I know I have no right to tell Housemaster what to do but when 5/6ths of the community is asking for a wipe, it really should be listened to. The only people who are opposing the restart are the people that abused the duping glitch to hell and back or have obscene amounts of diamond blocks and stuff like that.

To be honest if there isn't going to be a new map with 1.8, I'm going to find a new server. For starters this map is more unstable than Helen Keller on a unicycle right now, and I want to actually be able to experience the 1.8 features (because single player is wank).

There isn't going to be a new map because the map is the "thing" of 2b2t. It has been on for so long that you will find ruins where ever you look. That's what makes 2b2t for me.
Actually, Housemaster himself said that if, through some horse-shit occurance, the map is completely un-salvageable via corruption, he would start a new map.
But after this last time you can imagine the shit would have to get pretty damn fucked up for him to do that.

Let's all go to farlands and fly around aimlessly to make the map lag as much as possible to the point where it has to create so much new data that it will explode.

If Pickaclient's Freecam tool generates new chunks, just hold down the W key when you go to bed. If well all do that then the server'll be like 500 GB when we wake up.

Freecam lets you view the chunks loaded around your player, it does not actually move the player.

I fucking know that Freecam doesn't move the player, rather it controls the view or something. I wasn't sure whether or not if it generated chunks if you went outside of it's view.
