You can't just arbitrarily decide who gets to play and who doesn't, and if you do then you're no better than as was explained by you previously.
If the American faction can incite rebellion, then they'll do it. It's not as simple as giving the Colonists what they want.

In this case, I can. The territory is mine, and if I decide to cede it, I choose who it goes to.
It's like if you decided to cede some Austrian territory to a new player so they could be Hungary, but instead Logan forced it to go to a player that was playing The Black Hand or some shit, you'd be fairly upset.
And it is that simple. They got exactly what they want. They wanted freedom, now they have it. They're no longer being taxed by or controlled by the British Crown. They are their own nation, allied to England. What more is there for them to fight for?

First of all, You never ceded territory to the American faction, they exist within your realm and didn't hold any land, so ceding land to someone else is really a bad example.
And second of all, people still remember bullshit the British empire pulled before you took the reigns (I.E. Stamp Tax). You can't just get away that easily. Give them complete independence with their own government that you don't appoint and then that would be pretty good.
