The problem about this map's accuracy is that this takes place in 1775, that was before accurate maps were made so there are so many contradictions. I try to find multiple sources and maps for that era and there are so many differences that I don't know what is true or not. For example one map from 1775/1776 says Belize is British but another says it's Spanish, and another says the Ottomans owned Tunisia but another says it doesn't, and don't get me started on India, etc.
What's EUIV say?

[editline]5th August 2014[/editline]
Yes but right now it'll be very hard [editline]5th August 2014[/editline] Alright guys we have enough nations right now. I won't be adding more for a few more turns
I'm still working everything out so I'm going to send in my turn soon.
Use GEACRON
I did for most of it, but I'm looking at other sources too that are supposed to be accurate. The first problem I noticed with geacron is that it says Spain owned all of the southern Argentina area even though it remained unowned by any European until after the independence wars.
Okay, I'll send in my turn later unless by that edit you weren't including me.
No no you can play
Okay I'll send it in tonight then. I would now, but it's almost dinner (food in the oven) and after that may have something to do.
First of all, to recover from debt, you'd have to tax people heavily, unless you want your economy to suffer and eventually default on your loans (IE Not good). In 1775 Mines weren't really set up yet and those that were, were mostly iron, so no you aren't making much from the mineral wealth. Alongside that the only way you can really make money from cash crops is taxes, and we already discussed taxes earlier. So if you want to keep the Americas, then your either going to have to drop your army and cut down costs on your navy, or tax your people.
First of all, I'm not IN debt, and it doesn't matter if mines "aren't set up yet" I'm doing it NOW so they WILL be. Iron is NOT the only resource of the New World it's rich in aluminium, gold, silver, coal, precious gemstones, and other wonderful ores yet to be discovered. And no, I will make money directly from the sales of cash crops. America is MY COLONY the goods they produce are, therefore, MINE. It all contributes to MY economy. And I don't even remember asking you. I don't know who you are but I already don't like you very much, so stop talking to me. [editline]5th August 2014[/editline]
Can I play as a faction instead of a nation? Would like to defeat Britain in the American revolution.
Not going to happen. Crossu already tried and quit before the game even started because I'm doing what the Americans WANTED from Britain. Fair legal representation. I don't know this person and he's telling me how to play a game I've been playing for ages. Where I come from and where I was raised you don't just start dictating orders to someone you don't know. It's extremely rude.
I am the mighty Portugal, fear our oven roasted Brazilian coffee

Hey guys can Russia not annex Poland-Lithuania turn one? I actually want to enjoy this game.

Also who is Russia? I want to speak some terms with you involving the PLC and a cool plan I had for you and Korea.

Which Ottoman flag is better, agree for the one I made up (left) or disagree for the historic one from 1775 (right)

Not to mention as mentioned before your colonies in North America are starting to cause a net loss of money. If you want your colonies kept, you're going to have to pay a heavy price.
Geacron says Spain owned Belize until 1798 when somehow Britain got it.
Geacron is retarded then. The Spanish never claimed nor colonized it. The British did. The Spanish didn't think it was worth it because the natives were too pissy and there wasn't enough resources (see: gold) [editline]5th August 2014[/editline]
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_St._George%27s_Caye
Haha jesus. 7 failed attempts to take a shitty colony they didn't even want in the first place. They considered it a "Colony" but never actually settled it. The British and Baymen Pirates settled it in spite of this fact.
Spanish conquistadors explored the land and declared it a Spanish colony but chose not to settle because of the lack of resources such as gold and the strong defense of the Yucatán by the Maya. Later English and Scottish settlers and pirates known as the Baymen entered the area in the 17th and 18th century respectively and established a logwood trade colony, slave economy and port in what became the Belize District.[19] Baymen first settled on the coast of what is now Belize in 1638, seeking a sheltered region from which they could attack Spanish ships (see English settlement in Belize). The settlers turned to cutting logwood during the 18th century, establishing a system of slave labour using Black slaves. The wood yielded a fixing agent for clothing dyes that was vital to the European woollen industry. The Spanish granted the British settlers the right to occupy the area and cut logwood in exchange for an end to piracy.[13]
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belize#Colonial_history [editline]5th August 2014[/editline]
You actually are in debt, you just came out of a very expensive war not 20 years ago and are still paying it off.
