I try to find multiple sources and maps for that era and there are so many differences that I don't know what is true or not. For example one map from 1775/1776 says Belize is British but another says it's Spanish, and another says the Ottomans owned Tunisia but another says it doesn't, and don't get me started on India, etc.

arguably the industrial revolution started in Britain in the late part of the 18th century, but it certainly hadn't started anywhere else until at least the post-napoleonic period. by that point, britain was still a fairly predominantly agrarian society until the mid 19th century
