in my opinion. This is the best RP server ever!. When I was Mob Boss and killed the mayor (no solar god, the other one) he roleplayed his death. And I like the map, the sewers are just awesome. Until my mice died..... Edit: I enjoyed the City of No Trolllol :dance:

Seriously? We're just honest people trying to have fun. You aren't accomplishing anything but evoking a reaction and making people feel sad. Which, if that was your goal in the first place, worked out incredibly well on your part.

Been a bit longer than 5 minutes, but I decided to go ahead and apply the everyone can buy lockpicks/keypad crackers and doctor's buy healthpacks deal right now since it was convenient.

Started it up but my console can't bind to a port and the network seems to be busted up bad. Either Elpis is broken, or we're still being DDOS'd.

I think I should have expanded on when I wasn't a hotel manager in my other post, but oh well.

I don't know what to do guys. I'll continue working on any suggestions, but I can't get the server up.

I think my best moment so far was being a gangster with gbro. We didn't have clearly defined goals, and we didn't have any resources, but we did stuff, and that was cool. I'll join again later tonight since I've got nothing better to do. Once the server is back up, at least.

Well until the issue is resolved and/or my provider moves me to a new node, what are some things you all would like to see implemented? I'm going to add a faction system so rather than "gangsters" and "gang leaders," people can make their own little groups. Anything else you all want while I can't operate the server, but can still code?

If I were you, I'd use /job instead of having a list of jobs. Will join when I get back in ~1 week.

No particular order: Keep the job list. It just makes it easier. Add a timer to certain jobs. Player must have played this much time in order to pick this job. Until they get to that time, don't display the job at all. I like the existing gang idea. We don't have a lot of people on at any given time, so the idea that we'd have more than one full gang is silly. Still, I'm up for either. Make a better interface. The default DarkRP one is just awful. Put up the downloads on the workshop (or just a regular zip) to speed up join time. It's minimal right now (which I like), but we can do better.

I think there should be 3 jobs, police, mayor, and civillian, with lots of models for each. The /job command is great.

Something I like about the jobs menu as is, is that certain people can't get at the things shopkeepers sell, so they need the shopkeeper to provide it to them. I feel like manypeople wont go to the shop if they dont have to.

I like the jobs because they kinda give people that little boost they need to get an RP idea. For instance, in Pistachio, a lot of people can't think of anything to RP and they get bored. There's really not much to a job, just a pay difference of $5, a title that you could configure, and a few buyable items from the store. Also, lowered the pay for shopkeepers to below the normal income significantly; shopkeepers actually have to sell things to break even. The server is down now. I was on the server making some custom playermodels and then it crashed.

This is a good idea, I'm sure it will last a long time.

Sorry about that, woke up about an hour or so and make some derma adjustments because defaults HUD looks like ass. I'll be changing the F4 menu in a few minutes.

I'll be joining this when it's back on, it looks like loads of fun.

So Jon joined the police academy and worked as a patrol officer under chief of police, Carl Winslow. The two began to form a partner bond as they set cameras up around town and ensured that society was in check. When the new mayor joined office, he was thoroughly against minorities, including Jon's superior and partner, because of Carl's blackness. However, Carl was allowed to stay on the force, and eventually the mayor became ill and Carl and Jon became unemployed. Carl moved into an apartment after being thrown out by his wife, and Jon, with no steady income, became roommates with Carl. Jon moved in his retro modern pink and floral toned furniture, as well as his modern art and newspaper clippings. After the mayor was well again, the two joined the squad again, only to for Carl to be denied his previous spot by the racist mayor. Jon convinced the All American mayor, that if they were to hunt down the infamous communist party leader, he needed his partner back. Carl, Jon, and a new recruit hunted down Jerry Costanza and arrested him, bringing him to the mayor to be dealt with. However, after overhearing the mayor's desire to execute Costanza, Jon and Carl burst in and saved the communists life; the communist fled with his AK-47. Carl was shot in the leg by the mayor before he went down, and developed a permanent limp. A new mayor came into power and offered Costanza a hand at peace. Jon, Carl, and the recruit were sent to apprehend him yet again, and found him insanely muttering to himself while working on a broken tank. Costanza met with the new mayor and rejected his offers of work after drinking vodka and left in a fit of rage. Eventually the mayor stepped down and Jon and Carl were unemployed yet again. Jon took lead as mayor for the time being, as a band of Algerian boomchakalas came into town, with a prince and his diplomat. As Carl was the only black in town, he was the only one that could speak their "click click click" language. Eventually Carl lost his way and began failing as a cop, eventually joining a band of gypsys as he had no family, and had put Jon's life in danger following a failed assassination attempt. Jon, corrupted by the power of mayoral positions, altered himself into an ADAM suit, becoming a Dear Leader Bot. A BNP consulate installed a Gypsy Eradication software into Jon and he went on a Gypsy killing spree. Jon did not realize he had shot Carl until it was too late. Jon shut himself down permanently, and buried his partner along with their modern art and stylish furniture, in a grave outside their apartment.
