Mercy shrugged. "I could not say for certain. Perhaps zhey wish to appear..." Mercy waves her hand about in a circular motion as she says, "...tougher? Or feel zhat way?" She shrugs once more. "Again, I am not zhat sure. I'm no psychologist. Heh... zhe closest I've ever gotten into getting into someone's head is wizh a brain transplant." She caps off. If Sting were to look back she'd see Mercy looking off into nowhere particular, a wistful... almost... deranged look in her eyes...? Weird.
((Heads up: I ran into some stuff, so I'll begin the event posting when I get back.)) [editline]28th December 2016[/editline] Sting was catching some strange vibes from Mercy and began backing away out of the medbay, "Well you have fun with the brain stuff now, take care, so long." she said hastily as she tipped her hat and walked out of the medbay backwards, heading back to the hangar where her truck was parked. --- On the bridge of the HMSS Ryojin, a Boija-Class battleship, Captain Yuga Shuur stood at the holographic map, surrounded by a thin vapor mist. Suddenly, a dot appeared on the map and Yuga communed with the navigator and pilot without looking at them. "[There they are, calculate our trajectory and point of interception.]" Both the pilot and the navigator answered in the affirmative and set to work. Yuga turned to the comms officer who was seated behind her, "[Signal the Batakya and send them the interception coordinates]" she communed with her usual neutral tone. Vakarus walked up behind Yuga, and the latter turned to face him, "I trust you have briefed your commandos and the marines on your assignment?". Vakarus nodded and Yuga turned to the comms officer again, "[Give me a transmission link to the Aurikha, Call for Ms Terika and Captain Caine.]"
The Aurikha had exited warp at nearly light speed at the edge of the system and rapidly slowed as it plunged toward Rigel. Unbeknownst to the crew, they had just fallen into a trap. A chime in the comm system alerted Yanim of a ship-to-ship communication, highly unusual. Concerned, she accepted the link while still standing in the hangar.
Yuga's upper body appeared as a hologram from Yanim's communicator, with her coat on her shoulders and a Garrison cap instead of her old Peaked cap. Her expression remained neutral, "Ahh, Miss Terika. I'm most surprised that you actually accepted my call. But now that we can finally speak, I suggest you gather your trusted employee's for I have some information to share with them."
Yanim hesitated upon seeing Yuga's hologram. Yanim hadn't paid any attention to Yuga's fate after her recent departure, but the fact that she had crossed paths with the Aurikha so quickly afterwards was highly suspect in and of itself. Add in the unlikelihood of locating a ship just exiting warp from such a long distance, and the odds became impossible without some sort of advance warning. Something was definitely up. She used her implant to send a silent command to the ship's autopilot, as Neasha was currently sleeping, gradually steering the ship off its direct course. Aboard Yuga's vessel, the deviation was tracked carefully on the navigation console. It wasn't an evasive maneuver so much as a play for time. "Yuga, I will warn you now that I have no trust for you, even if you're a former ally. You must realize that much of the crew is unavailable at this early hour. So whatever important information you have, share it quickly and it will be passed on. Otherwise, I will raise an alarm."
"Frosty, may I trouble you for a handy-wipe? This one is too dirty." The two were very nearly finished cleaning up Maddox's cabin. All that remained was the gelatin stain on the ceiling which simply did not want to come off. Frosty had dusted off every bit of furniture while Moloch swept and mopped every inch of the floor. Moloch had burned incense into the air, giving the room a fresh scent of spices and aromatic herbs to get rid of the smell of putrid pirate piss. And Frosty tossed Moloch a new cleaning rag so he could get rid of the final stain. "And... done!... Is something wrong, Frosty?" Frosty isn't happy. He's giving Moloch a nasty look that shot straight through his cowl. "Why did you make me do that, Moloch? I know Maddox did something bad against us, but we should've just stopped when we couldn't find anything here!" "He needed to know that what he had done would not be tolerated. And what if Maddox was not the only one? A message needed to be made in the events we had any other spies in our midst. Even potential ones." "We should've just waited for the captain to let us search his room! We didn't need to do this." "Might I remind you that you came along willingly. You had an opportunity to stay in my cabin, as well as not carve that message on the wall there." "This was your idea!" "That was your doing." said Moloch as he gestured to the torn apart pillow in the trash can. "If anything happens to Maddox, it's on you, Moloch." There was a silence between the two as Moloch slowly wiped away the remaining bits of gelatin off his hands. "Frosty?" Frosty says nothing. He turns to look at Moloch instead. "May I confide in you something?" Frosty keeps silent. "All of what you saw on Karbala... would you believe me if I told you our people were not always that way?" Frosty shakes his head. "No." "We were peaceful, Frosty. Back on earth we lived in peace for a short while... with humans, Frosty. You know them as our number one enemy. But it is true... we coexisted peacefully with them, Frosty." Frosty didn't respond or do anything. He did think about what Moloch had said though. After they were done in Maddox's cabin, the both of them went their own ways into their own cabins.
Yuga squinted, "Miss Terika, the information I have is not for you to decided what to do with. But you could be so kind as to pass along a fair warning." she said, her brows turning into a frown. "Given what happens next your crew might be killed down to the last man or..." she continued, pausing to lift her cap and sweep her hair back. " They might split the bounty reward for a certain Yanim Sidikan. Your options are limited, your crew gives you up or you surrender yourself. If you decided to run or fight I can assure you stand a vary slim chance of emerging victorious from the ensuing battle." She paused again and her face turned into a neutral expression, "If you, however, manage to escape from this engagement then let me share a snippet from a old Terran tale. All the world will be your enemy, prince with a thousand enemies. And when ever they catch you, they will kill you." She then flicked open her compass to check the time, "You have an hour. Should you decided not to contact me, I'll take it that you chose your latter option." she concluded, cutting the transmission.
Yanim's eyes narrowed in the holographic projection. A blaring alarm sounded in the background. After a moment of silence, Yanim ended the transmission with no words for her former employee. Back in the Aurikha, those still asleep groggily tumbled out of bed to the realization that the ship was preparing for combat. Yanim opened a channel to all crew members:
We have a traitor in our midst. Someone has alerted our enemies to our position and they have issued an ultimatum of surrender. Yuga Shuur is at the helm of this attack and has offered those of you without spines a chance to betray me for a share of my bounty. I don't fear sharing this with you because you're not stupid. Cataract crew, stay on-board the Aurikha unless you want to get picked off. There's a possibility we will be boarded, so be ready for that, gather your weapons and your gear and be ready for close combat. My crew will operate the Aurikha's weaponry and I will take my place on the bridge. Get to it!
Yanim turned and began to jog for the elevator, her glare disguising real fear- not of a crew mutiny, but what will inevitably come when Yuga's offer expires. --- Once the alarm began to sound, Rask stirred in his cell. "Ayy! Boyscout, looks like my time's finally come. Won't be long now, keh!" A SULP technician walked into the room, carrying a duffel bag with several small weapons and a few personal items. "I've got the package right here, Boss," he said as he began plugging an engineer's override tool into the control panel near the brig doors. He looked over at Maddox as he worked. "How about you, human? You wanna get out of here?"
Vakarus watched Yuga converse with Yanim and spoke up when she finished. "Yuga'ayrin, do you believe that they will surrender her? You did not leave on the best of terms with some of the crew and they are all quite devoted." Yuga turned and looked up at Vakarus, "I have no illusions that Terika will fight to a bitter end rather than giving up her romanticized perspective of her actions. And anyone not in line with her directives will be silenced." Yuga sighed and turned her attention towards the holographic map and followed the Aurikhas dot on it, "In all honesty, Va'un, I pity her. She saw what she perceived as injustice in the galaxy and went about to correct that with the only methods she has come to know. Violence." She released some vapors from her compass and continued, "A rabid dog is only fit to be put down, Va'un. But we are no butchers. Focus your energy on accomplishing the assignment." Vakarus bowed, "Of course, Yuga'ayrin." he concluded and left for the cargo hold where his squad of Vakr commandos and Royal Ayr marines waited. --- Sting stopped in her tracks as the alarm came through. Excited by the news of an impending fight she drew all four of her guns and fired a few shots into the roof, "Yeeee haw! Grab a partner and bring jerky and ammo!" she shouted with glee as she ran out into the hangar towards her truck to restock on ammo.
Taylor looked up as Yanim's message sounded through her holotablet next to her. Yuga was back? And about to attack them? Taylor's face went from serious to almost a grin. "Time for action, Iron. Lets get ready." she said, grabbing her holotablet and standing. She pocketed it, then proceeded quickly on board the Cataract. She had to suit up in her armor, and get her weapons ready. And make sure the others did the same. As she proceeded into the armory, she saw Valkyrie with a half constructed drone in front of her, and four others around her with weaponry in their hands. "I know, I know. I heard Yanim. That's why I loaded these fuckers up." said Valkyrie, glancing up to Taylor before motioning towards the drones. The drones looked at Taylor, and one gave her a thumbs up. "WARHOUND ALPHA ONE: READY." it stated loudly. In its hands, a light machine gun. Two of the other drones had other weapons. Two assault rifles. The last had a LMG like Alpha One. Valkyrie finally had her drone team again, and would probably make decent fire support. Good. Taylor nodded in response to the drone, then headed over. She suited up quickly in her power armor, checking the systems to see that everything was fully operational. She attached her revolver to the outside of her armor, in a magnetized spot on the right thigh, and attached her combat knife to the side of her ankle. She had finally given it a paint job over the past two days using the power armor rack and terminal, painting it a black color with violet stripes here and there. The visor was tinted violet as well, and the letters TBC were stamped on the side beneath the company logo in blood red. She had considered painting it SDF colors, but figured this would make more sense. She grabbed her autoshotty from a rack nearby, and loaded a plasma canister into it. It secured with a hiss, and it was ready to go. She also grabbed one of the assault rifles Mad had made and slipped it onto her back as a secondary, where it attached magnetically. Fully loaded. She didn't want to fight Vakarus, whom she figured was still with Yuga, as she had actually liked him a bit. Still, if it came down to it, she'd kill him. As for Yuga...eh, she wouldn't be part of the boarding party. Especially when she's in command. She'd let the grunts do the work, and would keep her hands clean. Taylor sighed at the thought that she wouldn't be able to get her hands on Yuga.
The AI seemed to lose track of her once she activated the stealth mode of her suit. Only problem was that she couldnt tell if the modifications had worked or the AI was dumb. Amy's testing was cut short however, when the message from Yanim poped. 'Well...shit!' She tried to call her brother only for him to walk in the armory. "Oh, I was about to call you in." "I heard the message and I'm not gonna sit on my ass this time." She could tell that something was eating him and she had a hunch what it is. Or whom it might be. "Do you think that he's right there with her?" "Possibly." Alex replied, codly, while putting on the armor. "What will you do if you come to blows?" He looked at her with a blanc expresion and continued to prepare. He broke the silence after a few seconds. "Then I fight him." "Just like that? No trying to reason? No trying to get your friend on your side again?" "If only things were so easy." He said as he placed on his helmet. "I can try. But no promises." "One last thing. If you're gonna be swinging a power sword at people, take a pistol at least with you so you can shoot at someone from range." "Fine fine. If it will make you feel better." Alex grabbed the nearest one he could find and holstered it. "Valk! You gonna show me what you learned so far or nah?"
Porter stoped playing with a .50 caliber casing on his desk and stood up. He grabbed his shotgun, all clean and shiny, and held slung it over his back. As he ran for the armory, he passed Amelia, "Stay here, use your gun if someone finds you, okay?" Amelia's face is one of worry, but she nods nonetheless. After closing the door for her room, she huddles in a corner behind a desk and waits. Porter enters the armory of the Cataract in a relaxed, but quick manner. He shuffles through ammo packs to carry in a big pouch on his back. Along with those, concussion grenades to confuse enemies. The gasmask he ordered was there as well. His mask beforehand was dirty, cracked, and starting to collect too much dust in the filter. Porter clicked a button on his mask, followed by unhinging a few latches, before it hisses steam. It falls onto the ground as his throat expunges old air and takes in new particles. The new gasmask was hastily put on. It hissed and beeped and booped. The lens is no longer one color, it changes. Woah, an innovation. One that finally made it's way into his line of masks. The lights changed to all the colors of the rainbow, hooking up with his body, running body checks, displaying core temperature, all that mumbo jumbo. Finally, the mask displayed a thumbs up, and it was time to go. He wasn't busting excited, nor did he feel scared. Accompanying him was a neutral expression, a poker face that could be seen just by body language. He looked towards Taylor, "So, what's the plan?" the new gasmask filtered his voice even lower than last time.
Iron opened his hand cannon to make sure that it was loaded and ready. He grunted and closed it up before turning to Taylor. "So what'd ya do to piss this one off?" ----- Maddox got up. "I'll pay you a million if you open that door." ----- Vakarus marched into the cargobay and walked with decisive steps towards a dropship parked at the center. Standing next to the small vessel were a mixed unit of Ayr marines and Vakr commandos. Vakarus greeted them all with a quick bow. The Vakr returned the gesture while the marines simply nodded. Clad in modernized sets of traditional Vakr armor, Vakarus and his warriors had gone through an intensive training program a few days prior. While they already mastered martial arts and had the same cohesion such as a veteran military unit none of them experience with firearms or high-tech gadgets such as the ones installed on the armor. Now they were about to embark on their first mission, marking the first time a unit of Vakr auxiliaries had been deployed to fight for the Ayr Imperial Navy. Their new armors greatly enhanced their psionic powers which would be put to good use along their shiny carbines and lethal staffs. Vakarus gestured towards the dropship without uttering a word. He didn't need to. The commados and marines quickly entered the dropship's rear and sat down. Vakarus remained standing and observed his squad with pride. "Warriors, the time has come. Today we will bring honor to the House of Houses. We will restore stability to this troubled and vast world and through our victory we will save countless of lives." The Vakr nodded as did the marines. "We have been tasked with bringing Yanim'kanadin to justice and we will accomplish this quest without killing her. Yuga'atvan needs her alive, so we will bring her in alive." "Vakr! Arovak nariin!" Vakr! Ready weapons!
Moloch stormed straight to Frosty's cabin after Yanim's message came through. "Do you hear that, Frosty?" "Yeah." "We have company." "Oh yeah." nodded Frosty. "Come. It's time I have shown you the special equipment I have requisitioned for you." The two made their way to he cargo bay, where some extra crates Moloch had brought in when he came onboard were. Moloch unlocked and opened one which revealed what appeared to be some form of mechanical exoskeleton which also included a jump pack on its back. "For you, Frosty. An exoskeleton, pilot class. It fits around your flightsuit and it is slim enough so that you may wear it onboard your starfighter. On its back is a jump pack which I'm sure you will also find useful." He opened up another box filled with general ammunition and explosives. "These are also for you. Take as much as you need." As Frosty put on the exoskeleton and started filling his pockets with grenades, Moloch went to another crate and opened it up. Inside was an armored space suit of sorts. A tall suit of armor that can survive by itself in the depths of space. It did not bear any of CoG's markings, nor did it look like something they have produced at all. Though knowing Moloch, it was probably acquired through rather... brutal means. He started putting on, with his upgraded MAG laying against the wall next to him.
"So, what's the plan?"
Taylor glanced over to Porter. "We defend Yanim, to put it simply. Kill all hostiles." stated Taylor.
"So what'd ya do to piss this one off?"
"Yuga was the captain before me. She and I had different views on how to do things. Drastically different." she said, looking to Iron. Taylor nearly spat out those last words. - - - - - - - - - -
"Valk! You gonna show me what you learned so far or nah?"
Valkyrie glanced up. "If I get in close enough, yeah. Otherwise these fuckers are gonna be hosing people down." she said, before patting one of the Warhound drones on the arm. She finally got up, and started putting on some light armor from nearby. Really just the chest piece and a helmet. She wasn't getting another head injury any time soon. She checked her machine pistol on her side, and patted her newly upgraded cutlass. The high frequency blade she had put on it would slice through armor like butter. She looked at Alex, and grinned wildly.
"We defend Yanim, to put it simply. Kill all hostiles."
Porter was about to interject. In his mind he thought, 'that's not a plan, that's an objective...' but Taylor could use less stress at the moment, so he nodded towards Taylor and walked outside. He stood, waiting for the enemy to strike at any location.
Frosty's voice came right through the armory doorway, with the loud thuds of Moloch taking steps behind him following it. "Hey, are my weapons still here?"
"Never a dull moment here, is there?" Aaron said as he pulled out his 10mm handgun and walked to the armory with the rest of the crew. As he walked, he was reminded of all the exercises he had to do back on Samaria in the Defense Force to prepare for an invasion by Divinity Creed or their friendly neighborhood fascistic regime, Masada. Fortunately, Aaron never had to fight anyone during his service and could only think to himself about what being in a firefight would feel like, what an actual bullet wound would feel like and a bunch of other things, so to quickly ease his nerves he lit himself a cigarette and smoked. Aaron then made his way to the armory, picked out a carbine and awaited orders.
"I'll pay you a million if you open that door," Maddox had offered. "Forget it!" Rask answered. "We'll do it for free." The technician dialed into the system and triggered all of the doors to open, allowing Rask and Maddox to exit their cells. As the technician handed Rask his VRI as well as a small automatic carbine, he also handed over a pistol to Maddox. "We don't have time to wait around and make sure you hold up your end of the bargain, anyway, keh." Just then, another SULP employee came trotting into the brig. "[Oh, you already handled it?]" he asked in the Selovehans' native language. "[The team on the factory floor is ready to go; they sent me down to get the Boss.]" "[Yes, yes. All is good. We're bringing another along, make sure the others know.]" "[He's going too?]" The technician turned to Maddox. "We've got an escape plan that'll take us into Ayr space. You coming with us?" "Where else would he go?" Rask joked as the two finished loading and priming their pistols. --- The Aurikha was correcting its course back toward Rigel when Yanim met with Neasha on the bridge. The latter was somewhat shaken by the rude awakening and hadn't yet fully gained her senses, and as they took their positions, Neasha needed a full second explanation for the details to set in. "Then why don't we just warp out and avoid the fight?" "And go where?" Yanim demanded. "Setting aside the fact that the warp drives just finished discharging, there aren't many safe havens left, Nea. If we go to Duroma, they're just going to follow us. Someone's been telling them where we're going, anyway." Neasha just resigned herself to the controls, knowing she couldn't deter Yanim this time. "Do we have any allies we can call in?" "Possibly. The Boomes still owe me a favor from Zeruel, but I don't know if it's still good after such a long time." --- As the final minutes passed, sending the carrier into the inner planets of the system, enemy reinforcements from the Black Fleet arrived. Two cruisers, the Tyrta and the Viokhmar, commanded by Captain Kiu Vor'Pangn and the recently-reassigned Captain Vixe Sidikan, and a battleship, under Commodore Siyada Vor'Pangn. They sent word to their Ayr comrades that the cavalry had indeed arrived.
[Ready to engage, Captain Shuur.]
Maddox, standing in his BDUs, primed his pistol and grinned at Rask. "I'll cover your ass Rask but don't expect me to take a bullet for you like on Prospera." He turned towards the two SULP employees. "Lead the way boys." [editline]28th December 2016[/editline] ----- Iron grunted. "Sounds like a real sunshine."
Yuga opened up the comm link to her Kanad reinforcements, "Excellent. Be ready to engage on my mark. Attempt to circle around it to force the Aurikha down onto the planet surface." She pressed a button on her console, "[Battery, prepare to fire void cannons on the Aurikhas engines for disabling effect.]" --- Meanhwile, in the brig, Markus was getting noticeably frustrated. "Incase you fuckin wankers forgot, YA STILL GOT ONE O YER FIGHTER LOCKED IN THIS FUCKING CAGE!" he shouted as he shook the bars.
Iron grunted. "Sounds like a real sunshine."
"Oh yes. She's a real peach! The kind you just want to take in your hands and squeeze the fucking li--" said Taylor, stopping mid sentence as she heard Markus shout from the brig down the hall. "Fuck...give me a minute." she said, with a sigh, before setting her autoshotty down. She walked over and grabbed all of Markus' gear from a rack nearby, as they had stored it there for when he got out finally. Then, she proceeded to the brig. "You're lucky I didn't make you stay in here the whole time." said Taylor, as she walked into the brig. She set his stuff down on a table there off to the side, then headed over and unlocked the door to his cell. "There. Suit up. All the stuff you ordered is there too." she stated, before heading towards the exit back to the Armory.
After hearing the news, János quickly went to grab his Tripistolia pacem and his MAWS. He checked if the Mauser C269, Quandt P80, Walther P888 and MAWS were all loaded and ready, which they were. Suddenly, he heard Markus' voice down the hall through his quarter's open door. He rushed down to the hall to find that Taylor had beat him to the Brig. He paced behind Taylor, as she went to the Armory.
Snapping out of her trance, Mercy looked around the once more empty medbay. Letting out a long, drawn out sigh, she made her way back to her room, newfound knowledge in hand, and geared up. Rubbing her eyes and walking down the ramp, Mercy looked around for anyone of interest, SMG slung under her shoulder, she sighed once more. "And now... I suppose we wait."
Vakarus adjusted his helmet. While the new Vakr armor he been a most welcome change as to oppose the beautiful but otherwise heavy traditional armor worn by Vakr warriors, Vakarus still hadn't gotten used to it and all its gadgets. However the advantages was worth it, he reckoned. Not only did the armor come with a personal shield and a plethora of other nifty things but it also doubled the strength of his psionic powers. During training Vakarus and his commandos had experimented with encasing projectiles in a thin layer of psionic energy which proved to be very effective against stationary targets. Vakarus sighed. He had been allowed to visit his homeworld of Adanis very briefly, having travelled to his homestead in Vakrosia. The seat of House Va'un. As beautiful as it had been all those years ago when he left, everything looked the way it used to. But there was an emptiness. His mother, Navala Va'un, was still greatly missed. During his visit he had been able to reunite briefly with his father and sister, as well as his wife. Vakanis and Kalana had been taken by complete surprise and welcomed back Vakarus with joy. His wife however, Lanassa, had been contacted beforehand by one of the local Ayr diplomats. Even if he had only been gifted with a few minutes of holding his loved one once more it had given him enough strength to walk through fire. Or so he felt at least. While he had been happy to see his family and wife, he had spent most of his time apologizing for his past mistakes and while they had been understanding Vakarus knew that the damage gone could not be undone and that the years lost could not be regained. Finally, before he seeked out the best warriors from each house, his wife had introduced him to a very special person. He had not told Yuga about this encounter, nor did he intend to. At least not for now. A armored hand placed itself on his shoulder. "Are you well, Vakarus'atvan?" Vakarus smiled and turned around, he placed his hand on Ranak's shoulder, returning the greeting. "I am well, Ranak'vakrin." Both warriors bowed their heads slighlty. When they were done Ranak gestured towards his rifle. "[Surely the Ayr do not expect us to fight a war using these fragile constructions?]" Vakarus chuckled and glanced at the squad of marines inside the dropship who were busy readying their gear. "[They do not expect us to fight a war Ranak, neither do they expect us to use these rifles for it. They are merely meant to cripple the enemy before you close in.]" Vakarus tapped his fingers against his staff. "[Your staff will always be your best weapon because unlike these rifles, our staffs are more than mere weapons. They are tools and they are extensions of ourselves.]" Satisfied with the answer Ranak nodded and smiled. He went for his seat and sat down. Vakarus osberved his squad. Excluding himself there were eleven other Vakr commandos. Out of those eleven only three were from House Va'un. The rest were from Dal'ik, Ter'an, Lok'un, Niv'an and Ka'ik. Ranak was a warrior from House Lok'un, the hunters. Supporting the Vakr a squad of twelve marines had been embedded with the commandos to provide ranged support as they were far more experienced with ranged combat. At first Vakarus had not been too thrilled about the idea (neither had the marine squadleader) but Yuga had eventually convinced them both that they were better of working together than alone. Vakarus signed. He wasn't worried about the mission. He knew that every other member of the crew would do the same thing in his position. The only thing he worried about was Alex, the man who had helped Vakarus adjust to his new life. Help him grow. Alex would understand, right?
Taylor noticed Frosty and Moloch as she came back into the Armory. "Your guns and such are over there, Frosty. Grab whatever you two need." she said, pointing to a table near the back of the Armory. She stepped over and retrieved her autoshotty, then looked back at the two. "Did you finish with Mad's old room?" she asked, tilting her head a bit as she lifted the weapon up off the floor.
"Go and see. Not a stain was left behind. Frosty and I cleaned every inch." spoke Moloch, though almost intelligible due to his helmet having a voice modulator inside of it. Meanwhile Frosty picked up and loaded his warmaster, and talked to Taylor. "Who are we up against? Is it the Death Vigil again?"
"Yeah actually," Aaron added "who are we up against?"
"Just remember what I taught you and any idiot who gets close would end up dead." Alex did a final check on his armor. Everything was ready. The Myrmidon was traditionally used by law enforcement all over the galaxy. Handy for dealing with rioting civilians who would use mellee and the ocasional gun. The Creed liked to use it aswell. Outfiting their crusaders with it. Light enough not to drag you down, but sturdy enough for you to survive some really strong hits. It would serve him well. Amy just had to grab her own gun and was ready for what was to come. Time for a field test of the new armor anyway. When hearing Markus yelling down the hall she had an idea form in her head. He was big, strong and knew how to use a long range rifle. "Anyone have any idea where Maddox put that anti-material rifle? Because I think we can test fire it on some live targets now."
Taylor looked to Frosty. "Our former crewmates Yuga and Vakarus, and the troops under their command. They want Yanim captured and are willing to take her by force. We're not letting that happen." she stated, before glancing to Aaron. "Be prepared to fight Ayr Marines and whatever else they throw at us." She heard Amy ask about the anti-material rifle, then thought for a moment. Yeah, that'd help out a lot as long as they didn't hit the bulkhead. "In that storage room over there. Ammunition is in that crate next to the handgun rack." she said, pointing out the room and crate. Valkyrie motioned for her drones to head out, and the stomping of four heavily armed Warhounds sounded off as they marched out of the Cataract with Valkyrie following behind.
