Tbh Telepethi while what you're doing now is kinda quelling the talk of rebellion. The colonist are still pissed about taxes and a HM style of government. I mean if Matt plays his cards right, he can very well succeed.

As I recall Britain wasn't in nearly as much debt as it was after the french and indian war. Also if it were completly based off of economics then Great Britain woudn't have been able to move the amount of manpower they were able to in the Americas during the revolution .And who is to say I won't help him in the case of a rebellion? I am after all bound to protect him due to the treaty of windsor.
