I don't understand why people are trying to generate new chunks. Jens stated that 1.7 worlds will not have 1.8 content even when you generate new chunks.

well actually new chunks do have the old mines, but most of the new chunks are ocean (about 95% of it)

I travelled to x:30000 z:4000 and found new chunks with mineshafts and ravines in them
finished the town square

I just joined this server for the first time.
I decided, on a whim, to help a fellow noobs who was fighting back a spider. We killed him, then he turned around and tried to kill me. (I beat him to death with my fist since I had more health.)
Then I saw person standing RIGHT by lava, took him by surprise, and pushed him in. He ragequit'd.
I think I am going to like this server.
Move the thread back to the Minecraft section, feels weird with it being here.
