We have 3 new custom maps in the works which is pretty cool. The one pictured above will go live on the server in the next few days, after closed testing.
Isn't that one of the maps from Hl2?
Actually something like 5 of them
Isn't that one of the maps from Hl2?
Yup, as Disseminate said it's a lot of them put together with modifications made for RP.
Kind of want to see a redesigned/rebuilt version of RP_Subtransit for this. Also a friend of mine could make great use of this script/system
Think I might give this a go, do like a bit o' decent HL2RP.

the canals server is a pretty stellar place for RP now. Lots of nice people there and the few minges that occasionally get through the quiz almost never manage to make it this far.
I'd play on this server more if you have us a tiny bit more freedom, e.g. let us build shit by default, without having to write an essay on your forum and convincing people. I really don't think it'd harm roleplay in any way, you could just punish people who build shit, non-rp stuff OOC.
Just some C&C, you obviously worked very hard on this and did a good job.

uhhh, all you have to do to get basic tooltrust and solid props is ask for it using /a ingame. Adv TT does require a forum post and two admins giving you their ok, it's not exactly the hardest thing to get unless you're a known troublemaker.

I don't understand where you're getting any of this.
You can ask an admin in-game for basic TT, no application required. We block some tools that need admin authorisation so we know they're not going to be abused, but you don't require an 'essay' to apply, you just need to provide proof of your recommendation and give us an idea of why exactly you want access to the tools. You can spawn props and build shit as soon as you join the server.
rip CC
you were the best of us.
one of the few communities i approved of for hl2rp
You've gotta be kidding me.
You'll make the source code available, right?
You'll make the source code available, right?
Probably not, not for free anyways. This is a year of just pure coding we're talking about.
A year and a half.
A year and a half.
No, just a year. May 24th, 2013 - present
There goes one of the last large serious roleplay communities that was managed by someone with a great head on his shoulders.

the moment it was announced, everyone in ts was like "where the fuck do we go now?"
clockwork, which is filled with shit now.
nutscript, which doesn't have a big gathering, hl2rp wise, just yet
or just quit gmodrp.
ripperoni, most chose the last option. and i don't blame 'em.
Not leaving the GMod scene entirely, just departing from the roleplay scene.
We'll be back with feature filled gamemodes that are a bit easier for us to manage.

You will not likely find a decent community that will fill CC's void for a long time unless you're willing to RP outside the hl2 universe.
damn shame to see the script just go to waste now
if its gonna be sold I guarantee it will become the new clockwork.
if its gonna be sold I guarantee it will become the new clockwork.
I wouldn't be against that tbh. I rather have Disseminate get money instead of Conna.
I would also prefer that, I love disseminate to death and CC going under really does upset me but I feel like it's gonna cause him more headache is he does sell it. Leaking, drama, etc
Up to him though, with a year invested into a script and only the server you designed it for lasting a month is be looking into selling the script to make up for a bit of lost time.
That didn't last long.
It's a shame really, I don't think that many people got to play it that would've really enjoyed it (including me), I wish I wasn't so busy with other projects and stuff and I could've played, oh well.
Anything to stop giving money to Conna is a great idea. :)
This went down? What happened? :(
This went down? What happened? :(
None of the admins have the time or capability to keep it going towards the original vision, so I shut it down and refunded all donations
hl2rp is dead
so much potential
RIP
Despite being a HL2 RP competitor, it's sad to see you shut CombineControl down Disseminate. I found the concept of your gamemode refreshing, and many of your features were creative alternatives to how HL2 RP is usually done. Although I've not implemented any of your features in LemonPunch, I was quite inspired and we had some interesting discussions in our staff regarding some things we could potentially do differently. In my opinion, good competition has a healthy effect in the sense that servers differentiate themselves and offer players new things that nobody's tried before, and in the end, may inspire each other. I hope to see you start projects in Garry's Mod soon again.
This is too bad, intended on returning to playing now that I had freed up some time.
