help, we are not attempting a hijacking."
"Command told me it was best if i stayed with you guys for awhile. I'll still be working for Sparrowhawk, but they said i can work with the TBC anytime i want to. just think of me as a hired gun" Jason replied to Jag before seeing the door to engineering. But Jason has one more question before going in. "So what's your reason to join the crew?"
Amelia bounces around the training room making back flips and elegantly dances, taking advantage of zero gravity.
Markus pushed himself off the wall and floated into the engineering room. He began locating his two knives and finally went to pick up his rifle. As he slung it over his back he steadied himself by holding onto a pipe and turned a screw to give him a extra boost of oxygen to recover from the scuffle. As Hestia came in to tend to Hariim he turned towards Bucky, "Ya all right there, luv?" He then turned as Maddox and Alex entered, "Well well, boy scout's still in one piece." he chuckled, shrugged and looked towards the ceiling "Prim as a peach I am, but I'd be in a better mood if'd gotten to rake that skull cunt 'fore 'e ran off like a fuckin' rat." He turned his head back to Maddox and Alex, pulling out a knife "An' if I ever seen 'is face again, I'm gonna slice it off and use it to wipe my unmentionables." he finished in a low voice.
Argos begin scrambling two of their Apollo frigates to watch the unknown dreadnought while the other kept it's eye onto the DV vessel. Several teams of Argos operatives stood ready for an potential bordering as the Muramasa was diffing towards the Vigilance cargo hold through the ship's tractor beam. The small battle group kept their system on high alert at the sight of this mysterious vessel. Most of the scans the Winged Vigilance preformed we're inconclusive, through the few that did came back with reports of equipment seemly anonymous origins. However, it seemed that almost the few that could be recognized as ancient technology that has been so extensively modified that there is nothing quite similar to what it is now. The system that the usual Triton class merchant processed was unprepared for this type of encounter. Nevertheless, the Winged Vigilance sent it's response over comm channel to this vessel. "Attention, unidentified star vessel. This operation is under our direct jurisdiction, please identify yourselves immediately." The message relayed, backed with the launch of a star fighters flying in an defense formation around the Muramasa and the Winged Vigilance.
