ofc not new chunks start at about 10-20k if u walk the correct way. pretty much 100% new chunks if u walk past 20-30k

Came back after 4 months, items gone and base raided, the guy I was teaming with never online anymore :(
I found an abandoned/destroyed castle and am currently rebuilding it. It's right near a snowy biome, anyone know about it?
Also I'm going to make it my duty to plant as many trees as I can around it. :v:

It would be interesting if there were factions or at least larger groups of people that just raided places and such.

No, there are a few spergs who "raid" places and leave signs behind like "this place was raided by <insert sperg group name here>" not "larger" groups of people, usually its just 1 guy who calls himself a group, i observed one do that, he ofcourse killed me when he noticed i was standing in a corner behind him
On the us server; I built a nether portal..the portal spawned me in a human-made 1x2 tunnel. I got creeped out horribly.

Nether tunnels are dumb. They just lead you right to your base, or in the general area so some guy only has to sweep the area around it with X-Ray to find you. Always hitchhike others' tunnels then find a way to surface of the nether, make a portal, go through it, set a bed, then go back through and destroy the portal component in the nether so you leave no trace.

Roving gangs of players would be pretty neat. It'd force players to consider their base design more carefully, plus increase the benefit of having a partner. And being a part of one would be really cool :yarr:
On the other hand it'd suck to be a lone player assaulted by a large group of raiders.

2b2t.net has been around for much longer and has a larger community on it. Much bigger map, more to explore, more fucked up shit going on.
2b2t.us is very new and I doubt it's anywhere close to gaining the same "chaotic, anarchist" feeling that the .net server has to offer. Less people, map is less explored.
It's a matter of preference though.
