"I did not steal anything from you, Mr. Graves." spoke Moloch after hearing the commotion going on outside his cell.
Maddox turned his head to the cell where the sound came from. "Shut the fuck up you zealous piece of shit." He looked at Hariim and pointed with his rifle. "I might be a spy and a liar but not once did I treat any of you like garbage. I deserve the opportunity to correct these fuckers and show 'em why you don't mess with the fucking gunsmith."
"I did not, Mr. Graves. All Mr. Frosty and I did was search through your belongings to discover whatever devices you used to spy on the rest of the crew were, and we found nothing. If someone burglarized your cabin, it surely was not us."
Hariim frowns at Maddox and shakes his head with disgust. "You revealed to the crew what you were of your own volition. You knew that they wouldn't take kindly to the truth of what you are. If you won't accept the consequences of your own actions, then you shouldn't have ever joined the SSOID. I expected better of a fellow serviceman. Maddox, this is your final warning; leave. Or I will make you leave."
Maddox growled. He clenched his fist. "You'd think that with all that fancy tech in your thick skull you'd be less of a idiot." Maddox grunted and turned around, only to swing around with one of his fists headed towards Hariim's face.
Hariim saw the idiotic move coming. He throws up his arms in a block, drawing his sidearm in the movement. He catches Maddox's fist in one hand, and uses his newly implanted myomar muscle strands to his advantage, twisting hard and dislocating Maddox's wrist. With is pistol, Hariim bashes Maddox's forehead to disorient him. "And now the real idiot is revealed for all gathered to see, Maddox. Didn't they ever teach you how to handle close quarters encounters with creatures possessed of accelerated cognitive processing? That was one of the first things they taught me when I got into the marine brach of the Service."
"Gahhh!" Maddox cried out as Hariim dislocated his wrist. Before he could react he was bashed in the head, making the world spin around him. "You're full of shit!" Maddox then drops his rifle and tackles Hariim into the wall, attempting to deliver a punch with his good, non-dislocated, hand.
Moloch just shakes his head while Frosty wakes up to the sound of Maddox screaming. "What the hell is going on out there?!"
Hariim takes the punch, and doesn't seem to care. He uses his pistol -that Maddox neglected to remove from the equation- to shoot Maddox in the knee. His free hand, which Maddox seemingly neglected to bother restraining, grabs Maddox by the throat and clamps down hard like a vise. Now it's just a waiting game to see how long it takes Maddox to either suffocate, bleed out, or surrender. Hariim has all the time in the world.
With the applied grease, Markus' fist slit right over Taylor deflection attempted and socked her right in the face. Taylor tumbled out of the doorway followed by Markus, who was intent on lying down some more pain on Taylor. However he didn't notice Alex who had been standing on the other side of the door and promptly kicked Markus in the knee. He bent in pain and spun around trying to hit Alex, but given that it was a blind swing, he missed.
Taylor managed to right herself. Holy hell, could he lay a hit. She shook it off, and saw Markus trying to pop Alex, but failing. This was her chance. She moved in quickly, grabbing Markus' other arm, pulling it backwards, and slamming her forearm into his own elbow joint. 'Aim for joints' kept running through her head. If you take out his means of fighting, he can't press on.
Markus winced audibly between his teeth as Taylor pulled his arm back and attacked his Elbow. He was breathing heavily and was becoming noticeably less motivated after receiving blows. Despite being greased up he could not slither his arm out of Taylor's firm grip and opted to use his other arm to try to elbow Taylor in the abdomen with a slim chance from his position.
Maddox widened his eyes and cried out again but much louder this time. He was about to collapse when Hariim grabbed him by the throat. "You fucking shot me!" Yelled Maddox. He was about to say something when he spotted the dark figure which had escaped him a few minutes earlier when he was still inside his quarters. Maddox widened his eyes further as he looked at the creature. "Do you see it?! Hariim shoot the creature!" The gunsmith fumbled with his hands and pulled out his mirco SMG which he used to open fire on the shadow-like figure approaching from the side. Dozens of projectiles whistled past Moloch and Frosty's door and buried themselves into the far wall of the room. Still in Hariim's grip Maddox started to squirm. "Let me down! He's coming to get me!" Maddox pulled out his knife and pointed it towards the creature visible only to himself.
Alex got lucky. Markus missed with his hit. Now he was on his feet and engaged with Taylor. It worked before, might work again. He lined up another shot to Markus knee, while aiming a punch to the head.
Taylor leaned back a bit, but there was really no point to it as the elbow missed the tip of her helmet's chin. She opted to try and grapple him, even though he was pretty greased up. She slipped his arm under hers, and wrapped her other arm around his neck in a choke hold. A crossface chickenwing! The grip would line him up for Alex, who was attempting to join back into the fight.
Markus used his last powers to use his good leg to kick Alex in the side as he attempted to bust his other knee. Alex staggared back but was quick to recover. However, Markus had spent his last powers to use the move and now he could feel himself getting weaker by the second thanks to Taylor's choke. "Let... go o.. me... you cunt." he puffed as he struggled.
"Mr. Frosty, I believe our minor search had some unintended consequences." Frosty rolled his eyes. "Wow, you think?"
"I'll let you go if you give up, and take your greasy ass to the brig. Otherwise, I can keep this up and choke you out or break your fucking shoulder. Your choice." spat Taylor, pulling back on Markus' arm a bit more.
Markus was about to reply but collapsed in Taylors arms.
Hariim is unconvinced. He holsters his pistol and slams Maddox into the wall. He reaches up with his newly freed hand to restrain Maddox's SMG while continuing to sustain his stranglehold. "Surrender, Maddox. Better you do that before you pass out or bleed out."
"IF YOU'RE NOT GOING TO HELP ME THEN YOU CAN GO OUT, FIND THE TALLEST LAMPPOST OUT IN THE STREET, CLIMB IT AND USE IT TO FUCK YOURSELF REAL HARD, BUDDY. YOU CAN TELL THE SENILE OLD DIRECTOR THAT I FUCKING QUIT." The recording then ended after Maddox could be heard growling and, presumably, throwing his communicator into the floor. Director Williams sighed and looked up from the holoscreen. "This is a true tragedy however you were right to report this to me." He said to the intelligence officer sitting on the opposite side of the desk. "From here on out special operative Graves should be listed as MIA. Make sure that all other operatives embedded within Project Troja receive his physical description and image. It is of utmost importance that he returns safely to us." He nodded. "You may return to your now." The officer nodded and got up. Within seconds he was gone. Williams sighed again, deeper this time. He turned to Hades who had remained silent throughout the report. "Ready your men soldier, I have a new mission for you." Hades approached the desk and crossed his arms. "What do you need, sir?" "Hunt down Maddox Graves. That man carries enough sensitive data to let a Creed fanatic waltz in through our front door undetected." Williams grimaced and studied Maddox's dossier. "We have a rogue asset in play." ----- Maddox continues to squirm. "Can't you see him!?" He stares at the figure which gets closer and closer. Maddox stares into Hariim's eyes with a mix of fear of panic. "Stop him! Stop him now!"
Taylor noticed a moment later. "...Hey. You awake?" she said, looking down at him. She let his arm go and looked. Out cold. She looked up to Alex, and gave him a thumbs up. "I'll carry him. Thanks for the help." She then tossed him over her shoulder. "The two of you can return to what you were doing." she said finally, before turning and heading towards the brig. Once there, she found Hariim with Maddox in a strangle hold. "...What the actual fuck is this?" she said loudly.
Moloch called out to Hariim. "Mr. Hariim, I feel you need to know that I am not giving him visions! Please do not charge me with psy-crime."
Hariim shoots some security camera footage to Taylor with a mental command, the clips show the initial confrontation and the short fight. "Mr. Maddox attempted to strike me, and intended to cause harm to Frosty and Moloch. I have been trying to subdue him, or at least get him to stop and give up."
Taylor watches through the video footage, then walks over to an empty cell. She opens it, tosses Markus inside without a second thought, then shuts and locks the cell. Afterwards, she strolls over to where Hariim and Maddox were. "Let him go. I'll deal with him." said Taylor. Her tone was pretty serious.
Frosty tried talking to Taylor as she tossed Markus' greased up ass into a cell. "Is that Markus? What's he doing here?... And why is he in his underpants?" Moloch was also about to speak to Taylor until Markus' shiny, greasy body reflected light onto his face. "... I have so many questions."
Taylor glanced back at Frosty. "He took the hard way." she stated bluntly.
The hard way. In his underpants. Frosty did not like the implications of this.
Hariim turns around, and holds Maddox out so that Taylor can get a grip on him. "Mind him. I think he's hallucinating, he's been saying something about some sort of monster coming for him."
"Mind him. I think he's hallucinating, he's been saying something about some sort of monster coming for him."
"Mhm." was all that could be heard from Taylor. She began removing her armor, shedding the pieces and setting them into a pile over to the side. After she had removed it all, she stepped back over to where Hariim and Maddox was. "Let him go. Completely. I've got this." she ordered.
