i played 4 matches with a UK fucker. The lag was noticeable with occasional small spikes, my shields weren't going up in time and my aerials were hard to pull off with much precision. This stuff is fine for casual play, but for a tournament with cash prizes, absolutely not. I'm gonna try with other people just to be sure but right now I'm pretty certain this is gonna be an NA tourney.

I want to sign up but I'd need to know a definitive start/end time due to my work schedule (I'm free between 3pm and 9pm on most weekdays)

Played some more games. Tournament will be NA only. It's just too damn disorienting going back and forth between lagless US matches and slightly off matches with others far away. It's just not a setup you want to have in a tournament. Someone else can feel free to make other regional tournaments, though.

I really wish I had a wireless internet connection at my place, this sounds super fun. I was crazy competitive back with Brawl, went to a tourney or two, and I'd really like to see how I'd stack up after all this time against the rest of you crazies. In any case, good luck my warriors!

They're gonna be shitty phone quality but whatever.

Unless something goes horribly wrong these next few days, I'm setting a final start date of December 19th for this FYI i've updated the OP for the start date and to give quick links to the profiles of all the combatants.

OH btw, anyone who will be setting matches with me. Just a reminder. I can't join anyone in Steam or Skype when the matches will be live. My PC is upstairs and the console is downstairs. So, we'll just set up everything before going. There is still the voice option but I heard it's a bit hard to hear the other person. Little inconvenience but shouldn't be detrimental to the fun.
