I'm trying to either persuade garry/mods to move the server back to the minecraft section, or have a subsection under the minecraft section for servers.

I'm gonna miss the US server, I was still trying to find a place for my base, after finding a load of diamond and shit on the floor.
It's not dead, still has 40 people on almost every evening. What are the last posts on the previous page on about? It just doesn't have as many FP members playing.
Also, statistics as of lately:
7,890 unique players have connected since august,
55,000~ total unique players since the beginning,
World is 11 months old and is 59,7 gb.
How can a minecraft world even get this large, must be really badly programmed. I'm going to have to buy two (or more) harddrives and run them in RAID soon.

It is in 1.8 chunks so it must be recent. It didn't have that much loot, but looked pretty nice.

I went there, there is stuff built there, however it's just a pretty long mine-cart rail with nothing at one end, and a dirt hut at the other.

I'm going to give this server another try.
Its so hard to get out of spawn. I went thousands of blocks without finding trees or animals. I finally found one cow and a clump of trees. Then I found a freshly stocked house that I raided. Got some great loot out of it.
Now I found a cool castle on the side of a mountain. I'll fix it up and make it look like nobody's here.
So I spent an hour making a house for my friend when he comes back into the server, we were like 3k blocks out... And he joins the server, thinks its someones house, and griefs it, and destroys the bed, and i spawn in and /kill myself to get back to the house.... and I spawn at the normal spawn.

This is something you can't grief. If I ever found this place, the most I would do is steal some things. But really, you shouldn't just grief a place like this, especially not while they're offline.

That is a worldwide problem for every 1.0.0 server. I think it has to do with the client trying to connect before the server can send a request to minecraft.net to authorize them. Just keep trying to join...
Yeah, now it fails once and then just gets infinite end of streams, so now every attempt requires me to reset. :(

End of Stream means minecraft is denying you to ping the server, don't refresh for ~10 seconds...

it isn't on 1.0.0 yet. Housemaster said after he is sure there is no issues like crashes he will bring it up, and if there is issues we will have to wait for bukkit to be updated.
Going up on 1.0.0 in a few hours. It takes a few hours to back it up (the bad way).
I had hoped to see a new fresh world now that Minecraft is released.
