For example: My castle at 300x, 3000z was a magnificent sight. Tons of work went into it, though it was a bit small as far as castles go. I abandoned the place soon after completing it. When I returned, the place was in ruins with signs that people had settled at/near there... I.E. a GIANT castle surrounded by a lava wall. Even our underground 'proper' shelter had signs that it was being used. I dunno, I get some sense of satisfaction in knowing that people will come a crossed these ruins and admire what it could've been in their prime, and that it will essentially last forever, as most griefers won't bother to destroy every trace of a structure, but leave it in shambles.

Could be interesting to hear the stories of the rise and fall of various settlements, as well as the accounts of the people responsible for it.
There'll be alot of contrast between the founders and destroyers though.

Meh I could see it kind of being a point if you made the library in a really secure location and you could, you know, write in books. Otherwise it's kind of pointless. People get tired of this server anyways and leave after a little bit, there's no real point of saving character bios. If you're gonna write down anything, make a summary of all the epic things that went down in 2b2t. The first time I got there while traveling, I found someone's live wolf in the quarry, still faithfully sitting at his post.
Came the second time, he was gone. :(
I've always only stayed a night there, then got in my boat and started off when the sun arose.

It's so amazing to just roam around the server finding ruins and marking down coordinates for neat buildings and nether portals. I don't get mad when I die now because I can just find the closest nether portal and get there pretty quick. Don't gotta worry about tools or anything cause you can usually loot everything you need from unprotected bases. Plus the no admins and no banning makes it kinda hilarious to see people whine :v:
