Server is back up, although it is lagging pretty badly
BTW, any groups/gangs/factions and whatnot that are looking for new members? :(
Already got 5 guys, sorry :(
Whoever runs the server needs to release the map as a save for exploration purposes.

The nether is 4gb, speedhackers didn't really increase it more than average players and I wouldn't release it even if the size was smaller.
Although I would truly love to see the cartographed map. It would rock if you had Dynamic Map installed, but then again it would compromise so many peoples bases.
You guys are never going to get the map, nor a cartograph of the map, so shut the fuck up already

Challenge accepted.

Just played there for the first time, found 2 bases, they had hilariously badly hidden secret passages. 'twas fun.
Holy shit, I actually managed to find trees, coal, and wool before dark.
Now just to wait the night.
Let's have another round, vote!

I'm going to do something, expect new friends!

is there anyone banned from this server?
wasn't some guy banned for flyhacking a while back
Shouldn't housemaster do the thread?
Fell into a lava trap, I had an iron toolset too :suicide:

no one has ever been banned who told you this? I even put it as a message when you log in, "trust no one"
How high should a ceiling be for underground treefarms?
How high should a ceiling be for underground treefarms?
I'd go 20-25 to be safe.
How high should a ceiling be for underground treefarms?
To prevent branches from growing, cap the ceiling at 8.
So I finally reached Watchpost Onahole. (What remains of it, rather.)

What you don't see is the secondary watchtower's remains I took the last screenshot from on top of, the farm that was left relatively intact with only the crops being stolen and my "panic room" made of obsidian that I forgot to make a proper ceiling for.
Whoa, run-on sentence.
All of these newfags should be added to KoS until they understand how this server works:

There was another one but he has too many x's in his name that I couldn't remember what the fuck it actually was. I'll edit it in later.
The other one was "l0new0lf".
Well. My tower and wall got blown the fuck up, but they were not my base. I left however as I got recent traffic through there. Packed up my valuables, decommissioned my mine cart track. Left my pistons by mistake but they are easy to craft.
The base has a farm, tree farm, and sugar cane farm. Still loot in there, for sure. The entrance can be blocked off by a lava 'wall' via a switch and pistons.
Now do I give out the coordinates or not? Because I'm long gone already.
okay any of you guys wanna admit to looting my base?
little underground place (originally setup as an outpost) with an iron door at around -8000 / +8000. Least you guys were kind enough to not loot any of the shit we had. ;D

so nice
I killed some random people sneaking their way into my house, just to end up with like 10 stacks of mushrooms they dropped.
I'm gonna put up signs in my base that shows today's date, that way when someone breaks into here they know it's active. I hate breaking into bases and having a debate with myself to loot or not to loot, because I don't know if it's active or abandoned for months.

What the fuck, who carries that many raw mushrooms.
Oh 2b2t.net, a new surprise every day.
Just tried joining for the first time. This is amazing!
1. Died a few times while trying to escape the massive walls of water at spawn. My netbook lags pretty hard in Minecraft and my view distance is minimal, which makes navigating over the huge, random pits a little tricky.
2. Finally manage to get out of spawn! Someone was kind enough to leave a small tunnel going straight through the waterfalls.
3. While randomly wandering the lands, darkness suddenly falls. What the hell? That was way too fast to be sunset. I turn around and realize that the land behind me is still bright. Then I realize: there's a massive platform in the sky blocking the sun from all the land in front of me (my view distance was too small to see it). I set about collecting two stacks of dirt to make the climb.
4. An epic escape! As soon as I finish collecting dirt a gang of skeletons converge on me (they must have been spawning in the darkness of the platform)! I frantically build upwards as arrows lodge themselves in my little tower. The platform is HUGE! Once again, because of my draw distance I can't see the limit of it. After walking on it for a while (and wondering how the hell I'll ever get down) it conveniently connects with the top of a grand tower.
5. The tower has a portal to the Nether! Off I go! The fortifications in the Nether are impressive: huge walkways spanning the lava seas, massive staircases leading off into the distance. There are hundreds of furnaces everywhere, which leads me to think that the builders used a duplication bug in order to gather these resources. After walking for quite a while I find another portal. I take it, with the hope of emerging far from the hell of spawn.
6. The portal exit is inside a natural cave. Multiple pathways lit by torches twist through the rock and I follow them at random. I eventually find myself in the belly of a massive underground base (former FP property?). I lost track of how many massive rooms I walk by (impressively, I even find grass). The base is deserted and appears to be thoroughly looted, judging by the sparse torch placement.
7. I'd love to stay and look around but I can hear zombies all around me - they've taken up residence now that the torches are gone. A single massive staircase seems promising and I follow it, though it quickly plunges into complete darkness. I run on, fearing that mobs will start spawning within my only hope of escape. Eventually I hit a dead end, but I can see the edges of grass on the dirt blocks.
8. I clear away the dirt. Shit: it's night and I can hear spiders. Luckily I'm on a small ledge on a cliff. I stick my single torch (which I scavenged from the underground base) against the wall and try to wall off a bit using my leftover dirt. There are four spiders with their eyes on me: one above and three below. One begins to climb, I swing and miss, he takes a bite out of my health and knocks me backwards... off of my ledge. I land in the waiting swarm below and die.
9. I'm back at spawn and get my first sign of human life! I knight in glittering armor named dbz933 stands beside me! As I make small talk he punches me to death repeatedly. I lose my connection with the server.
