Is there any way to complete an entree way to a panic room that is somewhat strong? I feel that iron doors are just not enough (not to mention they glitch out of sync when placed next to each other) compared to the obsidian surrounding it.

nope. thats what sucks about minecraft. you cant really create anything impenetrable. creating a house out of obsidion is a waste of time, because it will only take a robber/greifer etc. a minute or two to break in.

I was pretty safe a 2k for some reason, I lasted two weeks before I left base to go as far as I could in the Nether. Then I died and lost all my stuff.

I was really safe at 1k, our base never would have even fallen if we hadn't started a faction war. And it was already going a week strong. Which is fucking amazing because I installed xray to learn how it works and hide from it, and god damn, that base was like an underground lighthouse. I honestly can't even believe it survived a week.

I think most hackers just fly past 1k and 10k, so that might be a bit of a safe zone.

Even though I have an established base at around 14k, is it worth just packing all my shit and using the nether to go even farther?

What's the X?[/QUOTE] If you're moving too fast/off the ground too long it just lags you back to where you were 5 seconds ago. It's pretty useless now, except that you can go slightly faster in water.

Acquire bucket of water. Problem solved.
